They just put 4 engines from Airbus 320 XD
Rey Han actually these engines are used on both 737 and A320 :)
FlyingSpartan Aren't they different? 737 uses cfm-7b 320 uses -5b if I am not wrong.
They sound the same but look different
@@Alias389 yes you’re correct. The A320 uses CFM56-5B and 737 uses CFM56-7B :)
@swizzels_sweets Loved Since1928 what’s that got anything to do with what I said
Nice one. Climbing pretty quickly for an A343 :P
Sounds like a 757
FanofFans47 Variety Channel ikr
FanofFans47 Variety Channel no it sounds like an a319 and a320
Yup
That’s what I thought 😂😂
angry beast
Wow, absolutely stunning video! I especially loved when you flew past those beautiful mountains!
Yeah, Cape Town is just beautiful! I hope you get the chance to visit! Glad you liked the video! Thanks for commenting!
Really love the sound of the A343. Sounds a lot like the a319, a320 and a321
Cuz it’s using the same engine which is CFM56
At the end of the video, you can witness that the plane starts to lose its takeoff sound once it gets to cruising altitude. With this you can prove that planes only make noise when taking off and not in the whole flight away. In other words, airplanes nowadays don’t have to be made silent
Engines have become much quieter these days!
They should have offered these CFMs on the A321.
+Julio Romeresto Yeah, that would have been cool!
Thumbs Up & a Big Like for the hairdryers Love the sound :D
+TheSolnabo Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the comment!
Sounds like music to my ears!
we do love those hairdryers when they spool up- great video! Thanks for sharing
+DAIRX Yeah, I've seen several of your A340 videos! Glad you liked the video! Thank you for your comment!
DAIRX Jo du auch hier ^^
Kenn wir uns?
DAIRX Ich verfolge deinen Kanal seit er existiert ^^ bin ein großer Fan
I've watched this video several times. My words just won't do it justice. The scenery is beautiful. The engine sound with that throttle up is the icing on the cake.
Thank you Mah58jr for this stunning video.
Walter
No worries! I hope you get the opportunity to travel to Cape Town some day! It's gorgeous!
I love that CFM56-5C engine sound. The a340 is a sexy piece of aluminum.
Wrrrreeeeewwweeeerrreeee sound buzzsaw
Great video.☺️
4 hairdryers on the A340 vs 2 large beasts on the 777
I love the sound that is 30 or 40 seconds after take off, I always want to sleep when I hear that sound:) it's so soft and cool. It's like:rrrrrrrrrrrr roar rrrrrrrrrrrrrr roar rrrrrrrrrrrr roar rrrrrrrrrrrrrr :)
Glad you liked the sound so much! Thank you for all your comments!
You should also check out the RB211s on a Boeing 757. They sound very similar!!
love the video! those CFM's have the best engine sound of any airplane imo. i used to travel on Olympic Airlines A340-300. i was on one of the last flights from ATH-JFK, about 2 weeks before they closed. my favorite airplane!
They do have a great engine sound! I agree! I remember seeing Olympic Airlines at Heathrow!
***** two of their 340's are still sitting on the tarmac in Athens. i much rather would've liked to see an A340neo than the A380 which is also a great plane. thats just me though
0:19 Gotta love those CFM's :D
Sounds like the RB211s ona 757, don’t you think?
@@757Superfanjust with the pitch of the buzz, but the engines could be more comparable to the pw2000s on the 757s
hello my friend. which side of the airplane do u recommend sitting on when taking off from cape town international airport?
Great video!!! From Argentina.
Great sound!!!
Agreed, glad you liked it!
It sounds similar to the RB211s on a 757
Who noticed the "7531" written between the 2 engines on the wing?
You mean on the window glass? Yes.
What a soothing sound. Almost sounds like it is out of a sci-fi flick/game. It is deep and uniform, unlike other engine growls which are harsh and aggressive. Of course I like both, but boy this is a sound I could go to sleep to.
Yeah, it is a very smooth engine! Not a lot of fluctuation in sound! Reminds me of the PW2000 on the 757!
