Hopefully, you'll go back and read my yesterday's comment, but not only have you become a successful thru hiker, I dare say, you've become quite a successful UA-cam creator. I didn't comment until far later than usual because I was out on an overnight (stealth camp) day hike and did a measly 5.86 miles yesterday morning back to home. Your unbelievable string of good weather continued, and you had a couple great overlooks here. Crying? I could see multiple reasons to be crying. First, the trail has become your comfort zone, you kind of/sort of knew what to expect most days and now your time on trail was coming to an end and you were about to be thrust into totally new situations where you didn't know exactly what to expect. That's how we grow as people though, taking risks and being willing to go outside our comfort zone. Obviously, you did that getting on trail, and now you've done it again getting off trail. I know you've said you have no desire to hike the trail again, but going forward, the trail will always be there, and I'm sure she'd welcome you back if you ever need her again. Yep, I'm certain the AT is female. Hike on, Mosey!
That's funny about the privy. I did a FLASH in '20, during covid, and the ATC actually put padlocks on some of them. Luckily, when I needed one, a girl I was hiking with happened to be carrying a multitool, so I just unscrewed the dang thing! 😆
Just found this channel today. Ending at the PA/NJ border interests me. I have lived most of my life in NJ and I have been hiking the AT around the Delaware Water Gap and surrounding areas since the early 1980s. Lifelong section hiker in most of the states, but if I did a through hike I would like it to end at the AT parking area just on the NJ side in the Dunnfield Creek Nature Area.
Oh no. They painted the interior of the Barbie Privy?! What color is it now? Be still my heart. I’ll investigate tomorrow. Mashipacong is magical. Sunrise mountain is where we did storytelling recently. So much fun. So enjoying your videos through my (for now) world. I’ve spent quite a while writing at the Brink’s shelter. A writer’s paradise but maybe not as cozy as your tent.
My old stomping ground, Stokes State Park. My Wife and I got married on top of Sunrise Mtn at Sunrise 6 years after meeting on a group hike on the very same spot.
I am praying for your post AT next season. I trust that God has an amazing future for you.
Loved the Dragonfly, They are good luck !

Gyps Tavern brings me back to the Tramily I followed 2023. Hope the shelter took care of you. I never heard that song before. 😊❤

Well 2 days left with 12 day delay, now we can say congratulations 🎉
Wings - my kind of girl.
I saw a video where you finished on the 9th then I see these.
Her videos are still catching up. There’s a lot of the AT that doesn’t have internet, so she couldn’t upload.

Until now, I'd never heard of such a thing as a "Privy Trespasser."
