I like the intense commentary during the RT vs Nogla fight, because I know from their perspectives, RT and Nogla were just making Irate Irish Noises at each other the whole fight
I find it pretty funny that people go straight for the flying Gyarados when there is a much easier stationary Alpha back at Lake Verity. (This is assuming they have beaten the game or are at least pretty near the end.)
Flying Pokemon are significantly easier to catch than any other pokemon if you know what you're doing, you can just stun lock them in balls, that's why dude kept yelling for him to ready another ball
Honestly, Wolfey is a great way to learn/improve in doubles format. He got me feeling like I can play doubles! (I still can't my brain can't think that much)

Wolfey has become Leon after you beat him at the end of the game in SW/SH he goes to the battle tower and starts helping other trainers grow and creating new challenges for all the trianers out there to enjoy

I actually love Jaidens team of all in with Gastrodon duo power, double surf to level up. Cool to see her do so well! Hopcats team was also sick with the wild Qwilfish, he has his own video on this tournament!
I watched the entire stream and the highlight of it was UNDOUBTEDLY Aaron's "fever dream" call after Jaiden's round 1. Absolute shame to miss out on that audio. That said, really great content all around. You Aaron and John have great chemistry as hosts.
I’m glad Minimize Clefable never paid off in the finals. I don’t think that’s how anybody, least of all Jan, would have wanted this tournament to conclude.
Correct me if I’m wrong but RT was the only one who ran Ursaluna and ended up winning. Ursa is going to be unstoppable in the next Gen of competitive games. 140 base attack + STAB Facade w/Burn can pretty much KO or 2HKO anything in the game, and with its natural bulk it can survive to take down whatever is a threat. Was glad to see RT win with it.
Hmmm... It definitely won't enjoy passive chip damage from stuff like Rough Skin or Iron Barbs, and it totally looks like a Leech Seed target too. Assuming the standard set includes Protect, Facade, and Headlong Rush, I reckon it'll be handling some clear Four Moveslot Syndrome, where it'll need to choose between Fire Punch for Ferrothorn or Ice Punch for the ever-problematic Landorus-T and maybe Garchomp.

Not to mention Hisuian Pokemon are likely not natively available due to being used as the example for Home transfers, on top of there being a fair chance that they're dexlocked until postgame.
Best part is Jan being a last minute replacement and goes on to sweep on through to the finals. Probably the best nuzlocker in the world or something lol

6 pokemon doubles is interesting. Less focus on specific 2 pokemon combinations and imo a clear nerf to timed effects like trickroom, weather, terrain, shields. I think 4v4 is overall a better format, but I always thought it was weird 6v6 isn't even a sideevent.

Catching a Magikarp and leveling up it's probably the easiest way to go, actually. The exp candies are plentifull.

I was always more scared of Eviolite Hisuian Quilfish than Overquil. A Pokémon with that type combo and that item is nothing to overlook.

6 pokemon doubles is interesting.
Less focus on specific 2 pokemon combinations and imo a clear nerf to timed effects like trickroom, weather, terrain, shields.
I think 4v4 is overall a better format, but I always thought it was weird 6v6 isn't even a sideevent.
I don’t think the results of this tournament support your hypothesis that 6v6 doubles is a clear nerf to trick room compared to the VGC format
