EUTHYMOL tooth paste contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate unfortunately. I bought this tooth paste because it doesn't contain fluoride. Also on the back of the tooth paste i saw it was made by (johnson and johnson limited) the shot company, yikes. Have to boycot this now.
I am allergic to sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, and propylene glycol. It has been really hard for me this year because I have chronically been getting hives. I switched my toothpaste to Sensodyne and don’t get mouth ulcers anymore. I am alarmed to hear it can be in food. Maybe that is why I am allergic to gatorade… I wonder if I am eating something that has it in it which is making my hives worse.
What do to you think is an alternative for the chemical itself in toothpastes? What other chemicals can swap out the SLS in various tooth pastes and is that possible, or do we need to reconstruct the whole paste in order for it to work effectively?
For women in menopause/post menopause using estrogen creams…ya, it’s in that too! Pisses me off. Two different female doctors prescribed it for me and neither had a clue it contained SLS. I asked one..”Have you read the other ingredients?” Nope she had not. I told her it’s banned in shampoos so why should I put it in or on my body? Arg! Any suggestions for alternatives to Premarin?
Can you point me to some sls free personal care products or lines that aren’t $10000000 holy it’s so expensive! What do you use?? Face wash? Toothpaste? Soap? Detergent for clothes? Shampoo?
According to the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database, SLS is a "moderate hazard" that has been linked to cancer, neurotoxicity, organ toxicity, skin irritation and endocrine disruption. Sodium lauryl sulfate allows shampoos and other body products to foam.
@@dr.leighsierra2902 Thank you for your reply. I am.using sea salt and coconut oil, those two are jusf a part of ingredients. Milk powder is the safe ingredient for the foam,I don't know anything else...thank.you again for your prevention :)

Arm & Hammer Advanced White toothpaste really messed up my mouth and lips, and I suspect it was the SLS in a high amount.
It's in the angel food cake mix!!!

@@dr.leighsierra2902 thanks a lot!
Add the research articles please, I don't think there is good evidence of SLS or SLES being harmful from the material I've seen.
For hormone creams etc, you can use a compounding pharmacy. I am allergic to sulfates and have to use one.
Can I sue Colgate for endangering my tongue 👅? Reddish burning sensation after only 3 uses ?

Hi is there any alternatives for toothpastes?
hello and toms
@@dr.leighsierra2902 I recently got Tom's of Maine Fluoride-Free, Antiplaque, and Whitening but it does have SLS so be careful!
Burt's Bees has an SLS-free toothpaste.
So,what's the alternative??
There are lots of soaps and shampoos without this chemical.... What are you looking for and I can point you in the right direction.
