Even the calls where you save the life of someone, the amount of pain and stress of the thought that you got there only just in the nick of time sends shivers in your soul. Without going into too much detail, I was on a call with the Rescue Squad I serve in, we were on a SAR Operation looking forward a 13 year old girl who went missing. I had reached out to family members and others who I hardly spoke to because I was scared of what would happen if we couldn’t find the kid. Luckily we found them, but regardless it is those moments where you realize how fragile life is, and how it can be gone in an instant, and no matter how much you try to forget them, or push them down, they always come over you. Love to my brothers and sisters in Emergency Services.
i feel you, especially in the water/alpine sector you always need to be prepered for the worst, since you at best have one, maybe two days to find someone, i work in the water rescue sector in austria, and especially if a child is missing, you almost know for sure that the parents of that child will get the devestating message that their child is dead
We had a kid go up in flames after a wipeout. Rolled down hill and got pinned by his dirt bike to a tree. We werent in an area where air evac was possible due to the canopy. So we had to hike it out with this poor bastard strapped in and screaming the whole way. Our initial call was for someone else and we had just loaded them off and said goodbye to the ambo when this call came through. We figured already being there we'd be able to at least do some supportive care while a better stocked team came in. Since it takes time to mobilize and get there and depending on the situation time can be the difference between life and death. At the time I was just a two missing kids had not come home at the time they were supposed to. We had a route, they had supplies for a few days jic (yay, someone listens to the lectures). But yeah, polyester is a horrible fabric. I do fire rescue on the side during the annual torch the province season but often its extraction with mild injuries, not full blown immolation. The smell of cooked person is not one anyone forgets. Kids still alive as far as I know. But if the signs say don't do something, don't fucking do it! There's a reason for those signs. And every rule has been written in blood at some point.
My friend was a Emt and he lost his battle to breast cancer a few months ago and he meant a lot to me ! He was basically my 2nd Dad he was always there and listening to this made me think of him. I have a picture of him holding me when I was a few months old. And it still breaks my heart knowing that I’ll never be able to thank him for all the stuff that he did and how many lives he had saved
my dad is a firefighter and i cried when i saw this video, the picture at 4:04 and any other picture relates to me. i want to thank all the first responders on this planet that have made this world a better place
Hi Cole I saw your post I'd like to thank your dad for his service an also you for bravery it's never easy being a child of someone who does amazing things everyday
I want to be dispatcher when i grown in my country named "Slovakia Republic" and this video hit me hard, thank you all Emergency Services and First Responders, you are heroes of this society.
Never give up follow your dreams it's a bit challenging in the beginning but you will get used to it I believe if you want something bad enough you will work towards the things you want
Follow your dreams. I am an EMT, i have seen stuff that will turn your gut inside out, but I have wanted to do EMS my whole life, even though i see stuff. I am always comforted and happy in the fact that i got to make a difference in someone's life, Ease their suffering, Take their pain away, Give someone to talk too, Someone to just hold their hand smile and say You are going to be ok. It's gonna be rough but remember why you do this! I couldnt have asked for a better career
You can Never unsee what you see. 20 years now and i still remember my first wreck with multiple deaths . But i would change being on the VFD for anything.
Thank you for this video! As first responders we go through hell and see the unimaginable on every call. It is a feeling like no other when u save a life or lose one, especially when one of your own. God Bless ALL our first responders! - PA volunteer firefighter.
38 years in EMS this August...all I can say is counseling saves lives, mine included. Saw the guys artwork at an EMS conference a couple of years back. I couldn't walk through it all without beginning to cry.
Very well done. My father was a firefighter and I shutter at the things that he saw as a firefighter. It takes a special kind of person to be a first responder and I take my hat off to those men and women who are there when we (the public) need them
Thank You! As I was very touched and could relate to a lot of this occurrences over this last 25 years as a First Responder and hopefully I can get to my retirement safely in the the next 12 years to come. Knowing how appreciative First Responders are is what keeps us strong.
The Reason why I want to become a first Responder Because my grandpa was a firefighter And retired As assistant battalion Fire Chief. And My dad was a officer for 40 Years and I am glad that they Promised to help the Other people.
If it wasn't for them then a lot of people wouldn't be here. My prayers are with all of the first responders 🙏. Keep it up and know that you are not alone. I hope that one day I will be one of you. I'm going to go out to our local community college and take classes to become an EMT and then volunteer for the American Red Cross. Love from Marysville, California
My dad is a firefighter and he has seen stuff no one should see but he keeps going and continues doing this job and keeping people save.Thank you to Every single Police Officer, Firefighter, Paramedic, Dispatcher, Military Soldier,Doctor, Correction and more.I hope one day I get to show that love and respect to the military and first responders by joining them.❤❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏⛑️🪖🚒🚑🚓🚨👮🧑🚒🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you. As a first responder I will say this needs to been seen and heard. I don't care how long you have been in the field you have calls that stick with you and it never gets any easier to deal with them no matter how long you have been doing it
