I saw on VGG, that sometimes the electric pumps supply a bit too much fuel pressure. If you are over about 3 or 4 PSI, then it may push past the needle and seat, and use lots and lots of fuel. If so... you could run a fuel pressure regulator to get the fuel pressure in the correct range. Also, I'd keep an eye on the Gas-in the fuel situation. Getting 3 mpg... there is a good chance a lot of fuel is running past the rings, and thinning down your oil. Just a couple thoughts from an Old guy, who used to work on cars. Great video.
I drove by a store the other day and saw a familiar shaped RV....got closer and it was a short Barth! That styling is so distinctive, and I would’ve never given it a second thought if not for your series.
I think that motorhome is just awesome and what a great save. I don't think I would toe that tiny house too far maybe where you live you don't have Bridges but that thing looks like it's sticks quite a few feet over the top of that RV. Maybe a short little Bunk house to pull around behind it would possibly suit the family. I have a feeling that RV is going to be hard to replace. Then again a guy did pretty good getting it for a song and fixing it up. Keep up the great content!
Honestly I'll be sad to not see the barth, but if you put some work into the diesel that will satisfy my watching. It's funny you mention the non-family setup. My 77 champion was setup for a mess of kids, I had to rebuild it as a two person setup for me & the mrs. Granted the cough folds out for a guest, but honestly if the if the grandkids want to camp with us we have a nice pop-up that we can tow with the champion.
Let me know if you ever decide to part with that. I ain't making any promises - as I am a Disabled Veteran on a fixed income AND I live a thousand or so miles from you on the East Coast. But, yeah - I'm glad you make these great videos. Kinda inspire me after a really crazy last couple of years.
What a challenge for a Top Gear show! Race an old Motor home towing a tiny home or a camper behind through a farmers field on a race track. They love things like this, just faster :-)
For your mice - I've added a 12v sonic thingamabob in all of my campers and vehicles that are stored. There's also a 120v in each unit plugged into a maintainer or shore power for the campers. My mouse problem IN the vehicles/campers has decreased about 99.96%
Lol spotted the Copart sticker on the bus - I work for Copart here in the UK 🤣 loving the race track. And yes watching a house… pull a house lol. Great video my friend
Your videos sometime seem to have the potential to lurch from disaster to disaster, but your (mis)adventures make me laugh so much that you brighten my day. I’m laughing with you though - not at you. Keep doing what your doing. It’s very entertaining. Thank you.
The Barth again come to the rescue I wish I stepped in something like that what a wonderful motorhome and one of the best engine Chevy ever made besides a 350
Or you could find a cheap small Airstream or fifth wheel and tow it behind the Barth and have another bedroom or bunkroom for the kids. Excellent video.
Hey Man, watched all the videos of the Barth Motorhome today. Unreal mate! What a bargain. Absolutely incredible what you have achieved. Loving it. Giddy from Queensland, Australia.
To bad your're selling it. I'd like to see you swap an overdrive transmission into it, would probably double your fuel mileage. Figure that the build quality on that coach is likely better than most of the new ones being built today.
PLEASE do a video on the jumper pack when you customize it! I have the GP4000, and its amazing; the timer doesn't bother me too much, but the side button is very annoying!
Your sarcasm makes me laugh so much!!!! The mise hahah ' if you haven't got mice you should get some there fantastic' your spot on pal. Love your videos good luck tomorrow 🤞. Bill. UK.
Also would you be interested in shipping that to the UK if someone was to buy it when it is up for sale? Thanks. Great content as usual looking forward to more 👍. Bill.
EFI and a turbo will drastically improve the resale value of the Barth*, get a small caravan for the kids :P (*Probably not but dually bus burnouts would make for quality content)
Regarding mice and old equipment. In the olden days they didn't use soy based coating for electrical wiring, so you were in luck. Mice like the newer wires using soy based electrical coating.
I am fairly sure that the those small booster boxes are only capable of providing high current for a very short period of time, which is why it is designed to time out like that. Frustrating I know, but not as frustrating as seeing your boost current dissolve before your eyes and before you manage to start your engine.
May I ask your background? You have the resourcefulness of a farmer, the mechanical skills of a racer, but the attitude and insanity of a military man!
Not sure if you did but I would suggest maybe reading the directions it just didn’t seem like you knew quite what to do so maybe that’s an issue knowing exactly what to do, just saying I don’t know the company or the product but directions usually help lol
Maybe I missed it or you didn’t record it but there is an actual power button on your jumper box. I have one (different brand) but they are all made by the same company. Mine starts our old diesel Cummins with no issue whatsoever. Maybe read the instructions?
If you can get $8000 for the Barth 'as-is' you should take it. Can't seeing you getting above $12K even if you overall the interior (e.g. flooring) to include electrical upgrades. Keep it up bud..love your channel!
So now that you know the Barth can tow a trailer, no need to sell her. Just get yourself a camper trailer and the kids can stay in there when you venture out on vacation...
Hi Dustin sorry to hear your selling the barth ,you have done wonders to it since bringing it home, how are you going with pickle Rick is she finnished yet ,lastly sorry to hear your losing your hair but dont worry you have a cheap way of curing that problem as you are very good with what you do ,you seem to be able to turn your hand to any thing why not shave your beard off you gave plenty of hair there to make a wig or toupee lol.ps youd look a lot younger than you are now.
I could definitely use a man cave too. We are renovating a two floor apartment in the middle of Copenhagen (Denmark) while living in it for the second year and everywhere else to chill for a moment or two would be incredible. 😀
I love that the bus has its own waterfall on its side after towing the tiny house :-)
added option, very expensive lol
I figured the hot water tank vent was left open lol.
I was like, is he peeing?
Great shot under the rig! High production values here… Be well.

