BMW G310GS G310R IMPROVE THE REAR BRAKE

Following up the gear lever adjustment we're now looking to improve the feel of the BMW G310GS back brake. #mrsriderguider (Chantal) isn't happy with its performance and finds it's not keen enough at all, after riding it myself I'm in total agreement. There's not much adjustment available other than upgrading the brake pads to a more suitable material to improve the feel, but first we need to fit a pedal enlarger which will improve the span a little and reduce the angle she has to press the pedal to get it to bite. Update, this pedal enlarger has made a positive improvement. For the money, ease of fitment, it is a worthy addition.

You can remove the rubber of your foot peg to get some higher ajustement as well 😊

As your fellow old countrymen have a reputation for being careful with money I half expected you to be bolting on an offcut of some 3" angle iron! Looked a nice quick mod to be fair though. All the best to you both.

I found the pedal too low on my G310R and bought a pedal extender,transforms the bike for so little money..

I don’t find any item high enough so Iv screwed a block of wood mine which is exact right!

AWESOME. The angle is so wrong as standard, I can't believe how BMW designed it this way.

It just gives an extra bit of height on top of the pedal. There’s no other way of adjusting the brake unfortunately so that extra 6mm of thickness gives a better feel due to it reducing how far a rider has to extend their foot angle at the ankle. Actually quite a bit better than standard 👍🏼