2 yrs retired from EMS with severe PTSD. Thanks for the video. I want nothing more than for people to understand us, what we've done what we've seen, how many body's we've covered to spare others the trauma of seeing it once.
The part with the little girl made me tear. We love you first responders and all you do. rest in peace to all first responders who made the ultamate sacrafice.
Thank you so much for making this video. I am part of Search and Rescue, and I have been on calls where you already expect the outcome to be terrible. It is always hard to see the pain and sadness that the parents, grandparents, children or friends of the subject when you tell them that their son/daughter etc... was found dead.
Kozmos ....but they were found....because of you. Because of you and your brethren...that family KNOWS where their loved one is. Because of you, they will not go to sleep wondering if their lived one was kidnapped and going thru hell. Because of you...they know. Thank you.
I have worked in the control room (where we manage emergency crews from) and out in the real world. (14 yrs) My wife the same. I've have had PTSD we all need to stand strong and together the fucker will get you eventually if you put enough years on
Great video. Thank you for your appreciation. I’m volunteer search and rescue. I can attest that many volunteer and even paid first responders give a lot of time and a lot of their souls to help others. It’s what we do. We’ve given a lot of time and even our own money to pay for our own trainings and equipment that we never get reimbursed for. To all Law enforcement, fire, EMS, SAR, and dispatch personnel out there. Great video.. I've watched people take there last breath to having patients hold my hand and beg me to not let them die.. I don't care who you are or how long you have been in this field there are calls that stick with you and it will never go away... the faces the screams the cries the images and somehow we have to keep going. All we have is each other.. we see and do things no human should ever have to.. and that's what makes us special and that's what drives us to keep going
Just Me182 ...that's why I am still alive...not because I begged to stay alive...I didn't want to be alive...I was done...but with dedication and a sad face you kept me on earth....many years later...I get to say... Thank you. My place in gods kingdom was not ready yet...it soon will be tho. I am terminally ill and am a DNR...have the medic alert, hospital has paperwork and I have the tattoo...life has been....amazing....I have YOU, to thank for that. There is no greater love...
hardest to forget is a father holding my hands, looking at me directly in the eye .. and ask me not to let him die because his daughter is waiting for him to come home.... he had a fatal accident....moments later he passed away.
Thank you I am a firefighter and it needs to be known every that goes through our heads we try our best leave our families for possibly the last time every call
Well guess what pussy it is so bad and so dangerous which it isn't it's not even the top 20 dangerous jobs at least law enforcement comes in at 15 but there's one thing you're free to walk off or quit your job or if you're employed by a city or county department transfer to another department like Public works which by the way is far more dangerous than any other local government city or county job just like any other local public employees unlike the military who can't Veterans Day is coming up it's a federal holiday I'm sure there's a parade or event near you why don't you go to it and see some real heroes that wore a real uniform and served our country!!!!!😀😀🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
im an emt in a small town in the middle of nowhere it has its own challenges you know everyone and you take it personal when you cant do anything for them at all and the closest hospital is 30 miles away. i know deep down there was nothing i could do for them but i cant help but replay it in my head differnt things i could of done
I am an EMT in a bigger city, 100k but live ten miles away in a city of about 13k. Our issue is four about a 50 mile radius we have one regional hospital! I mean the area I work in is 50 miles but over all their is cities 2-3 hours away and its rough to hear things like that come over the radio... Our life flight is pretty crazy around here with six locations but still seems to never be enough.
ItsQ47 my boyfriend is a firefighter 25 years an AEMT and reserve police officer. He want to teach a class about PTSD and the struggles our first responders are left to deal with. Is there anyway he could get permission to use this video as part of his class through the EMS system. He was already approved to teach the class. Many are told they must remain silent and do not talk about what they have experienced on the job, as many fear they could loose their job if they did. Thank you for this video, it was remarkably well done! Our first responders need to know that can talk and not feel they walk alone as many do. There is no support for them , they are left to deal on their own. Again, thank you !!
Yeah its different when you know almost everyone who lives in your jurisdiction. Where I am at, almost everyone knows each other, and that’s county wide, so we take each one personally as we have a 50/50 chance it is someone we know.
Wow, I pray everyday for my family, my husband who is a volunteer firefighter, my son a paramedic/firefighter, friends and family that are in law enforcement! May God bless you all. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Had to realize this included me. Took me sometime to realize I had to get help & I reached out. Thanks to my family my stepson who as a Usmc officer noticed my signs. It’s not easy to admit but it’s a mountain I’ll climb ! I’ve seen lots of great people loose their lives to this. We need to be ready to notice signs of ptsd ! God bless 🇺🇸
The pictures are cool to all the first responders and Military personnel active duty retired volunteer thank you for you service you are not alone God bless you all thank you and RIP to all the first responders and Military personnel that have died
My heartfelt love to first responders who see these sad things too often wherever you are. 12 years since my husband died paramedics who hasn't heard still call me by name and ask how Ken is. I cry. God bless you and stay safe y'all 😢😭😢😭😢😭🇨🇦😭😢😭😢🇨🇦👨🚒👩🚒👮♂️👮♂️👮♂️👨🚒👩🚒
