Yo Slack, been subbed since way back.. your production value and personality is just fantastic. I hope this stays a passion for you and that your channel continues to grow
I got the hillside cave in my playthrough. Even after all the hours in my game.. I once again learned something new this vid. I had no idea I could farm the water and gas after scanning them. Too hilarious.
Now that I've played through with Slack I'm going back and adding comments from ChatGPT about the Slack: While specific details about the channel's creator or creators, such as their background or personal information, might not be widely publicized, Major Slack Attack has carved out a niche in the UA-cam gaming community for its detailed and strategic approach to video game walkthroughs. For gamers looking to improve their play or find new ways to enjoy their favorite games, Major Slack Attack offers a wealth of content to explore.
Welcome Sgt Big Dick in the army of Slack, your enlistment was way overdue 🤣🤣 Much appreciate you going through all these little details and explanations before jumping head first towards the actual mission objective. Thats a proper walkthrough.
I did not know gases could be harvested that way. Over 200 planets landed on and 500 plus organic resoures harvested and I just knew you would tell me something that I needed to know. Thank you Sir.
You can wander the landing area killing Kreet Grazers and trilobytes, much faster at racking up 20 kills and then voila you level up Ballistic and do extra damage when taking on the enemies in the research lab, plus the pirate enemies then count toward the 50 kills you need for the next Ballistic level up. In addition, Vasco stealing kills inside the facility then becomes a non issue. With the Eon and the Maelstrom you'll have more than enough ammo for all this. So often your "requirements" are unnecessarily specific.
Welp, I just learned a far better way to start the game and get a level early but geeze Slack... Poor Vasco ! I like him ! Yeah, he steals your kills but at least he doesn't hate on everything you do or tell you he has something he'd like to discuss with you every 3 mins. ! Can't wait to see the special awards you come up with for some of the other NPC's later on. As always, love you work !
Hey Slack! I had a radio/transmission tower at that location-no turrets or npcs there but I did encounter-and got chased by-a terrormorph. I had no idea what it was at the time, all I knew was my bullets were barely scratching its health bar.
Sweet! Way better than the Mass Effect 3 walkthrough I suggested when you were taking requests a few months back!!! Unfortunately, I will be playing vicariously through you, regarding Starfield, but I am really enjoying the gameplay so far!
What a great episode slack nice that pee wee n big d&%k made a appearance too there so funny my dude.. As usual m8 best walkthrough on UA-cam see u in part 4.. Oh yeah I got a abandoned mine north from the ship. Say hi to pee wee for me too Regards Jamie
I’m looking forward to the detailed video about space flight and battles. I have not bought the game due to concerns that my no-longer-a-spring-chicken reflexes won’t let me get past even the first few “easy”required battles. I see people slewing around trying to control their ships and it looks fairly awful, but after this video I think they are possibly over correcting with every move. Lead on, Major Slack!
Haha i love Vasco! I dont bring him as a follower, but he's on my crew. I named my character Jimmy and it's awesome because Vasco actually calls me "Captain Jimmy." I want to experiment with other names to see which ones he will say.
I got a mining location, a makeshift encampment and a cave all within 200 meters of each other with a lvl 10 terrormorph and 2 lvl14 Va'ruun zealots fighting outside the cave. The terrormorph killed the VZ's, took down Vasco and got stuck on the terrain when I was running away from it.
Unknown Location to the North, for me: "Experimental Weapon Range". Had 4 dudes shooting at a Lvl 5 Terrormorph. They only had it down to about 80% health before being wiped out. I tried to sneak in to grap the gear, but Vasco alerted it. I had to jump on the roof and use the cutter... It still almost got me before I could get on the roof. Got some good loot in the end.
I'd gotten a ship landing site - the Cap asked for water, I had the choice to leave, give water, or sell water for 3000 creds! Mr fumble fingers clicked the wrong button and I gave the water away.
Hey 514cK not sure if you're aware, just killing creatures counts as scanning them, so distance kills are an option on dangerous hunting species with only low scanning range available early game. The locations on planets are randomely generated when entering the atmosphere. I always do a hard save onboard ship before fast travelling /landing, saves the embarassment of getting creamed by high level Spacer/Crimson Fleet and loop reloads when entering orbit to scan the planet. Awesome tips/gameplay from the master as usual though.
"locations on planets are randomely generated when entering the atmosphere..." Not according to my testing. I reloaded a hard save just before traveling to Kreet 5 times and I always got the Hillside Cave location. That's why I said in the commentary, I think it's decided sometime earlier than that. As for "kill scanning", two points: One, it is just way more satisfying actually scanning creatures to see your scan % progress as you go along and two, I'm almost positive I was able to scan dead creatures when I did a 100% survey of Nesoi (the Dream Home planet). It even became a strategy, kill first and then scan after. So I don't think 'kill scanning' applies to all creatures. But I'll have to do some further testing. I should add than in my first playthrough, the first thing I did was max out the Scan skill (Surveying?) so scanning at a distance wasn't an issue.
