I suppose the temptation is high when you have girls throwing themselves at you all the time with their boobs hanging out and tight Daisy Dukes. It's as much her fault if she had sex with him as is is his. She could have said NO. I seriously he would have raped her.

The relationship with his wife is a huge part of his career. You don't stay married with someone for 50 years unless you truly like each other. I remember a Jimmy Stewart movie where a man asked Stewart's character if he like his daughter, the answer was, yes, I love her. Jimmy said, I didn't ask if you loved her, I asked if you liked her.This June, my wife and I will celebrate our 50th, we do love each other, more importantly, we like each other, we enjoy each other and we are best friends. George has always been true to his Country music, his sport and his family.

Loved George straight since the late ‘80s, when I was lucky enough to be sitting in the front row at a small venue in San Carlos , CA. He looked right in my eyes like he was singing just to me and I was starstruck. ❤️
George is the man who made country cool. His voice, no matter what song is soothing, he doesn't shout the words out at you when he's in concert. He's one of two of my most favorite male country artist of all times. When I heard about his daughter's demise I felt so sorry for him and his family for their loss. There will never be another entertainer like George Strait, he's number one of all times. Congratulations for all your success and entertainment you have given to us all.

To be fair Dean Dillon wrote 90% of George's hits. Along with Larry Boone, Erv Woolsey and Chris LeDoux plus a couple more but only George's voice could make them a hit.

I know he'd never remember it but in 1980, on Sunday afternoon, I got to two-step with George at Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas...just outside of New Braunfels. The next year I was listening to KKYX in San Antonio and they announced a newcomer to country music from Pearsall, Texas by the name of George Strait!!! I sure felt privileged to have had about 2 minutes of two-steppin' with someone who was now a star!!! I've loved his music from that first day in Gruene... there'll never be another George Strait!!! George is a true original, which is rare in the music business, his songs are classic that you can listen to over and over again for decades and they still sound great. George doesn't require all of the modern trappings that the music business considers to be essential to "entertainment", just a guitar and a microphone and you are spellbound by his talent.

I started listening to George Strait in 1981 and fell in love with his music. Then I was fortunate enough to see him in two different concerts. The more I read about him I realized what a great person he was especially with his family. Even through a tragedy their family held strong together. I have never heard another singer like George and I’m sure I never will. I hope he keeps on singing for his faithful fans. Thank you George for making 1981-present wonderful times for me, my friends and my family. You will always be pure country to me.❤️ 🤍💙

Back in 1983 he stopped in Omaha for two sets, on their way to Minnesota State Fair. I had the opportunity to walk him to the stage. I’ve been a huge fan since 1981. He and I shook hands prior to walking him to the stage. I thought it was cool.
George Strait is one of the best singers I’ve ever listened to and his wife is awesome too. She has been a good wife and did good things for him and I’m glad they sucked stuck together.

Having grown up in Boston I was never a fan of country music. I was rock and roll all the way. Until I heard George Strait in the 1990's. I was hooked. His pure voice and emotion touched my heart like music never before. I then started listening to his earlier songs and realized what I had missed. Not only did I learn to love his music, but I also learned to love country and all of the artists of the day. Unfortunately, today's country isn't even close. By the way. I am a 65-year-old guy with 8 grandchildren who is not afraid to admit that country music made me laugh and made me cry. Most of today's country just makes me change the station. Thank you George Strait for opening my eyes and my heart.

I first saw George at The Mule lip Saloon in those early eighty years- him, his wranglers and a stool. Everyone was dancing, I got my own stool and placed it front and center and just listened. I bought him roses form the saloon girl. Over the years I have seen him many many times - always giving roses. I saw him last year in PHX and hope to c him again this June. I am stage 4 metastatic cancer with a supposed short timeline- George's music has been a staple, heartwarming part of my life and memories for many years- he truly is Pure Country.❤

Back in the 1980's he lived down the road from me, I worked at the local bank and met him several times when he came in to do business. He was the nicest person.
My mom used to fly Mr. Straight on a private gulf stream plane back in the early to mid 2000's. She said he was one of the nicest she ever flew regularly. Always nice and just wanted the basics. She really enjoyed flying with him. She said most weren't so nice in real life. Thanks for treating my mom well sir.

George is a humble man . I was raised in pearsall Tx. Where his Daddy Mr. Straight was a teacher . I was maybe 18 years old when I worked at a golden fried chicken in pearsall, and his Daddy would call and order some fried chicken. He would come in and pick it up. He was a little tall, thin man always with a cowboy hat . He was a very respected gentleman. I can see where George took after his dad. I can relate to George and his wife's pain cause I, too, lost my 15-year-old daughter in 2000 as the car she was a passenger went air borne, and she was ejected and killed. I love telling my story about George Straight Daddy . It was an honor just to know a well-respected country singers Dad . We never know who we run into.George and his wife Norma get to share great memories with their loved ones. I would have loved for Mr. Straight to be my math teacher, but I'm blessed and happy to have had met him where I started working when I was 18. I graduated in 1984. Moved away from Pearsall, the town is a small town with great people and lots of great memories. Love his country music.

George Strait has had so much tragedy in his life. Many people share the same misfortune. You either lay down and let the world run over you or you get up and push forward without drugs or a bottle in your hand.

And now have spent nearly 24 years in North Myrtle Beach SC. Behind every successful man is a GOOD Hearted Woman. ❤❤ that’s the truth. Thanks! I’ve loved George Strait for 46 years!!!! He’s a one of the GREATEST COUNTRY SINGERS 💙💙💙💙!!! I love him and his music so much!!!! I married in 1990 when his music was so popular. It always brings back so many fond memories of my mother and my husband to me (his music 🎶). George is so genuine country. I still remember when his daughter was killed in San Marcos. We used to go watch him sing in local honky Tonks . Talk about a thrill of a lifetime-back then we knew he was the real deal. I remember going to bars and rumors flying around George was in the place. He actually lived up the street from me but I didn’t want to bother him so I stayed my distance. He will always be a part of my college/ early life as I know it.

King George is my favorite Country Singer /Songwriter of all time. I used to work in Country Radio in Denver, and was lucky enough to have seen him 3 Times. I think right up there with Chris Ledoux, George is a true blue Cowboy! My favorite song that he's ever recorded and I have many of them is Amarillo By Morning!
I could listen to that song all day. that's my all time favorite song.