It is an honor and a mission to help those who are at risk and those who need it. The women and men who fulfill this mission every day are heroes to whom we will never be able to thank enough. I am proud of all the Women and Men around the world who have lost down what is most los in their "own life" in the ministry, and I sympathize with families who lack them on a daily basis.
36 years, army medic then fire fighter till I got hurt, then dispatch for 21 years. For those who want to do this its a great life but it takes a lot out of you. Don't wait till its to late to quit.
I have been in the fire service for 50 years and I have seen a lot.I served on 3 fire departments and was a former fire captain and today I am serving in the capacity as an Incident Safety Officer.I knew 4 firefighters who were killed in 911 at the World Trade Center in New York.I also have had the unpleasent task of removing the bodies of fire victims from burned buildings and vehicle wrecks. The fire department that I presently belong to ,also runs the EMS service and has rolled on suicides. One of the most unpleasent suicides we resonded to was for a teenage girl that hanged herself.
Don't forget to talk to someone, guys. Your job is hard, I know; harder than I could ever even imagine. But always remember why you started, and please, *please* don't hold all that pain down forever. You put your life, limb, and overall wellbeing on the line to try and make the world a slightly better place. The least we can do in return is give you company when you need it the most.
My dad has been in the fire and ems for about 20 years now and the stuff he sees everyday working and what he has seen and the sleep he has lost has changed him I remember when he was still new to the fire service and was a very fun person to be with but now after all this he has seen he changed I still remember the day he came home talking about how 3 people died that shift and 1 made it out alive 2 of them died in the rescue 1 died on scene the last lived because of the defibrillators I still love him but the way he just stares like he’s looking 1000 yards away and how he just can’t deal with a lot and need to be moving constantly because of how his adrenaline is flowing always it pains me to see how these people change
It's been 6½ years since I was forced out of the fire service in bath county Kentucky over a suicide attempt. All because I was trying to get the image's out of my mind but when asked for help all I was told was "you just need a good fire call" I went 4 days no sleep leading up to that day I tried to fix it. After all I got was kicked off the department and a restraining order saying I wasn't aloud to talk to firefighter in that county. I still fight to this day the image's and of course thay are triggered by hearing siren's or seeing/driving by accident scenes
Wish I could forget what I seen and mistakes I have made, I almost ran over something I shouldn't have, witch would have killed me and probably my 2 partners that I was supposed to be watching over, still have nightmares about some of the things that I have seen in the line of duty
Am. An volunteer firefighter. Been in this since I was 16 I wanted to join. My local fire department and. Now am 18. And I have seen alot in my 8 to. 9. Months. On duty. Some effects me to this day. I still have the smell and the sounds of screaming in. My head. But I still push on.
Trust me Bro you will never forget what you've seen what you will see I was in for 12 years been out for 7 just remember your training we put that MC on to go through hell itself to protect remember your acronyms and risk alot to save alot risk little to save little risk nothing to save nothing every run you go on listen to your instincts good luck to u watch ur brothers 6 and theyll watch urs
sniperboss365 dope game play well this is the red sign! I am a 33 year ff/ medic. & now it has hit me ! It’s ok to ask for help & get help ! We are not machines we do this for others no one can grasp the things your brain takes In. I have incidents that go back to my start. There are places to help & this thing called EMDR -That helps , look on the net & find someone near you. Drinking or drugs don’t make it disappear ! It’s not a job most can do .... so keep yourself mentally in the game! God bless 🚑🚒
As a former paramedic/FF and law enforcement officer with 15 years on the job in a major city, including responding to 9/11, please please please if you need help please get it. you do not have to carry the load alone. just hit the button and asked for back up. we are all here for you. All of us. There is help. And it can save your life. It's worth it. You are worth it.
I'm training to be a fireman. Some people call me crazy for saving people that I don't know but I'm willing to put my life on the line so that you won't have too
Here's what you need to do kid don't waste your time right now with civilian firefighters join the military serve your country try to become a military firefighter and even if you don't become a firefighter in the military when you get out you'll get the GI bill which will pay for everything you'll get all kinds of benefits as a vet and Military experience will look great on your resume or application plus you get Veteran's preference which will put you at the head of the group in the application process plus you get all kinds of veterans discounts at the big box stores like Lowe's hardware the home Depot plus the American people love almost to the point of worship the military that's why we have armed forces Day Veterans Day and of course the big one Memorial Day no offense how many federal holidays do civilian First Responders and police get none!!!!
RCMP at 1:02 That's what I'm gunning for, I was accepted but the classroom learning and training is hard. I like the challenge and I know that one day I'll see something I won't forget... Ever
I often feel alone. I find I cannot talk about the worst memories, the ghosts, and the nightmares. I need a good cry but cannot allow myself to do so. My wife has offered....but I cannot put her through that (she is not public safety).
I hear you man, but it's okay to reach out. If you need someone to vent to. Please message my Facebook page and I'll give you my phone number. I've been an emt for 5 years so anything you share will be confidential. You are not alone brother.

