Pog raced 31 races this year, he won 13 of them. A lean 41,9 % ! And he's only 25 years old ! This dude is gonna break all the records and be the king of racing for many years to come. Broken ribs and punctured lung means that he will only be a factor by the time of Vuelta (IMO). It's a pity...because Poga in this form at the tour vs Jonas would be epic.

At this stage in my life, I'm quite sure Pogacer is hiding a 1000hp V12 engine inside his hip. We don't need silly anti-doping tests, we need his hip's xrays.

@@ferchocardona1917Lance is a pretty big guy for a cyclist(~75kg compared to tadej at ~65kg)and doesn’t have the ideal body type for mountains nor did he start racing at 9 years old like Tadej. Anything is possible but probably unlikely in this case
We all at this point need a cogent biological explanation why he keeps doing this.When Secretariat was autopsied they found a ridiculously large heart muscle which explained his blinding speeds over distance.Whats Pogacars biological differences?
@@ceilingfan692 I don’t know where you get your information but it’s common knowledge Lance was farting around with tri’s as a 9 year old when someone wisely told him he should focus on the bike. After that was a blistering career in the saddle as a youth. Tadej rocks but don’t go making up crap like he is a one and only prodigy.

The comment below mine says "he didn't even look tired". The commentators said yesterday that this was the fastest Giro ever. Pog rides away EASILY in every stage. He does not enter many early season races. Sound familiar? My great hope is that this is not doping. At first I thought that the great talent just wasn't here but then: fastest Giro ever. Avoiding early season for Lance was often avoiding post race dope checks. Eddy Merckx did not ride away at will. The "cannibal" ground them down. IWhen two riders (Pog & Jonas) easily separate themselves at will from the rest of the field day after day. You gotta wonder!!!
At least he races Giro and Tour, while Lance only did the Tour.

@@ceilingfan692 You seem to be confused. This is the 2024 Giro, not last years TDF. In other words, a lot changes over the course of a year which could include a new PED system. A guy that demolishes the rest of the pros by 10 minutes and doesn't look tired at the end of a mountain stage should raise some questions.

There is no doubt that this guy is superhuman and good luck to him. I'm reminded of the saying that if something seems to be too good to be true it usually is. I don't for one minute think that there's anything dubious about his achievements but at the same time I can't help believing that things are not as they appear to be on the surface. We have a Giro that has been raced at record speeds and heres a guy who is 10 minutes clear of the field and ridng as though it's only the start rather than the end of a 3 week grand tour.

@@Jeffrey.shorts64 I'm not suggesting any doping is going on but I can't believe that such continuous high end performances are possible without considerable input from his medical team. If the reality now is that the physical condition of top riders is constantly monitored and the provision of various supplements to correct any imbalnces and enable a fast recovery is the norm then they are essentially lab rats. One final thing though is that the riders still have to be good enough togo out and do it so hats off to pog!

This is not normal and it's not due to improvements in diet/training cuz that's what they said to justify LA. For TP to destroy his competition by minutes and look fresh as a daisy over the finish line is a clear sign he's juiced. I mean, the all mostly are, but clearly UAE has found a magic combination that works wonders on Pog. And I'm a Pog fan FWIW.

And so ends the most tedious giro of recent years. It’s that dichotomy between those who want to see masters if their craft in action, vs those who want to see good competitive racing….. and there’s been precious little of that. Fans of pog will have had a field day; fans of racing, less so.
Pog dominated. Sure! He is fantastic. But, this Giro is a second class field, versus the Tour or Spring monuments. Roglic, Vingegaard, and Evanepoel are the real competition, not G Thomas or Dani Martinez. Pog is an excellent climber, and a darn good sprinter, but he usually does not outclimb Vingegaard, and both Evanepoel and Roglic can ride like Pog. None of those three may be near what they could be for the TDF, due to injury, but we can hope. This year we may still have a great Tour.
