Highly recommend the Snake Pit restaurant in Enaville, Idaho (20 miles away). The smoked items are amazing. About $90 for 2 if you have a glass of wine.

The last stop light in the Inter-state Highway system was in Wallace. They also planned on putting it through the town, but they fought and now it hugs the walls above town.
Lived in hope,I'd and in Mt. I heard that Wallace still has the "house" where the ladies of the night worked. Believe from late 1800s and there are tours!
In the winter it looks like ash from a volcano fell onto the town (Referring to Dante's Peak cuz Wallace is the town that that Dante's Peak was fliled in
@jlr I remember a story in that area. Horrible story look up the Shasta drone story it was horrendous that case touch my heart like Gabby. In this case it touched my heart.
If U ever get back up to WALLACE, IDAHO, look at the "CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE" man hole cover at the intersection & try out the BBQ Trailer Sandwich near the Stardust Motel, the Haunted Theater & the Mine Tour ! Wallace is my most favorite small town in all of America. The Mayor is a TRIP ! He will take U on a walking tour if U ask him to & he wears a real kewl get-up outfit ! Notice the businesses are filled.

My Dad was the Fire chief for many years there. The Train Deport my Grandfather worked out of it.he died in the 1910 fire

At about 4:40 in the video you can see the Oasis on the left. That's the place. Finally got shut down in 1988.

Up until the Mid 1970s you had to drive through this town because the Interstate was not completed here.
Time to drive to Seattle and the freaky Fremont district!