I realized that the screaming I hear are from PTSD. Over 20 plus years. I wish I could forget. People think I am strange. Go figure... I'm trying to start a PTSD place on my ranch, but I got arrested. Talk about playing uniform against uniform. All because of lies and forgery by someone that has never worked the streets. The judge threatened me with contemp of court. I suffer from PTSD and TBI. Got injured in a fire 🔥.
I am a critical care medic provider worldwide . Uk base Yes we hurt too. But for all the brother's and sisters we love you,we thank you.god bless you all

We got the girl, but my college, my friend, my partner who has been on the street with me, more than 5 years. He got pushed out in front of the train. I saw it all....... since I has been brok every godam evening.

Just Me182 Thank you, I couldn't agree more. Ive been on calls like that and still hear sounds. Sounds and sights you never forget.
Just Me182 is that why my father won't tell me any more than the same 4 story's from his 20 years as a firefighter and EMT??
Just Me182 ...that's why I am still alive...not because I begged to stay alive...I didn't want to be alive...I was done...but with dedication and a sad face you kept me on earth....many years later...I get to say...
Thank you.

Well guess what pussy it is so bad and so dangerous which it isn't it's not even the top 20 dangerous jobs at least law enforcement comes in at 15 but there's one thing you're free to walk off or quit your job or if you're employed by a city or county department transfer to another department like Public works which by the way is far more dangerous than any other local government city or county job just like any other local public employees unlike the military who can't Veterans Day is coming up it's a federal holiday I'm sure there's a parade or event near you why don't you go to it and see some real heroes that wore a real uniform and served our country!!!!!😀😀🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
calls that involve children mess me up the most those are the calls I lay awake at night thinking about.
My dad to
Kids left in pieces, haunt my dreams, and while I’m awake.
I hear you.. I had a 6 month old pass away on me last shift and I’m still not sleeping... I went home and hugged my 1.5 year old and I lost it
Any scene involving a child will haunt you....
36 years with the last 17 in dispatch. So many calls still come to me in the night. My Mommy wont wake up....
Stunning artwork and a beautiful song.
im an emt in a small town in the middle of nowhere it has its own challenges you know everyone and you take it personal when you cant do anything for them at all and the closest hospital is 30 miles away. i know deep down there was nothing i could do for them but i cant help but replay it in my head differnt things i could of done
Jay Mcwhirter I couldn't agree more. I work in a similar situation.
Jay Mcwhirter I know the feeling brother, I work in the same situation.
Yeah its different when you know almost everyone who lives in your jurisdiction. Where I am at, almost everyone knows each other, and that’s county wide, so we take each one personally as we have a 50/50 chance it is someone we know.
I wish I could stop the dreams but I can't un-see the things that have happened.
Yeah, it is tough. If you are struggling please reach out.
As a teen who was saved by first responders almost 9 years ago this makes me cry thank you first responders 😁
Awesome tribute to awesome people who serve us!
Wow, I pray everyday for my family, my husband who is a volunteer firefighter, my son a paramedic/firefighter, friends and family that are in law enforcement! May God bless you all. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
As a EMT going into medic school and volunteer fireman this hits different. Thank you brothers and sisters out there that come in to work everyday
