    You did not connect a resistor the LEDs will soon burn out

      No dear .. 4 leds their will survive with 12v as each led connect with 3v ..

      A standard green LED has a voltage drop of around 2V. 2V*4 LEDs equal 8v voltage drop. Running all 4 LEDs in series on 12V can shorten it's lifespan or may burn out because the current is too high. Use a resistor if you want to run these LEDs on 12v or add more LEDs to further increase the voltage drop.
