Liived in a converted Greyhound coach for nearly 10 years....would go back to it in a flash if my circumstances were a little (well a lot). Loved it, I hope you will learn to love it
Hey brother just a shout out from the coast of Mississippi. I have thoroughly enjoyed the progress with your motorhome. You are unbelievable! So talented smart and always funny no matter how bad things may look you have such a great attitude. A real “mans man”l I wish you all the best. You deserve it love you brother!
Awesome video. My wife thinks you are the Bob Ross of UA-cam. She says you sound like him and you make people believe they can "paint a beautiful landscape" keep it up fella.
That's Zip Dee awning. They come on the most expensive coaches. Still in business and parts available. Love the Barth. Can't beat the $$! Hope you keep it.
I’m loving the progress on the old RV. My opinion is, get everything working as well as it can and when it comes to fixing up the inside, the only opinion that counts is your wife’s. Make/keep her happy and all is well! 👍
Bro, you must have honoured God in some special way, in order for Him to drop such a unique blessing your way. Be mightily blessed. I meant to add, Lots of love to you and your dear family, from my wife and I IN IRELAND.
I just love these barth renovation videos of yours. Nostalgia is creeping up on me watching you fix it up. I know the carpeting needs to come out, but the original fixtures makes me feel so relaxed and comfortable.
Really enjoyed following the Barth progress. Other than pulling rugs, she is ready for family adventures. Mrs. Lind is a good sport and very smart for starting the trip with a crock of cooked meat. Nothing worse than having to cook after setting up camp. Enjoy!
What is one persons junk , is another persons treasure . And you have certainly made this camper your treasure . Thankyou for a great compiled series on your restoration. Much enjoyed . And one day I would love to visit your beautiful country . Btw , I live on a small island off the coast of southern England . I keep a watchful eye on your future vids . 😊
what a delightful day at the lake! it's weird from Denver, sorry about that whole sewage from Denver thing for your lake. with so many new motorhomes beset with quality problems, how wonderful it is to see an old rig still doing very well
If you're going to use it, update it to suit your needs and tastes. We put hardwood floors in ours, which are a lot easier to keep clean. And our original tiny fridge had a pleather studded door. We replaced it with a larger, new fridge. We also removed the booth dining to put in a breakfast bar which gave us a lot more storage and counter space
Love the Barth what an amazing bit of Kit. I'm rigging out a camper myself, a lot smaller than the barth its a former British Army Ambulance based on a Landrover 101 Forward Control. Started Life in 1977 as a Royal Artillery Gun Tractor for a 109 mm Field gun then in 1983 was converted to an Ambulance for the Royal Artillery Comando Regiment. Now it's in retirement as an adventure camper. Keep up the great vlogs they are great entertainment.
There are few things more magical than a time machine. And that is one. What a beautiful thing. Everyone who sees it is going to love it. Even if they are following you! Lucky man (Montrose).
What a great find! I agree it's a keeper. Some motor work, carpeting and other odds and ends, it will keep you going to the lake for years. Maybe fix the clock.....
Dustin, you are a keeper, you have done an awesome job on the Motor Home, and even if your wife is not 100% convinced, dude please know you have done a great job.
I enjoyed this, it 's nice to see you enjoying all the effort you put into the Barth. I will enjoy watching you finish it up and use it some more. Thanks for sharing.
What a great bargain beautiful machine. Can’t beat the outdoor life when it’s leisure time give me a mobile home of any description rather than a hotel room somewhere. Great video thank you enjoyed every minute.😊👍🇬🇧
I can not believe you got that for $600 what a bargain ive always wanted one but here in England it would cost you a arm and a leg for the petrol. You have done a really good job on getting it running and you have all the time in the world to do more to it. Well done keep that baby going for a few more years
