@carlbernard4197 Yup they were abandoned so his keeping both drive trains both rear dually axles one had a generator both steering columns Using a couple of the windows for his hunting cabin he's building the rest is going to the dump interiors on both pretty much already gone or rotted completely

Definitely want to see that project. Warning it’s gonna be a one heck of a project . Restoring an old RV is on my list to do. I give you props though, I wouldn’t take on one that size. Mainly since I have no room for it. I’m gonna say number 779

The wife and I had a 89 Winnebago Chieftain, this one brings back a lot of memories. Treat those windshields like gold, they are impossible to find and crazy expensive when you do. Look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Things Will Come Together For You!!
You're a counterpart on sleeper, dude. Work on a Mini Winnebago and swapped out the engine in it. But also removed the exterior aluminum skin and resheated. All the plywood, and then he put steel bars in. Because the roof was routed out as well! Put all the original windows back in and read. Did the inside of it with brand new floors! I think this would be a great multi part project which will get you a ton of views!

I would love to see you restore this on the channel even if it's just filler videos to throw out in-between your regular content. Bonus opportunity for some extra money is always welcome. Great video and great score on this RV. Those windshields are gold and very expensive to replace so be careful around them. I'm sure it will be a fun experience for the little human and allows for some great core memories that she will remember many years from now.
Also probably to late for the number but my guess is 46 for the length of that RV.

So cool.. I used to work for a local Fleetwood dealer here back in the late 80's up until 89. I seen many of the Bounders.
I can't get over the amount of storage space in these things!
@garthsgraveyardgarage Ya I think I remember them Basement models for the storage under the floor. The key for the compartments should be CH751. I used to like the Bounders.

Next time put black pepper in the coolant system. For that size of a vehicle use a whole can. Works great and easy to flush out. I use it quite often and seals up pretty much any leak in the coolant system. Sealed up a leaking water pump for me on a 7.3 diesel for over 3 months.

The head of the instrument cluster usually lifts up on a hinge after taking out some screws. Then you have almost all access needed.

Great job getting it started and home it interesting. The number thing is probably over but I would have probably said 35. Have fun fixing it up. It will definitely be a challenge but it will look good and should look great when done. Hopefully you don't run into any major problems. Have a good time remodeling. See you in the next video.

My uncle ordered a Travco in 1975, arrived at Lynnwood Dodge (Seattle area) in '76. It went to Alaska & stayed up there until the early 2000's. It came down & got revamped.
I was given it in about 2015. It has gotten a LeCarra steering wheel, Bilstein shocks, poly swaybar bushings, Alcoa wheels...it's a really neat rig. Now sourcing everything to make it a 6bt with Allison OD trans. Best thing? Travcos are not "Stick & staple!"

As long as that roof didn't leak, you are golden. that outside wood is easy. Just seal it well when you put it back together and it will be better that the job they did new.
