    You have a good audience and live in s stellar area. You should do what Matt does from the smoking tire, and test people's bikes and make endless videos. Great way to build more of an audience, easy to make videos, more videos = more clicks.

    I've been waiting for this. That wheelie THO!!! Nice work Jamie! What are the service intervals? That's one of the most important things to me as a Ducatista.

    • @motogeo

      +CLUTCH1ST valve clearance is scheduled for every 30,000 km and changing the oil every 15,000 km or every 12 months

    • @ClutchFirst
      @ClutchFirst 8 років тому

      +MotoGeo 18k miles for valves belts etc and 9k miles for oil change. That's much better than before, but it's still a lot more frequent than other brands. I spend roughly $2,000 for my major service. It's not cheap in Manhattan. However, I love the brand and the perks it comes with. The amazing torque, that's special BRAAPPP sound, causing a scene at traffic stops and definitely a work of art.

  • @monomakes

    How do they measure a lean angle? Surely that depends on the rider.
    I certainly wouldn't chuck it out of bed though ;)

    • @motogeo
      @motogeo  8 років тому +2

      +mightlife It means, it is the first thing that touches the ground when leaning over, in this case, a 50 degrees the exhaust and foot controls touched.

    A Monster 1200S with 15 hp more forged rims and a supersport tail. That's it. And people speak as a new new bike. Monster 1200s 2014. Was allrteady there. Ridicolo

    • @Monster1000SR
      @Monster1000SR 8 років тому

      +ANTONIO TOSHA Man, I ride the S... but this Think is the next Step!
      More lean Angle (15mm higher), better Footpegs, Nice small Rearview! More Power...
      Waiting for End of April ;-) my S is for Sale now :-)

    • @antoniotosha2714
      @antoniotosha2714 8 років тому

      Lets say that is the next step ok I agree. But about what we are speaking? I am speaking about Ducati Monster not a superbike for the track. I mean if I have to buy a motorbike because I go often to the racetrack in that case dude there are at least 10 bikes much more high performace and less exspensive.

    • @antoniotosha2714
      @antoniotosha2714 8 років тому

      30 or 40 hp more yes. in that case I can say next step.

    • @Monster1000SR
      @Monster1000SR 8 років тому

      +ANTONIO TOSHA Realy , you think only more Power ist the next Step? ...Bullshit!
      This Bike is a Bike for Country-Roads and "some" Rounds on the Track.. for this the S has enough Power. But not enough Leanangle, trust me ;-)

    • @antoniotosha2714
      @antoniotosha2714 8 років тому +1

      Ok dude i try to explain better what i mean.I would like really to give the two versions in tha hand of someone like Rossi o Marquez and them a would like to ask them, i mean, how big is the gap o difference? For .sure there are but are minimal. You say i dont have to think a lot to the power. What i have to think about? The front fork in black? ( personally i like more gold). The rims? 600/700 gr less. The black handlebars? The supersport tail? ( personally i like much more the S version much more similar to the old Monster) Ok you speak about lean angle ok, First of all how much more is the lean angle, then try to go in the track or maybe just in a mountain pass with R version and if you find an Aprilia Tuono RR ( 3000 euro less) Or SuperDude 1290 R ( 3000e less) then let me know if you dont need more power and the lean angle is enough. This of course is the same out of the track. I make last esample to uderstand what i mean. The new change from the old Diavel and new one XDiavel S that is a chance and justifies the the reason to pass from the old one to the new one. Anyway if you had or you have the S version if you buy the R version then please let me know if we are speaking about a monster so different from the S version.

  • @Tuesdaysgonewtw

    Way too much money for that bike, surprised they can sell even one of them. You can get a better machine for less money from any number of competitors. And for the record I own a Ducati.

    Yet another test on a track. Wtf? Can you please get a grip and test the bike in conditions that 90% of people will use the bike for? Test the bike on a road and give people your opinion. Do a track review of course but the main content should be in road conditions and road surfaces.

      one of the biggest criticisms of the regular monster 1200 is that it doesn't measure up to the SuperDuke or other naked bikes on the track. The Monster 1200r is the track-oriented version of the Monster

    • @johnfragos7660
      @johnfragos7660 6 років тому

      No it is not. Gabriel is correct. The launch of the bike was at a racetrack and what we got from the "journalists" is how the bike behaves on the track ,which will probably be a 2% of its life, if any at all. A very sweet bike

    • @freidrichnietzsche6643
      @freidrichnietzsche6643 5 років тому

      yeah, your choices are the ktm sd-r or the Duc 1200r for big v-twins. Aside from that, you're buying 3+ cylinders with less "lump" and ... perhaps torque... All opinions valid, just sayin. Guys looking in this range, buy a big vtwin for torque and not revs.