"Harvesting also counts as scanning, so if you're going to harvest a plant you don't have to scan it first..." Let's get something straight here. When you approach a plant with the scanner off, yes harvesting it will advance your scan progress but you get no notification of that scan progress advancing. You can also scan it much further away than you can harvest it. If you approach a plant with the scanner _on_ there is no 'Harvest' prompt. You only get the 'Scan' prompt.
with random generation for locations is true for custom landing spots. Pregenerated landingspots like kreet research lab or new atlantis are set before first game save before character creation. you can reload your first gamesave, create another character and you will get same maps on pregenerated landing spots. Only way to change that is to start new game and play intro with collecting artifact again@@MajorSlackAttack
Civilian outpost with a level 10 terramorph. I died several times but I took it down eventually using the black ops zombie method of running around obstacles in circles. Had to stay close enough cuz they have a screech that will hit you regardless if you hide behind something and are too far. I used the cutter to not waste ammo on the very hard setting bullet sponge level 10 terramorph and took it down. Felt good
Hi Slack, I got a ship landing site. A ship just sitting there and when I went it it said kill all or leave...love your work really glad your do a W/T....cheers
@@MajorSlackAttack There was a Arc Might construction worker outside a small hab next to the radio mast. Non hostile. No turrets. He asked me to help with getting rid of some pirates! Sounds like it's the bunch we are after. I've said I'll kick their ass! Looking forward to doing just that after your next video drops 😊
Oh. Just went in the hab. There's a crew of them including a 'provisioner' to sell stuff to?! Seems I got real lucky. There are no turrets just the one construction guy wandering outside. There is a Robot Model A with him.
@@MajorSlackAttack He had food, meds, some workman's apparel, mining survey notes for various minerals (6 iirc), couple of basic backpacks, a cutter tool, and quite the selection of manufactured components (frames, manifolds, rheostat etc) and metals (mostly iron, aluminium, nickel but he had a few neodymium, uranium, iridium etc) No ammo or weapons other than the cutter. Oh and there was another worker actually at the radio mast itself which was just on the hilltop next to the hab. Great tip to wait till night time 👍 Really helped thank you.
Hey Slack! I’m loving everything so far, I got a question though. What is your difficulty set to? I assume very hard, but I don’t think you have addressed that yet. Thanks for all you do Slack!
I'm playing on Normal. I always do the first walkthrough of a video game on Normal. The only time I started higher than Normal (for Outer Worlds), a lot of viewers complained.
"do the voice"? "voice changer software"? PeeWee is real - REAL, I says. He, like, uh, sends comments via voice files. Yeah, that's it. Or something. ;)
Directly north of the ship was a "Deserted Biotics Lab". There were other locations too, one was an industrial outpost with a Terrormorf that was killing spacers. I had to go back and try to find Kreet, that wasn't easy. And thanks, I didn't even realize that there was another scan button, I've been killing animals to scan them, and harvesting plants to scan them. (If you harvest a plant, while the scanner is on, It is automatically scanned)
"If you harvest a plant, while the scanner is on, It is automatically scanned..." I don't know how that is even possible. If you have the scanner on, when you approach a plant that can advance your scan progress, you get the 'Scan' prompt, not the 'Harvest' prompt.
You have to be right on top of it. It is easier to harvest and then turn on the scanner. Like I said, I didn't notice the scan button. I thought that this was the only way. If you kill the animals then turn on the scanner, they are automatically scanned, or if you kill them while the scanner is on they are automatically scanned. I am obviously an idiot, but that's the way I've been doing it. Lvl 21. @@MajorSlackAttack

Back at it again with Peewee and the Staff Sergeant!
The location north of my ship in my game was an abandoned hangar. Lots of level 2 pirates.
Slack's characters are always great. XD
I got the civilian outpost. Great walkthrough Slack! I found the scanning information really informative!
Oh boy! This is gonna be good... 🙂
I really appreciate your detailed walkthrough!!
Hey Slack, just started my playthrough and directly north of the Frontier is an abandoned cryo lab.
My undiscovered location just north of the landing site was a parked ecliptic ship. I gunned everyone down and high jacked my first spaceship 😁
Awesome! Lucky you!

The location I found was Abandoned Deimos Scrapyard
Loving the walkthrough!!
Excellent. Thanks. Any enemies? Turrets? And do you recall what level they were?
They were level 8 Spacers no Turrets but rough count about 20-25 of them outside
Wow. What a fight!

Directly north of the landing, I got a parked spaceship full of civilians. Left it there. Didn't see any point in taking the ship at this stage.😁

Peewee just got put in. His. PLACE! Mr. Bigdick is the MVP here I think! :D
Loving this Slack! Keep 'em coming! SOOO wish I could play this!
The terrormorph that everyone meets to the north is the one they talk about in the Kreet base. It escaped from the base and headed north.