Been looking forward to this one and glad you all had a great time. Our 94 Southwind has been sat for 2 years due to the covid malarkey but we're currently dusting the cobwebs off and will be heading down to the south coast of the UK for 10 days in August......Hoping for some sunshine as it's typically wet and miserable over here at the moment. Keep the content on the old girl coming and fingers crossed, the Mrs will grow to love her as well.
A motorhome trick that worked for me. Had a 34 foot Bounder 454 with OD and trans didn't want to up shift. Something in trans sticking ?...Got a can of "Plus 2" (brand specific) carb cleaner. Shake well and spray down trans dip stick tube for 20 seconds. Worked great instantly shifted when it should and operated smoothly...
Manual adjust RV mirrors are actually pretty easy to find. Lots of parts houses have them. Yours are a bit unique for the era in that they look like they have signal indicators in them, but there should be some kind of retrofit you can find. Carpet in RVs, especially "working" RVs is a bad idea. My recommendation is to get rid of the carpet in everything except the bedroom. Put down some lightweight vinyl plank everyplace else, and that should clean the thing up real good.
My husband and I have really been enjoying your videos. We're also remodeling a vintage RV. We have a 1984 Nissan Huntsman. We experienced a lot of the same things on our remodeling journey and your humor has made us laugh and we can't wait to see more from you.
Great fixer upper. Did the same with a 2001 40’ American Dream. Took it to Alaska. It’s good to start with a quality coach. Great family fun and the kids love it. Like your videos.
You been watching VGG dude? I was enjoying the Channel for you, and your style, don't drift too far into Derek territory man. Rig is cool. Can't wait to see the rest of the content.
Love it, mate. This is the kind of thing I dig. Returning this barge to a semblance of its former glory, is awesome. It’s what I did for years with cars, VW Kombi campers and caravans (I think you call them Trailers...or Airstreams?) and always enjoyed it. Never managed to get my hands on something as grand as the “Barth”, so I’m loving this series. It’s 4.45am here, in Koonya, Tasmania, Australia ... I was asleep, woke up for nature’s call, and noted a notification. So now I’m watching this instalment. Hmmm... get a life, Robbo! Great work and thank you.
This video is new to me, but I just wanted to say that this RV is beautiful and came a long way from what it first was when you originally started working with it. Awesome video, by the way.
thats brilliant your first trip in the Barth.i wouldn't worry about cosmetics yet just the mechanicals on there and air con./fridge etc.nice you got away with family.
With ours it was like taking your cabin with you where ever you went. Like a second home on wheels that fills with wonderful fun, and adventures. Even the breakdowns were an adventure. The couch pulls out into a double bed. The chairs can be turned and the backs can drop down for a single. We sold our big one when the kids grew up. We did 100 or 200 mile trips mostly and 3 multiState cross country trips. The cost when you get rid of sleeping in a tent discomfort or motel costs plus having to buy your meals made instead of making them in the rv kitchen It was well worth the costs. When traveling the kids would read or watch a movie. My wife would read, nap in the back.
Sometimes I wonder about YT algorithms , but since I ended up here a few weeks ago , really do appreciate the recommendation , and certainly the ongoing series ! keep up the pleasant and satisfying project Sir
You certainly got a bargain with that thing. I seen what you went through to finally get it home but I'd say it was worth it for what you ended up with. I'm very jealous, thanks for the content, can't wait to see what you improve further.
Glad to see you got it out with the family. That's what it was built for. Also lol. glad you wife agreed to sleep in it. That might have been the real test, as she did mention you did a good job cleaning it. I took that as a rave. 👍
Great to See The Maiden Voyage Went Well, I’m Am The Type Of Fella That Would Leave The Rig All Original Within Reason. You Can’t Fix What Ain’t Broke. Always Look Forward To Catching Up On your Videos, Keep It Safe Out There
Brilliant video, so nice to see you enjoying your time after you've put so much time and effort into the Barth!! Can't wait to see more videos and what you do with it.
I would update it, after living in a RV trailer newer materials can be such an improvement along with LED etc, that 454 is a good motor be it low compression but you could rebuild or LS swap.

