I do love me Niagara Falls. Town wise I prefer the Canada side. Falls side though I do love the American Park. Views from the deck are fantastic. Oh that rainbow was amazing. Lots of great tips. Shoes and an extra set of clothes if you do the Cave of the wind. I do love all the walking trails up and down the area around the river both above and below the Falls.
I agree about the town. The Canadian side definitely has more to do around the city but I liked the experience of getting up close to the falls on the US side. Oh good tip on the dry clothes!!
We visited the Niagara side years ago and thought it probably wasn't worth visiting the New York side but after watching this episode, I do think we would really enjoy it for the more immersive experience. I didn't realize you can walk across the border, that would be cool to do too!
It's worth going back to experience the NY side in my opinion. Especially if you do the adventure behind the falls or the Maid of the Mist. I want to do those next time we go to the US side. But from what I saw, the food options were better on the Canadian side, not to mention all the wineries we have here.
Wow! got some stunning footage! That's really good info about the observation deck. I'm putting that on my list of "must do" when I visit. The trolley sounds like a fun idea too. you never hear about what's around the park. I'm glad you included that!
I miss visiting here. We used to go every year when I was growing up. Haven't been back since moving to Texas. Thanks for the beautiful views of such a great place to visit.
If you have time, I recommend walking the gorge trails below the falls, and especially Whirlpool State park, which provides an amazing forested area with trails and stone steps down to the rapids and it's all free. the free trolly also stops there.
Great video full of tips about visiting Niagara Falls! I haven’t been to Niagara Falls in decades so I couldn’t remember the details about each side of the falls. But it reminds me of Iguazu Falls where the Argentinian side was better as you could hike trails and be closer to the falls and nature. Whereas the Brazil side was good for photos from a distance.
I haven't been to Iguazu Falls but I've had it on my bucket list for a while. Good tips about where to visit from for the best views and experience. I'd like to do both to compare. 😊
Love Niagara! Only been to the USA side. Gotta check out the other side one day. Great tips! The rainbows are epic from the mist. Good to know about the accessibility. Comfortable shoes are a must too! I didn’t know about the trolly! Also Really want to go behind the falls! Thanks for sharing!

Great video. Good information @ How many days would you recommend to see the NY Falls area without a car. We also want to visit the Canadian side of the falls. How many days to you recommend on Canadian side?
Thanks! Probably about 2 days on the US side and maybe 3 on the Canadian side. Of course you could stay longer depending on what you want to see and do. And you can Uber or even do a winery bus tour.
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Buffalo and it was pretty nice. Never drove from NYC up to Niagara Falls though. If you're going to the Canadian side, the Sheraton, Embassy Suotes and Hilton are all pretty good.
Thanks for sharing. We are traveling in couple of days from California. Is there a place where I can park our stroller before getting into boat for maid of the mist ride?
We really need better attractions on the New York side. The city needs a revival. Just a short drive down the street and the effects of industrial collapse and poverty are everywhere. The city of Niagara Falls needs the tourists; however the tourists need attractions. Tourisism can stimulate the economy, but without attractions it's hard to stimulate the tourism.