Wow. First time I saw this wagon I thought, 454? Under powered.
I was wrong. Safe travels.
That's something you don't see every day, thank you life of Lind, you made my day.
Glad you enjoyed it
@@LifeofLind I was impressed that you could get that whole train in the shot, it certainly filled the frame.
This is fast becoming one of my favorite UA-cam channels.

it's a great rig, just not built for 6 to sleep, and i don't want to ruin the inside by remodeling it to fit...
Nothing better then a 3500 lb morning workout & the barths taking a leak lol ! I enjoy the funny remarks too !
thanks!
Another cool video mate great to see you are getting sponceres think I spelt that wrong anyway thumbs up from Australia 👍🇦🇺
thanks! the last three years of work is paying off a little now a days!
Me: what an absolute MANSION on wheels!
Lind: Too small.
How perspectives change w/wo kids... 😂
it would be perfect for the wife and I haha just not at that age yet lol
Been enjoying all the videos with the Barth ...Hate to see it go when the day comes. You gave it life again.
almost got it all done, will hate to see it leave if i do sell it.
See a lot of gardening shows on TV where they add a water feature to the landscaping... LoL adds a water feature to a motor home.
pretty pricey upgrade for the barth... but well worth it haha

It and the cabin look like they were made for one another. And your production values as well, just stellar. Keep up the good work all around sir.
You are definitely the next great Spokesman!!
lol thanks, the extra pennies make building these projects a little easier
I know this video is from 9 months ago but I love the Barth I hope you guys keep it! No spoilers please 😆

my old shop has them plugged in to the wall all around the inside. only have had 1 or 2 since then. hopefully i can do the same with the new shop!
@@LifeofLind Peppermint oil will repel that last one.
YES! Another Barth video!! Lets gooo!!!! Thank you for the content Lind! Why was it spilling water everywhere tho 😂 is that normal?
i added a water fall feature hahaha
That waterfall action, really nice. Keep up the good work, good luck with getting everything setup all in one spot!

wish it was an older 454 without all the smog junk on it.

Great content, I have a 91’ safari motor home, it’s a lot like your Barth, I have been going back and watching the Barth videos.
Love the Barth. Cool wheels
I might skip UA-cam adds but I always watch the sponsorship adds to help any channel I can :)
You're the best!
Great work and thanks for sharing this with us take care

i'll just keep makin them! lol
Hey Man, watched all the videos of the Barth Motorhome today. Unreal mate! What a bargain. Absolutely incredible what you have achieved. Loving it. Giddy from Queensland, Australia.
That vacuum gauge might help you tune the carb for better mileage. I hear they sometimes get to 20 at idle when everything is dialed in just right.
I would SO love to have an older motor home like yours! Too bad the 💰 wouldn't allow it! 😪

shipping might cost more than the bus haha
@@LifeofLind maybe?? Do you know the weight and dimensions? I could always have a look and see? I would LOVE that motorhome!!!

Thank you! Will do! and our one cat does his job, but there are a lot around here haha

might work on a car, but it takes to long to get in the bus haha
You should work some sort of hydraulic jack for the tiny house, or maybe you like the exercise?
would be ideal. but that costs money haha
I can’t believe I missed this episode!!!!!

that would be a site to see rolling down the road !

it's an expensive upgrade!
Mothballs keep mice out. Throw bags in areas of your barth and bus. It will keep em out :)
The Barth was the Boss pulling the tiny house. I think if you sale the Barth , it will be the one that got away..
I will reiterate , get a solar battery tender as they work well with diesels.
Top video my brother lovin it

Does the dining set in the Barth not also convert into a bed?
Your water heater appears to be a makeshift waterfall. Just thought you should know in case you somehow missed it lol.
that's an added option, it costs extra
I love that Barth and would love to buy it but I live in California and I’m sure the gas alone getting it back here would exorbitant.
