im imagining alphys infusing herself with all of the determination harvested from the human souls, but not the souls themselves, as only asgore seemingly has access to them. actually after writing this, look at the hp bar. its LV 6. either this is before complete genocide or this is a post-genocide fight, either DUSTTALE or otherwise, seeming as it is implied that alphys also has access to the timeline machine. alternatively, she could have absorbed your determination with the machine to even out the playing field, similar to what happens with UT:COTV in that one ending. I like the implications that this might be a DUSTTALE AU, where Sans actually screwed up the underground, and left the boss monsters alive and explained the situation. Alphys might have been drained mentally from watching undyne die, with the knowledge that it's happened probably hundreds of times, and then soon derailed from the original plan with one of her own. Edit: i just thought of the three bubbles on her head as extremely disproportional eyeballs and i cant unsee it. In a way it fits the theme alot better somehow.
Hey so I made the concept behind this, and I can give some clarification on some certain things! First of all, this is meant to take place after a Neutral Ending where main characters like Papyrus, Mettaton and Asgore got killed, alongside a few other monsters. and Undyne became the ruler of the Underground. Matsui (The LIVE A LIVE Character), falls into the underground a few years after whatever happened in the underground, and receives the SOUL from Toriel so that he can escape the Underground, hence why he is LV 6 here. I don't actually know where it's implied that Alphys has access to the timeline machine in this text, if you mean the "failed everyone once" line, that's meant to reference the fact she could have killed Frisk at any point, but didn't do it. So, she's making up for that by making sure the next human that fell dies, even if it kills her. Also, the SOULs are gone, like they are in UT after a Neutral run. So Alphys injects herself with the little bit of DT that she had remaining before they vanished. The barrier also looks the way it does because of Flowey messing with it when the Omega Flowey happened. Hope this makes it clearer!
@@justthemoonz I meant that its very lightly implied she had the timeline machine in regular undertale, mainly due to an observation that sans is also implied to have worked with alphys and something along those lines, also implying that sans got the machine in the secret room from the lab at some point. I dont know what i exactly was talking about, but it is implied amongst an implication, making it wildly inaccurate, so im not sure how i came up with that. Otherwise, thanks for the information.
