Hi everyone, thank you all taking your time to watch my content. Cherokee NC is the spot to be for trout fishing, especially during tournament days. Thank you all for tagging along. Hope you guys enjoy this video... and as always, we truly appreciate a like, comment, or subscribe!!!
Hey! Ive been watching your videos to try and get some tips before the September tournament. Do you have any recommendations on where to start other than the island park? Thanks
Hi Matthew, thanks for watching. You can try at the casino, upstream from the casino near the RV park, downstream from the ponds at the bridge with the dumpster, and wolf campgrounds area. I have caught tags in all of these spots before.
@@anglingbros9653 Thank You so much for the tips! Which of these locations would you choose as your starting spot? Im just trying to plan out a useful day, so that if one spot is slow or over fished, I can quickly move to the next one
You seem to have alot of skill as an angler and I feel like you can still take another step forward by simply upgrading your combo. I noticed twice you thought you lost fish that you still had only because of a poor Shakespeare drag system. Grabbing a Shimano or Diawa right around $100 is perfect and I highly recommend st. Croix rods. I hesitated to upgrade for 20 yrs but now that I have I couldn't imagine going back to my old Shakespeare
Man thanks so much for the advice. Ahahah actually, since the videos, I have upgraded ahaha. You are absolutely correct. Better hookups and catches dor sure.
@@anglingbros9653 I expected to see people elbow to elbow..in August we do better in Gatlinburg but we always stop in Cherokee before we head back to south Carolina.
My dad is the boss of the fish hatchery that the tag fish come from, and it takes so long to tag the fish and there are hundreds to thousands of them to do.
Wow caven, that is great to know. The hatcheries have been doing a great job with stocking. I always catch fish when I come up there. Please let him know that there are doing great.

I thought it was a tournament? Where's everyone at? We usually go up in August before school comes back in .
Hey brother, it was... people are fishing everywhere, just not at this spot. We got lucky. Good luck in August, it's a good time to go.

@@vittoriovuocolo2438 yeah, it really depends on the tournament. Some are more crowded than others. Gatlinburg is nice also.
