      To be fair. PSA copied some “regular dudes” that posted videos on UA-cam showing that you can sand down a Glock 19 mag. Exposing some metal and leaving the front half with plastic. You just had to do it yourself.
      They “perfected the idea” and mass produced it.
      There’s evidence of Glock 19 mags in Glock 43x.
      Working flawlessly

      Have the 43x and I don’t mind that it’s 10 rounds but that said why not carry 15 if you can? I have the PSA mags and have 300 rounds through one of them. Not a single issue. I am now carrying it with the PSA mag.

    I appreciate this review. Tried the shield mags in my 48. They worked for the first 100 rounds and then couldn't get thru a single mag without multiple failures. It seems to me from the personal experiences and what I've seen and from various YT vids, that the 48 seems to have be the gun that experiences more problems with the shield mags than the 43/43X.
    Seems like maybe these PSA mags are worth a try in my 48.

    Just got 2 PSA micro slick finish mags for my glock 48. Both mags could not get through one loading without failures to feed. Went through 250 rounds trying to break the mags in. Waiting for a warranty response since customer service dose not cover anything by phone you have to fill out a form and wait for them to contact you. I notice my 1 star review never got posted on their website for these mags. Lowest rating is 4 stars. Would never buy another product from this company.

    I have 3 PSA Micro 15 rounds, the black ones, and all of them have the same bulge issue at the baseplate. I use them daily as part of my main self defense EDC (the 3 of them, one on the chamber, 46 rounds in total). All of them work great at the range, but I’m starting to think about carrying just two as backup and running an OEM 10 round mag on the gun (41 rounds in total). I’m looking for a metal replacement but so far no luck.

    I have guns that carry more. But 10+1 is plenty for what I do on a day to day basis. I rarely go out at night or in any “bad” areas. I carry an extra 10 round magazine not necessarily because I think I might need all those rounds but if my other magazine causes a malfunction or something in that nature. 10 pretty much guaranteed rounds out of a 43x/48 makes me feel better than any other brand. Imo of course.

    • @Preh
      @Preh 11 місяців тому

      I would argue that the test at hand is a fitment test, the sa15 mag failure were caused by the fit and the angle causing failures to feed. I'm not saying that 500 rounds through 1 mag is a bad test, but it would be better for durability. The best test they could do to put my mind at ease is as many dagger mags through as many 48 and 43x as possible. Because some people never had issue with the sa15 magazines, it wasn't that they made bad quality magazines.

    I did not need 500 rounds to know these magazines were as reliable as factory Glock magazines. I ran about 30 rounds in each of my 3 magazines and I was sold and they locked back each time with no failure to feed so my Shield magazines are getting trashed because I DON’T TRUST THEM. PSA hit a home run out the gate.

      An old vet at a local range told me that 800 rounds is the minimum for determine if a gun is worth using to defend your life. I have had several guns fail badly in between 200 and 800 rounds. One of them was a Glock 19 with a bad ejector and extractor that didn’t expose itself until just under 800 rounds. The old guy was right.

    Maybe it's because I have large hands, but I cannot understand the reason for many of the "newer" Glocks like the model 48 and 43X & 19X. The Glock 19 isn't that much thicker than the 48 in my hand. The 43X makes no sense at all in that the whole reason for the 43 was to have a micro 9 and the part that is hardest to conceal is the grip. Same goes for the 19X. Why not just buy a Glock 17? I'm surpised these guns sell enough for Glock to make them.

    • @justinkeckhaver8199
      @justinkeckhaver8199 Рік тому +1

      On paper it's not much thinner, but in the hand you can tell a big difference. I've always loved Glocks, but hated the "bulkiness". They brought out the 43X/48, and I fell in love all over again.
      Also, as far as capacity- the 43X/48 are great for people who live in magazine restricted states.
      And for the 19X, it was meant for the military. It's civilian counterpart the 45 is a good option for LE, and anyone who wants a large capacity gun, but who also spend a lot of time sitting. The shorter barrel and slide are more comfortable in many cases. Same for the 47, more or less.
