- We've already done a video that included this however it also included quite a few other things so to save people having to search through the whole of the previous video, we've created this one that covers just the gear lever adjustment for the BMW G310GS and it's the same principle on the G310R. Very useful for riders who struggle to get the toe of their boots underneath the gear lever.

I'm new to riding and have this bike. I have avoided using my big boots simply because they were too stiff to get under the leaver so this step by step guide is awesome for me, thanks.
Hi Daniel, that's awesome mate, glad we can be of help 🙂
Thanks for this. I just made this adjustment on my ride after finding my new boots just didn’t want to go under the lever. Of note I found the factory had installed a lot thread locking compound on the entire bolt, except for the section that actually threaded. .
Santa brought me some new big fat Forma boots and I was wondering how to adjust my shifter so I could fit my foot underneath. Excellent video! Thanks so much!
Haha, made this video especially for you mate! Merry Christmas 😁
Good, clearly described video. Perfect
THANK YOU mate 🙂
Thank you great video
THANKS - you're welcome ;-)
Excellent how to. Well done 👍
Thanks Mike, hope you're well mate and enjoying them coffee mornings 🙂
That was a good little informative video for adjusting the lever. Was trying to think of who else had mentioned having one of these bikes and as she mentioned it in a recent article I now know it was Rowena Hoseason of The Cosmic Bike Co LTD. All the best.
Thanks matey 🙂👍🏼
Hi mate I have just picked up my brand new g310gs and I'm going to do exactly the same as you, great video well explained 👍
Great stuff. Congrats on the GS. You’ll love it mate. Keep in touch with the channel, we have some cool stuff planned for the BMW 😃
Nicely explained as it's a little difficult to get in at the adjuster. When Carol and I were at the bike show Carol sat on an Enfield with a heal and toe changer. "What's that she said" It's so you don't need to put your toe under the lever to change up.
And just to confuse us the Royal Enfields back in the day had the gear/brake levers on the wrong sides! Haha. Glad they sorted that out! Hope you're all still living the dream mate. We're hoping to watch your bike show video this weekend.
@@TheRiderGuider Thanks and as for living the dream...... we're doing our best to enjoy life. Cheers and best wishes
Very informative. Just bought the 310 gs yesterday (first bike) and was wondering if/how this was adjustable.
Enjoy the bike mate. Congrats 😃😎👍🏼
I just adjusted my 2019 in 9 minutes approaching the shaft from below .
Took it for a spin . Felt way better .
Why didn’t the dealer do this at delivery? Been in discomfort for 5 years now .
That’s sad on my part . I thought it was because of a old sports injury
Glad you sorted it. At last. Nice one. Funny isn't it that we can spend a 5% of the price on a bicycle and the dealer will adjust the seat, the bars, the brake levers to suit the rider. Buy a motorbike and they do nothing like that!
@@TheRiderGuider I was actually going to sell the bike and at my current age of 71 , thought this was the end of my riding career. I am thrilled to be able to shift with out pain .
I just love UA-cam videos!
Indeed. Great you’ve been able to carry on riding. What bikes have you had previously? Our GS is my wife’s and I find it a capable bike when I borrow it 😄
@@TheRiderGuider I had a 1995 FXRP Harley for 5 years and a K1200LT for 19 years .
I could ride the HD today no problem, but the K bike was just too big to muscle around anymore
I raised mine one inch.
It makes all the difference! Cheers mate 🙂
Hey. Is it possible to raise the brake pedal? I find when standing in stuff boots it's difficult at rimes
We’ve been working on this … no real adjustment but this has improved things quite a bit … ua-cam.com/video/qOeqD3Zx1z0/v-deo.html
@@TheRiderGuider Thanks heaps.
