Update: I somehow never know this, but the "Demo Camera" can actually be achieved in normal gameplay of release SMS. As long as you hold L lightly(only analogue, no digital press), the camera will cling to Mario's back just like it does in the demo!

Australian version of the Sunshine demo disk contains only the Mario Sunshine demo and video, even though it comes with the usual multi-game demo disk layout
4:02 I think this might be an emulator issue. This can happen even when emulating the released version of Sunshine if certain settings aren't configured correctly.
I spent all day trying to look for the iso file so I can play it on my gamecube. After finding it on the internet archive listed as the gamecube demo disk of July 10th 2002. I Have a moded game cube with a chip in the serial port 2 so I could play backups. Just tested it and it's normal on console.

Anyways your genuinely great at editing keep up the good work. (also would love a tutorial on the demo disk I'm real familiar with the base games file system but clueless how the demo disk works and this sort of stuff is right up my alley.)

Super Mario Sunshine is one of my favorite games of all time and I just love prototype and beta things, so this video was very enjoyable for me. I love all kinds of changes and little small details so every one you showed was really cool to look at. I really appreciate the work you did gathering up all these facts and documenting them. I didn't even know there was a Demo disk for this game and the fact that it has slightly different sound effects, just makes me really happy. I love it when new things are discovered in old games. I am for sure subscribing and I can't wait to see what you upload next. Even if you stop making Super Mario Sunshine videos, I'm still going to watch your videos because they are just so fun to watch.
I love the way you edit these videos, and the timestamps are an extremely nice touch. I really hope your channel continues to grow because you deserve it. I make video game remixes using Soundfonts and when I make songs using the Super Mario Sunshine Soundfont, those videos don't seem to get as many views (Not like I get that much to begin with.) so, I guess there's not that many people that like to watch Super Mario Sunshine videos which kind of sucks because Super Mario Sunshine is such a good game. I'm hoping your videos will help grow the Super Mario Sunshine community so more people can be aware of this great game and all it has to offer.

Yeah, I agree. Sunshine is not a perfect game, but I feel that everyone sees it as "The bad mario game." :(
Also, I watched your Barrel videos, and they are so great. I love the part where you stacked all the barrels trying to get through the Secret level. That was awesome.

Barrel stacking my way through the Chuckster Secret is still one of my favorite video game accomplishments ever lmao. BUT, it may soon be topped by some of the absolute crazy workarounds I have to do for the upcoming "SMS But the Floor is Lava" video(Gelato Beach is insane lol).

(btw my new favorite is your Route 10 SMS mix. Not only is super well done, but it's double nostalgic(I grew up and am super fond of Pokémon Gen 5). Sunshine's sound font is weirdly perfect for it!)

I hope me finding this and subscribing so long after makescthis discovery a bit more worth it for you. Sunshine was my first GameCube game. I love it so much. Every little discovery about its development makes me so happy. I closely follow things like Sunburn, Eclipse, i LOVE how much love this game is getting. I just wish my skill were a bit better haha i wanna explore all the Eclipse levels but im stuck at 8 shines currently.

I remembered when I was little I had a dream where I was playing a demo of super Mario sunshine in Walmart And instead of fludd using a water based hover nozzle. He had a propeller which made Mario hover. I remembered in the dream I was whacking the npc with it in ricco harbor. For a long time I actually though that was real. But eventually as I thought about it and looking at beta content over the years I realized it was just a dream.
Really cool. Did you end up writing down the small differences anywhere? They don't seem to be linked in the description.

Hey I was able to play the demo disk on a real console. And the issues you had with the goop, and the camera must be an emulator issue. Because after you said that, I decided to get a copy and play on Swiss on the gamecube. I tested both the're just like the final game.
