Bro needs to look into traditional wire wrapping techniques. They make wire wrap tools which are easier for deadbug designs like this compared to even using magnet wire and soldering.

There is a limit to the current draw you can pull through a CMOS IC like the 4017. If you want to use more LEDs I would suggest hanging transistors off the 4017 output pins (into the base pin of the transistor) and then hanging the LEDs off the emitter pins of the transistors, with the collector pins connected to the positive rail.

No they do not contact. That’s the type of wire in the earpiece. Apply flux or fire to the ends you want to connect.