So awesome my friend. I'll take camping that way all the time. I wonder how it would do when the cold weather hits. Put tile down forget the carpet. A nice wood grain would look great.
Congratulations mate, all your hard work is paying off. This is what comes from hard work and dedication 👍👍 Hope you and your family had a great time..
Judging by the comments on these videos there are a fair few Europeans (me included) who would love to come and hire this from you for some vacations, once travel restrictions ease up. Thanks for filming your camping trip!
Looks like you had a great time with the Barth! Thanks for the rebuild videos - it's been interesting to watch this giant motorhome. It wouldn't fit on UK roads!
I like the title- "made" 😆 my family go camping. You're blessed with a calm demeanor and great sense of humor👍🏽
Liived in a converted Greyhound coach for nearly 10 years....would go back to it in a flash if my circumstances were a little (well a lot). Loved it, I hope you will learn to love it

So talented smart and always funny no matter how bad things may look you have such a great attitude. A real “mans man”l I wish you all the best. You deserve it love you brother!
Thanks Bill, I really appreciate that!
The moment I saw the roast being brought on board, I thought to myself "these are my kind of people" 😂👏🏽👏🏽👍🏼
Thanks!
wow thanks Steve! really appreciate that!
Awesome video. My wife thinks you are the Bob Ross of UA-cam. She says you sound like him and you make people believe they can "paint a beautiful landscape" keep it up fella.
tell her thanks haha!
Nothing beat a good camping trip with the family. So happy for you guys. Awesome 👌
thanks!
That's Zip Dee awning. They come on the most expensive coaches. Still in business and parts available. Love the Barth. Can't beat the $$! Hope you keep it.
Sure is! it works great too!
Amazing buying a fire 🔥 damaged mirror an seat belt for 600$ . You’re the man. Colin
I’m loving the progress on the old RV. My opinion is, get everything working as well as it can and when it comes to fixing up the inside, the only opinion that counts is your wife’s. Make/keep her happy and all is well!
👍
That, or a good couch....
Lol, happy wife, happy life...😆😂
facts!
That right mate it sure counts.
Happy wife etc, especially in the motor home.
That's awesome seeing you bring the Barth Motorhome back to life again and using it for what it was made for. Cant wait to see your next video of it
Really enjoyed following the Barth progress. Other than pulling rugs, she is ready for family adventures. Mrs. Lind is a good sport and very smart for starting the trip with a crock of cooked meat. Nothing worse than having to cook after setting up camp. Enjoy!
she's a smart cookie! and thanks
Cheers from Florida Nigel. 🌴😎🌴
thanks for that comment! I think a small island sounds lovely! Cheers!
That would be the IOW then! Which is the same size as the Barth itself. 😁
I would for sure keep it!! Very nice!
It’s was a long journey to get that RV home and running decent, but taking it out with your family is priceless. God Bless
It is so nice to see you and your family living it up in the RV.
what a delightful day at the lake! it's weird from Denver, sorry about that whole sewage from Denver thing for your lake.
with so many new motorhomes beset with quality problems, how wonderful it is to see an old rig still doing very well
haha the south plat has many surprises...
Great idea!
Thanks for inviting us along on your trip!!
Great video. Thank you for sharing the trip with us. Still loving that RV.
Us too! and thanks for watching!
Thank for taking us along.

I love the motor home. I’m start looking myself. Never seen one in such good shape go down cheap
I am so jealous out with the family camping doesn't get any better than that. I need to start living again ! YOU ARE A LUCKY MAN!

Can't beat it for what it is.
I enjoyed this, it 's nice to see you enjoying all the effort you put into the Barth. I will enjoy watching you finish it up and use it some more.

Hardwood floors. Reupholster the furniture. Then paint the outside. Very nice camper. You got a great deal.
That's the plan!
Excellent adventure with you and the family. Your better half is a wonderful companion with a great sense of humor!
Facts! she sure is!
Brilliant! I ended up following this story back-to-back and it was better than what my Wife was watching on the TV!! Great story. Thanks for that...
What a great bargain beautiful machine. Can’t beat the outdoor life when it’s leisure time give me a mobile home of any description rather than a hotel room somewhere. Great video thank you enjoyed every minute.😊👍🇬🇧

What a beautiful place that lake.
Congrats 🍾
Kudos for bringing the Lady B back to life . The inside things can change with time , memories are being made . Shining 🌟 your Diamond .
Can’t wait to see the next one. Thanks for taking us along on the journey take care
I’m surprised you didn’t find more things wrong with the RV. I enjoyed watching your videos. Keep them coming.
it's much nicer than i could have ever thought1
It’ll be interesting to see what kind of gas mileage you can eke out with the EFI and modern ignition system.
Gas mileage and motorhome is a oxymoron. LOL
I'm betting 6 or 7

Love it man this is the most interesting series on UA-cam rn thank you sir for the content
Glad you like them! and I really appreciate that comment!

That RV is amazing for its age, they just don't make them like they used to, as they say!
Love the series watched it all one night

Great fixer upper. Did the same with a 2001 40’ American Dream. Took it to Alaska. It’s good to start with a quality coach. Great family fun and the kids love it. Like your videos.

Amazing! Watching this with my son
Happy to hear that!
This video is new to me, but I just wanted to say that this RV is beautiful and came a long way from what it first was when you originally started working with it. Awesome video, by the way.
Big windows on that Barth. Like what you might get in a Prevost bus now. Very nice.
I like the light, but it hurts the heating and cooling
thats brilliant your first trip in the Barth.i wouldn't worry about cosmetics yet just the mechanicals on there and air con./fridge etc.nice you got away with family.

