I know right I live in the north in UK I bought summer dresses in April Ive had no wear out of them this year and anyone buying now wants autumn winter stuff anyway I've been waiting for Lydia to do her autumn videos 😞
I love Lydia's style. This is the best content ever, since I started following her a year ago. The one thing I really admire is the modesty, as in she does not show a lot of skin, she is more covered... unlike a lot of the American influencers. Good morning from Los Angeles 🇺🇸.😊
Your outfit at 9.27 is so chic!!! I don’t see quiet lux as a trend. This has always been an elegant look for us older ladies, glad you young gals are learning it through your channel👍👍
As always, great video! Although it’s funny that this classic way of dressing with pieces that never go out of style is suddenly being called a “trend”, I couldn’t be happier that for once a trend isn’t pushing items that will be out of style, or I’ll be sick of, in a year or even just a season. This is very stylish, classy and common sense dressing that is truly worthy of investing in.
I kind of unconsciously started keeping a similar "uniform" this summer - a few quality separates, soft neutral colors, relaxed fit - just because I couldnt be bothered to put too much effort in and its honestly been amazing, easy and carefree- can't wait to continue into the fall!
Hi Lydia, this selection is so timely as the weather transitions into autumn . Pieces are still so appropriate in the summer heat especially for air conditioning too! I also dislike bold logos as I feel I am advertising for the company rather than the style showing up who I am! 👠❤️🇨🇦
Gorgeous! I love the white trousers but feel they would be impractical for my lifestyle unfortunately - what other colour would work, apart from black? Really enjoy your videos, the clothes are so tasteful and you show them with great class!
@janedaniels7645, same. My lifestyle doesn't allow white trousers very often. Lydia recently showed navy, khaki - dark beige bottoms. Honestly, I think any neutral color would work - it depends on how they're styled. Maybe another commenter will reply to you :) ps: pale green and grey are two more versatile choices. I love them both.
Definitely navy or brown, light blue, beige. I prefer navy, because it's softer than black. Black actually suits winter colour types only and therefore most people look sick in it. I think you look luxurious when you look healthy; that means when you wear the right colours for your colour type.
I just love Lilysilk, not only do I have a Queen sheet set which is such luxury, but I have a navy silk halter neck midi dress that I always get compliments on! Thank you for all of your hard work here!
Simple luxury. Love understated, quality fabrics and the final result of refined confident class. There are so many style videos to watch and you are the only stylist I return to again and again. Thanks for sharing! ❤
I hope Lilysilk does a “Lydia” line designed by you! I’ve seen other YT influencers have a line with them, but it’s not my style with the too feminine and ruffles.
I love-love-love Lydia's videos. However ... recently they started looking like commercials for certain companies which, for me, is boring and disappointing.
@@patriciamay3779 i can afford to buy even average people. I bought some from Lilysilk, and silkysilk, they are same quality. why do I have to pay more ?
Hi Lydia! I'm traveling to London in October and would love a video on how to dress nicely for autumnal English weather. So many videos have said to not dress like a tourist and avoid comfortable clothes/sneakers....but as a tourist doing a lot of walking I can't exactly wear heels😂
Lydia does wear sneakers like white leather converse and I think I saw her wear adidas sambas. With that much walking I would wear sneakers that are lower profile, less of the chunky type. I hope you enjoy your trip!
Dress however you want, London is very eclectic, whatever you wear will fit in and even office workers wear trainers whilst commuting! Just layer clothing as October can be warm too, you just don't know until it comes what the weather will be. Have a great time x
I echo the sentiments here. Layering is ideal. We can have 4 seasons in a day sometimes!!!😅 if you are walking, you need to be comfortable. Otherwise, any style goes out of the window if you are shuffling about in agony. (We learned from New Yorkers that it's OK to wear sneakers with almost anything if you are walking about! And maybe carry some smarter shoes to change into if needed. I hope you have a wonderful time and are made welcome.
Thx for this, so many take-aways. I'm in my late 40's and have seen nearly, if not all, the trends and i dont want to revisit. Think this will be my staple going forward
I realise I've dressed like this for years, or variations like Coastal grandmother. It's when comfort and ease becomes as important as style and more important than being really trendy. Over the years you hone in on what you know suits you best, the feel and quality of materials. What is silly about Quiet Luxury is actually you can, like most looks, get it for very reasonable prices. It doesn't need to be extremely expensive because the colour and style of the piece is more important and most people won't know if it's a 'label' costing thousands.
