I manage a few multi-lingual sites. I used Polylang on a couple of them (and rejected using WPML) before I found TranslatePress. TranslatePress makes it soooo easy. All of the sites I've used TranslatePress on were built with Elementor.

The Google Translate paid version is a completely different beast which is very accurate according to professional translators. It's cheaper and more thorough including extras you mentioned. It's also easier to use than both options presented here. I use it with elementor and it offers front end editing bypassing elementor and of argue much much simpler for non developers to use.
It is very time consuming to do the translation via TranslatePress. Plus it is very laborious job to set it up and integrate with DeepL. And, by the way, DeepL has a very limited amount of languages available. So, it is a poor choice going long term. The best bet is ConveyThis. This aggressive startup is growing quickly and has all of the features that TranslatePress plus more. Give it a try.

Hi, great tutorial indeed! Unfortunately I have a problem... I'm using WP in Spain and my site's default language is Italian. So I need a translation into English from Italian. The point is that the default language is Spanish and it's seems impossible to swith to Italian without getting the PRO version (which isn't free). Do you know how to bypass this problem? Thks!
Can you override the language switcher language names? For example, instead of having the switcher options "English / French" can it be set to "English / Français"? A unilingual French speaker arriving at the English page may not recognize that "French" is the link to click on for their language. This is how Canadian government websites are set up.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. please let me know what should I do, Thanks again.
My site defuault language is English, how ever I live in a french province in Canada called Quebec. The keyword receives more monthly search volume in french. I am in the process of translating the site using your method and so far I love it. Really easy way to do this. Now my question is doing it this way, will the keyword im targeting in french be seen by google robots? Would my site be able to rank for the french version of the english keyword? thank you in advance
Thank you for this Adam. How can you change the font or images (for example) in the translated version of a page? The translated page is not listed in the page list and I can't find a way to edit it. For example, only certain fonts won't well for readability in Arabic and that is what I am trying to change but can't figure out how to do any editing on the translated page. If you can't recognize the word "French" from "Francais" , you shouldn't be on the internet searching for stuff...

You can do most things with custom css, I am sure you can do that.
How to fix the menu anchor? It will have added address so it wont direct there anymore.

What about changing dimentio.
For example: From English to Arabic and changing from ltr to rtl?
Will this work with popups made with Popups for Divi? Thank you. Do you like this better than Polylang?