I'd say this first venture was very successful. And the Barth can't be beat for the price.
As a retired firefighter, a fellow dad, and a grandfather (aka "Pops"...) THANK YOU for having the family ride in the vehicle with seat belts!!!
As a newly retired Fire/Medic I agree...👍 Safety first.
thanks! some people gave me guff about not letting them ride in it...
Wel done, good to hear you and family enjoy the time at the lake, i hope your wife is also very happy with the Motorhome, greetings the Netherlands.
she does approve
You certainly got a bargain with that thing. I seen what you went through to finally get it home but I'd say it was worth it for what you ended up with. I'm very jealous, thanks for the content, can't wait to see what you improve further.
more eto come, plus i will be doing the bluebird bus soon!
Do an entire video of working on the engine. That's the heart of the machines
Nice maiden voyage! Can't wait to see how it runs with the efi system, I'm betting you get a big improvement in miles per gallon. Great work!
I hope so too!
Glad to see you got it out with the family. That's what it was built for.
Also lol. glad you wife agreed to sleep in it. That might have been the real test, as she did mention you did a good job cleaning it. I took that as a rave. 👍
haha she's not to picky but i did clean it up pretty nice!
Very nice Motor home, I enjoy your videos so much and all the efforts you put in to this project.
thank you so much!
Yay Mom! You know whoever owned it when it was new took care of it. Possibly an older well off couple. You really scored!
yeah they really loved it until about 2008, must have been sold then
The Barth is a champ.. no use since 08 and a quick clean and back into heavy duty camping.. I think it deserves new carpet.. where can I find one.
Sign up for copart auctions and start searching JT
yup!
That Lifedoo box had me laughing for quite a while. "It's heavy as SHIT"
Felt relaxed even watchin! Thanks!~
thats awesome! thanks
Happy it went well for you brother.
just a few more finishing touches!
Love the Barth. If Mrs vetoes it please deliver it to Michigan.
Park it in my yard...
haha okay, i think she likes it now
That's Jackson reservoir. I knew it. Nice. I love going up there to relax.
flatlanders special!
Thanks for sharing your break! Glad the wife is nearly happy, thats a big achievement....looking forward to future installments.
Great what you did with the m/home you should keep it and enjoy, wish I had a quarter of your talent to be able to restore a vehicle👍
thanks I appreciate that!
wow that old girl just keeps giving fun fun
Great to See The Maiden Voyage Went Well, I’m Am The Type Of Fella That Would Leave The Rig All Original Within Reason. You Can’t Fix What Ain’t Broke. Always Look Forward To Catching Up On your Videos, Keep It Safe Out There
Thanks 👍
Love that shirt, full dad mode engaged!
Brilliant video, so nice to see you enjoying your time after you've put so much time and effort into the Barth!! Can't wait to see more videos and what you do with it.
Thanks a ton!
I enjoyed seeing this. I almost bought an big older one a few years ago. Thank you. Be well.
I would update it, after living in a RV trailer newer materials can be such an improvement along with LED etc, that 454 is a good motor be it low compression but you could rebuild or LS swap.
birdseye paneling would be gorgeous
I have an '89 HMC $130K new with a lot of similarities including the in-depth and massive collection of receipts. The ocean air has degraded some things like jack/ step functionality, rusty bumpers and some other stuff but it's clean, the solar panels and batteries are are good, brand new mattress, built in vac and blender. Your video has helped motivate me! thx
So awesome my friend. I'll take camping that way all the time. I wonder how it would do when the cold weather hits. Put tile down forget the carpet. A nice wood grain would look great.
carpet has to go, i want something to sweep out the door haha
Nice family God is good to you! God bless you
Awesome video, time off ended way to soon but all vacations do. Barth Motor home was a great buy.
Congratulations mate, all your hard work is paying off. This is what comes from hard work and dedication 👍👍
Hope you and your family had a great time..
it was great thanks!
Looking good!
Thank you! Cheers!
Judging by the comments on these videos there are a fair few Europeans (me included) who would love to come and hire this from you for some vacations, once travel restrictions ease up.
Thanks for filming your camping trip!
That does seem to be the case, or maybe Y'all just comment more than us lol
Thank you for sharing Nice work on the motor home. If you were close by I would fix that nice clock for you. Take care!
hahah thanks, i get a lot of comment about the clock
Looks like you had a great time with the Barth! Thanks for the rebuild videos - it's been interesting to watch this giant motorhome. It wouldn't fit on UK roads!
Wow what a good buy , home from home 👍❤️🇬🇧
Yes it was!