+Mah584jr HD Aviation ya the spooling cry sound is like the PW2000
I just love the sound on the A343! Awesome takeoff! Pretty fast too!;)
Yeah, the A340-300 is a classic sound! Glad you liked the video!
Which one is table mountain?
Great engine sound and fabulous view, loved it!
+Lee Ridenour Glad you liked it so much! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
Actually delivered 4th March 2005 but it soon spent some time with Jet Airways on lease
listen to that sound of this CFM56 :-) with a 3 stage power up :-)
You sound like you know your engines! Glad you liked the sound!
yes I`m a civil aviation intusiast .-) I love flying the 343 and the 346 :-) great aircraft
The smaller A340s that have an equivalent sized A330 almost seem pointless but then again I like them because of the engines. This video kind of sounds like a RB211.
Julio Romeresto
That's actually not correct ... the engine size on the A330 is much larger. These smaller CFM56 engines are only rated at about 31,000 to 34,000 lbs. of thrust. The Rolls Royce 700 on the A330 is rated at 71,100 lbs. of thrust. The big joke about the A340-300 model is that it was said to be powered by 4 hair dryers .... :)
Julio Romeresto Combine two A340-300 engines, and you get 68,000 lbs of thrust.
Combine one A330-300 engines, and you get 72,000 lbs of thrust.
Nice video. Love the "roar" of the engines!
cesarut Glad you enjoyed it! I like the engines too! Thank you for the comment!
Hi! My pleasure. Cheers
Amazing clip
it's not general electric, it's CFM international.
+Mahew Melton:
GE partially owns CFM
GE helps engineer the CFM international engine
Like Rolls Royce and PW do with the EA and IAE engines
UAL917 I did my research, I`m aware that GE engineers work with CFM international. Thanks for letting me know BTW :)
+Matthew Melton (Matt02541) No disrespect intended
Needs Trents
Stunning takeoff footage from CapeTown! Liked :-D
+Traveller Glad you enjoyed it so much! Thank you for the comment!
A pleasure! :-D
Really nice. Love that sound from the engines
Sound like a Boeing 757 RR Engines!
it's not general electric, it's CFM international.
+Mahew Melton Good call! Thanks!
Well cfmi is half GE
What a view at 6:12!
What camera do you use?
I do find it amazing that this huge jet would be used for such a short flight. No wonder it just wanted to soar after only a short takeoff roll...
Amount of passengers probably. Usually big planes fly far, but small planes don't have the capacity to transport as many passengers.
That is great! What do you think: the a340-300 engines have quite the same sound as the A320-21... Family ;) (a320-214/212...)
Yeah, they sound a lot like CFM engines on the A320 series aircraft! Glad you liked the video!
***** That's because they are CFM engines!
Stunning. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Your aviation videos are some of the best on the internet. Thank you for sharing and taking us with you vicariously on your travels.
Glad you enjoy the videos so much! I do my best to offer quality footage to my viewers! Thank you for taking the time to comment!
I love to whatch how the wings left on take off and it didn't even seem that you were going fast on take off
The larger the plane, the slower it feels when you take off!
A nice take-off indeed and what a beautiful view! Well done in videotaping this! :-)
+johnifly Glad you enjoyed it so much! It was a rare treat to film an A340-300 takeoff! Thanks for the comment!
Great take off! Fantastic vid. TY for sharing.
Thanks so much! I'm really glad you liked it! Thanks for your comment!
Very large aircraft for the route
UAL917 Yeah, that's why I had to book it!
Also beautiful CFM 56 5C buzz caw with 80 knots of takeoff power very powerful
Beautiful sound
0:16 makes me want to repeat.
+Monica Miyake (PenguinvilleRescue1) Watch it as much as you like!
beauty of jet power god bless
+CAPTAIN SYRIAN FORCE Indeed!
love it! :D
Glad you liked it so much!
I like it. :-)
Fernando Permana Glad you liked it so much! Thanks!
Nice clip
Thanks!
I can see my House from Here
:D
Nice! It must be a joy to live in such a beautiful area!
***** IT is. where about do you stay,
Even better when you get a chance to fly around it.
I stayed pretty close to the V & A waterfront!
***** AHH.
So you see a few choppers around that area.
Still think this is one of the best places to fly around.
