Production quality 👌 on point. Eley S.A.B.R has been my go to for Eley lately for 24"+ barrels. The current lots of Eley Match and Tenex are throwing lots of flyers. Ordered some of the new 1023-5000 lots to give a try
I come from traditional NRA / CMP High Power and I have never been a fan of the mag block designs because we have always preached that a stem must extend into the chamber to confirm no round in the chamber. When I started shooting organized rimfire, I was quite surprised how the mag block was accepted given that rimfire is the one platform where an open bolt leaving an unfired round in a chamber is not uncommon. Great coverage, as usual. Looks like a great venue.
Yeah, I totally understand the crackdown on mag blocks. I was always very conscious of my chamber when using them, but the ranges and clubs have a lot of liability and can't possibly take any risks, especially with recent events that took place. The thing I liked most about the magblocks was just the convenience.
Designed a mag block with a retractable pluger that gets pushed forward with the bolt and lanyard tied to the bolt knob. Satisfy's the saftey rules🤙 lmk if you want one John
@Womfat Great video, this looks amazing was anyone using a semi auto in this match? Or was it set up for bolt action only? I enjoyed your older videos on the Grey Birch, considering one of those or a Tikka T1x.
These matches are not bolt-action exclusive, but very few competitors use semi autos.. I don't think I saw a single one at this match, but they do pop up occasionally.
@womfat Mat I imagine you have been asked this before but what are your thoughts on barrel tuners? I saw some shooters using them but seems like the majority do not. Just curious on your thoughts... Great video as usual.
I think they have some merit, but I don't think the vast majority of shooters are actually tuning them properly. I didn't want to bother with one on my current rifle so chose to opt for a barrel with no threads.
Thanks for seeing that triggercam might cost you some acuity. Do what is best for your shooting. The montage is just fine for us viewers? Why did you switch to eley? SK was not available? What accuracy are you needing for competitive shooting?
In archery this process is call “Flighting” the groups are broken up by score into groups. It is a fair way to have a chance at money without being the top overall. Good job as always.
Great video Matt.
It is interesting to watch all of this.
Great stuff man keep it coming!!!
Appreciate that, lots of efforts goes into these! Cheers
Interesting watch. I need to get out there one of these times.
Awesome job and way to go.

Thanks, and great to know.. I was using Match this weekend and can’t quite get my kestrel to work with it yet
The forced perspective at 25:38-25:46 is hilarious!
Didn't even notice that, but that's pretty funny!!

Running out of SK LRM.. ammo availability where I am sucks, gotta shoot what I can find.
When he was talking about the ECIs is that for rimfire or center fire as well?
Both RF and CF now
See you in Italy?
Hopefully!
@@Womfat Hope you make it 🎯
