That's a nice set up, needa get this for my truck.
Yes! After a year it still works great!! I was a little worried because people say they slow down over time, but mine hasnt.
When you start the truck does your music start playing automatically or is there some button pressing to make the magic happen?
As soon as the phone is connected it will start playing. If you don't want it to do that you can shut it off in the settings.
Might be something you’ve already heard, but is it able to be hooked up to a subwoofer or 2? Was really wonder if the stock unit would would do the same but I haven’t found anything. great installation guide!
There is an output on the back for a sub. I'm not sure if you can hook it up to more than one.
I have an issue with the same radio where the audio cuts out at volume 28 and it will not play any sound unless I shut the truck off and let it sit for 5 mins and then it’ll play fine.
I have not had this issue as of yet. I would recommend you contact Eonon and see if they can help you.
Was your backup camera origin in the rear view mirror…..and were you able to move it to the radio
Yes, my backup camera was originally in the rear view mirror. Still is for that matter. I have done a fair bit of research on this though. You can purchase a factory wiring harness for a truck with the screen mounted from factory. I believe it would be possible to send the camera feed to the screen if you were to purchase that harness. I have not done it yet but, I intend to try it sometime in the future.
Does enon radio work on satellite channels
I have a couple questions.
Does support slip screen?
Fm stations are the continous the 18 presets? Or do you have to switch from fm1 to gm2 to fm 3 ?
And the steering wheel controls , are they fully customizable?
Thank you for your time
Do you mean split screen? It does support split screen; although; I've never used it. The radio part of the unit works pretty much the same as the factory radio. Yes, it has presets. The steering controls all work with the unit although I'm not sure how customizable they are.
@@BurninGas about the radio stations can you switch all of them continuously without switching from fm1 through fm3?
@@mxcnprnkst1630 yes, you can.
Tha k you man
@@mxcnprnkst1630 That's what I'm here for!
How’s it holding up so far ? I was looking at this or the Q80PRO
It is still doing amazing, I do intend to do one more video with it where I use a Wi-Fi dongle and see if it has internet connection with that. I don't know why it wouldn't but we'll see.
What model Eonon do i need for a 2013 Silverado that steering wheel controls and back up camera will work with. Also with OBD adaptor
Same as the one I got, the R 80. Unfortunately, of you don't have a screen already the Eonon won't conect to your backup camera. If you find the proper harness you should be able to make it work though.
Any alternator whine? That was an issue with past Eonon radios I’ve tried.
No, I haven't heard an alternator whine. But, I'll start listening specifically for that. I'm planning an update video in the next month or so.
@@BurninGas thx
Nice upgrade from factory radio, but did you know you can retain the factory usb plug-in (if you have one) without any adapter... Yup, right under the centre console tray, just unplug the factory usb cable under the centre cupholder area and plug in the usb cable from the radio.
Hey, I have a bench seat but I have a USB plug. Just trace the wire to find the end?
@@poonstomper69 if the truck had a usb plugin already then yes, just follow the cable
I saw on your video that your parking assist is off , is your parking assist still work?
No, it's stopped working about a year after I bought the truck.
Where did you get your radio harness ?
Everything you need to connect it to your truck is included with the radio.
Just installed the Q80PRO into a 2011 GMC Yukon with the Bose Speaker option. All went well until I tried to connect the C connector to the head unit. When I did that, all I got was something that sounded like a ground in all speakers. When I unhook the C connector. The unit works beautifully, but only to the Front Speakers. All the other functions appear to work. Has anyone seen this before?
I would contact Eonon. I'm sure they've delt with every problem you can face with this unit.
I had the same thing, corrected by connecting the rca cables to the back of the unit
Did you buy Metra AX-USB-MINIB USB to MINI B Adaptor Cable ?
No, I don't believe I did. I'd have to double check though.
Ok I have quite a few questions so bare with me here, 1) does your steering wheel Controls still work 2) do you have the backup cameras built into your rear view mirror factory 3) does all your audible warnings still work(backup sensors, onstar, etc.) 4) do your speakers sound better/ louder/cleaner with this radio thanks in advance
1) Yes they do 2) Yes, the backup camera is in my mirror from stock. The radio does come with a plug for the backup camera for if you are installing it in a vehicle which already has a screen. I am sure you could easily swap from the mirror camera to the screen camera with a stock wiring harness. I plan to look into that in the future. 3) Yes all audible warnings still work, although it is through a speaker included with the kit and no longer uses the vehicle speakers. 4) I would say they sound slightly better. The equalizer programed into the radio allows for much more control over the sound, leading to a much better range of sound. It will rock the base in a new way that's for sure!
I'm planning to release a update this month. just going over any pros and cons I've seen with it.
Any update on the rear view camera..?? Thank you
I bought one like this and I installed the original camera, just swapping some wires in the connector.
I have a 2012 silverado with Bose. Are you still happy with your purchase. I’m still debating on what to do
@@jsturgillrn very good product 8/10.
@@sonarfleet2375 does it sound sound good with the factory Bose or connect to the factory Bose?
@@jsturgillrn yes, it’s coming complete including rear camera. I got to use the original camera. I found out the correct wires.
@@sonarfleet2375 awesome sounds great. Thanks for responding and answering questions. Great video
Can you add this head unit to your cell phone plan to have 5G all the time?
No, however, I have come across information that leads me to believe you can use a usb 4g dongle in this radio for a internet connection. I will be testing this in a future video.
Any problems so far? Are you digging it?
No Problems so far. Yes, I love it. The interface is quite simple, very easy to learn and navigate. I hope to post an update in February. I will either link it in this video or add it to this video. Three months should be ample time for any problems to pop up.
What wiring harness did you get
It comes with all the necessary wires.
do you need anything to retain the chimes?
Nope, it even works with the steering wheel controls.
@@BurninGas would the q80 pro work the same?
@@tobyprickles4887 I believe so.
So you lose the ability of having a cd player ?
Yes, unfortunately. I listen to most of my music digitally anyway so, it doesn't matter to me.
@@BurninGas ok i just like having the option but im still looking , thanks
WHY? You keep dragging it on the concrete?!?!?!?!?!