Amazing! Beautiful artwork and choice of music. As an EMT, I thank you.
Wow this is beautiful
Thank you.
Thank you from Ambulance, Moscow, Russia. Great video. Thank to all ems, police and firefighters all the words!
Thank you for sacrificing your lives to help others
I am an EMT-paramedic thank you so much for this tribute

My dad is a police officer and the best dad I could ask for.
The 30 people that down voted this shouldn’t ever call for help
Really Nice!! I just started to be a fire fighter
I have so much respect for them
My daddy is actually a perimedic
It is an honor and a mission to help those who are at risk and those who need it. The women and men who fulfill this mission every day are heroes to whom we will never be able to thank enough. I am proud of all the Women and Men around the world who have lost down what is most los in their "own life" in the ministry, and I sympathize with families who lack them on a daily basis.
36 years, army medic then fire fighter till I got hurt, then dispatch for 21 years. For those who want to do this its a great life but it takes a lot out of you. Don't wait till its to late to quit.
Appreciate this very much, thank you.
RIP to all my brothers and sisters 9 11
very nicely done ....from a firefighter ..thank you
Wow! This is an amazing video and the song is positively beautiful!!!🧡💛❤💚
Keep going brave heros!!
Thank you for everything K9 too , I know your cannot be easy may the pictures and nightmares go away in Jesus name we pray Amen.
Existen noches que me dan miedo soñar
I'm sorry to hear that. I pray you find the peace you need brother.
My dad is EMS and im hoping to become one
My dad is a police detective for the Unified police department in Salt Lake Utah. I'm hoping to become one too.
Follow your dreams!
Wish I could forget what I seen and mistakes I have made, I almost ran over something I shouldn't have, witch would have killed me and probably my 2 partners that I was supposed to be watching over, still have nightmares about some of the things that I have seen in the line of duty
I’m a jr, firefighter and I feel some of this, to all the people out there and if your calls haunt you, talk about it
Stay safe brother
Easier said than done ...
Please God, keep all of them safe!

sniperboss365 dope game play well this is the red sign!
We have been marked by fire, sometimes I don’t know if I’m still a bad dream or trip, I have been speechlessness on some occasions.
This is so well done!!
These people should be commemorated in the same way our Veterans are because they are as important.
As a former paramedic/FF and law enforcement officer with 15 years on the job in a major city, including responding to 9/11,

This video is powerful
RCMP at 1:02
That's what I'm gunning for, I was accepted but the classroom learning and training is hard. I like the challenge and I know that one day I'll see something I won't forget... Ever
I realise now that most of these pictures are of Canadian first responders
I often feel alone. I find I cannot talk about the worst memories, the ghosts, and the nightmares. I need a good cry but cannot allow myself to do so. My wife has offered....but I cannot put her through that (she is not public safety).
I hear you man, but it's okay to reach out. If you need someone to vent to. Please message my Facebook page and I'll give you my phone number. I've been an emt for 5 years so anything you share will be confidential. You are not alone brother.
Yes that hell exist this video made it as clear as the sun in the sky, and as loud as a ringing of a bell.we try to stay the course and keep the faith the best we can.{It can be done} with help!( Ret. Sgt ohio)

They do everything they can to save lives, but unfortunately, not everyone makes it

4:01 hit me hard
WOW, amazing video!😔
So many of us are alone.
PTSD rocks.....
It's a demon I fight daily.
Uk base
