I can’t explain how badly I want an Exige. The first time I ever saw one was in Forza Motorsport 4 when I was 9 or 10, ever since then I’ve loved the brand. Too bad America has the stupid 25 year import law. Loved the video, as well as the car! Everytime I see a review on one it reminds that if I work hard enough, I will be able to accomplish my #1 dream in life. You just earned another follower!

Don’t get too excited...this is a car that in its essence it is more than 20 years old. Past its time. Long ago. Hopefully on the next one Lotus will engineer out all its famous understeer... By no means I want to stop you from buying one: just go and buy one if you liked it: this is a species extinct, buy one whilst you can. they will never make them like this ever again. And they are exotic, gorgeous and keep their value very well. Just don’t expect it to beat a Cayman GT4 in any way cause it won’t.
Well said! The Lotus is a car in its own element, certainly not perfect but meant for those looking for a slightly more unique experience from a road car.
It beats Cayman GT4 in all the areas that matter for more exciting drive :P
Also, most road cars are setup for understeer which is cured by trail braking... If you don't want it to understeer, you set it up for track use(more negative camber at the front, proper hot tyre pressure, etc..)and learn trail braking. I only get understeer in mine on cold, slippery roads...
Also, with its 20 year old "understeering" chassis and slight upgrade in power and suspension, a road going Exige is as fast as McLaren P1, Porsche 918 on Spa - watch?v=qq0-sdTHibU and it was for sale for 70k euro.
