So wish we could get Fleas aka Wolf Dragoons + Earthwerks reintroduction overhaul variants. Also Urbanmech style packs of the 20 tonners like Fleas and Locusts, Urbies are heavier but slow AF. Also the Vulture Mk II with chin turrets from MW 4. I think it was Clan Ghost Bear who produced it. Cougar is also a fav of mine
I'm just getting into Battletch (CBT & Alpha Strike), so I bought what was available. I have the Beginner Box and Alpha Strike Commander's Edition on back order. Otherwise I have the Game of Armoured Conflict and Clan Invasion box sets. I couldn't find any Lance boxes, so instead ordered eighteen Clan Invasion Salvage boxes to get me started. This is what I pulled: Horned Owl, Incubus, Piranha, Raven, Wolfhound, Sentinel, Trebuchet, Conjurer, Black Knight, Victor, Zeus, Longbow, Stalker, Stone Rhino, Supernova, Marauder IIC, Warhammer IIC and a Turkina. What else would you recommend to get next?
It’s hard to say since if we are talking about salvage boxes you don’t know what you will be getting but from that list it’s seems you are lacking medium and heavy mechs there’s not really any tactical benefit to having them exactly because everything is balanced on points anyway but when it comes to building an army you will have more versatility and won’t need to choose between either squishy but fast mechs or slow but tanky mechs but that’s just my suggestion hope it helps
Theory: These boxes are meant to be used for pickup style games where you use these random mechs to create a team to fight against another random team.
I received a display box of 9 blind boxes online. The numbers on the bottoms of the hex stands seem to be in order. I received numbers: 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, (What happened to 71? Did it get cherry picked because it's a good mech?), 72, and 73.
Could well have been but after opening so many of these things I can safely say it’s not a rule of thumb that they will be in perfect order but it will pretty close so you can more or less gauge what you will be getting in the rest
@@wonkyorc9403 The clear round tape over the top and bottom of each salvage box should be clean and lay flat. There shouldn't be signs of fingernails picking at the tape edges or dirty tape that lost it's stickiness. A sealed wrapper would be ideal.
The 5003-1 is the original model , the 5003-0 is the dumbed down version ComStar gave to the Kuritans . I think its similar for all the SLDF/ComStar mechs
I can confirm your theory of the boxes having been organised to have the lance packs in order in them. I opened 6 and i got a full IS battle lance and half of the IS command lance(not complaining though)
Yeah they normally work out more expensive but it depends where you get them some places offer discounts on them also it only works out a tiny bit more expensive for me it’s less than 70p more expensive per mech than getting them in the lance boxes and I don’t see that as a problem because I find it more fun so the extra is just to get a bit of extra fun out of it
A bit odd how they can keep armour value the same but have different structure values. You would think that the way to do it is to strip armour when you want more equipment or a bigger engine. How would you even strip structure.... the structure is what makes the mech. XD
Hey sorry this is a late one I haven’t been active for quite some time (that should change now though) but to answer your question basically they use lighter and stronger materials so they can remove parts of the structure but it retains the strength of the material that was used before kinda like if you built a basket out of dried spaghetti and another basket out of reeds the reed one will need considerably less material to be able to hold heavy items as it’s stronger so it’s the same with the mechs the items of the basket are just weapons and armor and obviously the pasta/reeds are the standard structure or endo steel structure, not only that but the reeds/endo steel will weigh less making the basket/mech weigh less meaning more free weight to use on items/armor/weapons…I’ve probably made this more confusing
I’m gonna paint them different colours for different teams that way if I play with someone who doesn’t have their own miniatures they can pick from a variety of factions but on the other hand I might keep them for future giveaway competitions
Glad you're still doing these! They're fun!
Yeah got one more batch coming this weekend but might take a break from it afterwards and do a first playthrough of the HBS Battletech game

These are quite fun, going though the box openings randomly lol. Going to get some myself now :)
Man a mech I would love to see represented more is the Avatar. Very underrated. Was my goto in MW3.
Absolutely I really want to see more IS omni mech representation all around
They have restocks of the Lance Packs and Star Packs in the Catalyst Store if you're looking to get those last packs.
Yeah I heard about that so might have to put some orders in

Yeah I like the idea of that it’s a cool idea

It’s not always the case…but mostly lol
Where do you get your Salvage Boxes from?
A site called Zatu games they generally have loads in stock
are the blind boxes worth it seems a bit more expensive this way

what's in the blind box? what's in every blind box: a scam.
Mongoose is one of my light mechs of choice.
Mongoose is an innersphere mech

Please ask your mom for a pocket knife for Christmas so you don’t need to use her steak knife to open packages. ;)
Some one else's video they said the number on the bottom tells you what they are.
I'll buy your duplicates :)

Stop buying all the bloody boxes, I can't find any bloody boxes *shakes fist*
Lol sorry where are you looking for them I might be able to recommend some places to try
Blind boxes are too expensive and you don't know what you are buying. Its terrible goods.
Well each to their own but tbh it’s called a blind box so you know you are buying a blind box with the potential to get anything.