Always enjoy your videos and learn something useful. Would love to see one of your one piece 5 ways for a knitted midaxi skirt, and also for a pleated skirt. Thank you.
Lydia you are very classic, luxury, stylish. However, everybody speak about same - quit luxury, old money, etc. Also, Lily silk is nice, but everybody speak about same - same topic, same brand. Speaking about.. No Vivaia shoes? 😂 ❤❤
Hello Lydia and friends....love your style... on the other hand I do really have bad feelings about the subject silk, because of the production of it, which contains - though a great frabric and long tradition- animal suffering and cruelty. I consider animals as friends and our great teachers ...so I do not eat them either. I guess and imagine that all or most of you love animals and your pets also dearly. I didn't know this background of silk production for a long time, but now I do and act accordingly and I wish more people would inform themselves, so that they can follow their principles of ethical and environment friendly goals more consequently. I read about bamboo Silke, which could be a great alternative for natural silk 😊 What do you think? Sunny greetings
Absolutely. I don't even watch videos of influencers advertising Lily silk. I watched this one because of Lydia's style and I was looking for some inspiration for the upcoming weeks. I don't support any kind of animal suffering either. I don't eat any animals and I don't buy any products that have been tested on animals or include animal suffering of any kind. I hope people become more aware of this... ❤
Еще это хорошее образование и воспитание. Кстати, я увидела это еще в микророликах, Ваших ранних, где такая девочка с хвостиком, прямой осанкой, держащая себя в определенных рамках.
I'm kinda burned out on this quiet luxury thing. People been dressing this way for decades as classic style. You been dressing this way before this was popular on tic toc. Since it's soo much a thing now I don't wanna dress this way as I look like everyone else now and I'm far from rich. I just have style!
I would love to see how you would do this style if you did it sleeveless, just since it would be interesting to see if you weren't allowed to use shirts and t-shirts😂❤ You had some great options here though 😍
Hi Lydia, I so love your videos and how effortlessly you always look so put together and absolutely gorgeous. I love your style and am hoping to really learn from you. I am not sure anymore what my style actually is and am hoping to regain the confidence and ease you mention in all your videos. I love quiet luxury video and all the Lilysilk pieces that look so beautiful together. I am wondering about how their items run size wise. I am slim with an overall hourglass shape and am about 5 ft 21/2- 5'ft 3 inches. The Lilysilk clothes look so gorgeous on you and so hope to emulate your style but not sure i can pull off the looks as effortless as you. Also i do not have a tremendous amount of experience with silk clothes in the past (a few blouses never pants), and just wondering how you care for these pieces and if they stain /wrinkle easily. I am caring for my aging Mom and new grandaughter and once I have a little more time I do hope to really discover my style, best color palette and capsule wardrobe. I have way too many things in my closet and nothing ever feels put together. It is so silly. You are a huge inspiration, thank you for all your do, your videos make me smile.
I always like your videos, thank you. I am often frustrated by seeing a staple you link that I like and finding out that it is from Arket I hope they decide to ship to the United States soon. I don't know why they don't now. Can anyone speak to this issue?
I have tried "inexpensive" cashmere pull-over sweaters a couple of times in my life & was very disappointed each time. I find cashmere is too warm indoors. Good quality lightweight wool is better. I think cashmere is one of those luxuries that is way over-rated. But, maybe if I could afford good quality cashmere I would like it more. I do love cotton, silk, linen & wool. I love tencil fabric.
Love your style Lydia. I bought the white wide legged trousers after seeing them being styled by you. Sadly they had to go back as they are SO see through! A better design would have been to have made them with fake pockets as they are so visible and I feel that it really spoils the look. Very disappointed 😢
How do you wash your lilysilk silk wear? I have their silk skirt but when I put it in the wash it came back out looking patchy with grey marks on it and just generally very rough😢
Yes. She resembles a classic like Princess Grace of Monaco. I like Lydia's modest, tasteful style - too many influencers dress inappropriately. I am not suggesting a burka, lol, but too much skin, tight tops & bottoms tend to look cheap.
