      Yeah, it's so true, "drive with your elbows" is the best lat training advice ever, I hear it in my head while training too when I start pulling with all biceps, lol. John is the GOAT of bodybuilding tips/coaching/knowledge.

    Keeping both feet on the floor instead of one knee on the bench is such a game changer. Less twisting, less tension on the low back. And gonna have to try that last tip on extra tension on the lower portion of the lat. Always with us, Mountain Dog.

    John helped me transform my physique completely
    All of my workouts are based on johns complete workouts , i have benefited tremendously from his techniques every single tip he gave us is pure gold
    God knows how many times i watch and keep rewatching his video's again and again .
    every single workout i keep improving and keep getting better and in my mind i hear john keep telling me to push harder .

    Very solid information. I found johns videos about 5 months ago and his advice has helped me change the way I train my back and connect with it. My lats and back have transformed since I started adding his tips for training. John will live on in my thoughts and training.

    I like allowing the db to fully stretch down the lat then pulling it to around my hip keeping a three point stance

    I love John and his work and I would have enjoyed so much I ask him this question : how is sure it is the lower Lats he feels activating in the technique he shows at the end and not just the QL that kicks in by trying to hike the hip up I stead of really pushing the elbow more down. (If it makes sens). I have to try it of course but this was my first thought.

    When I go heavy on one arm rows my back gets a good workout but I have some lower abdomen pain when I go real heavy like 130 or more...so I do other rows now

    What I do is kneel on the bench which Is set on a slight incline saves the lower back too

      You shouldn't kneel on one leg because it could give you hernia, should have both legs on the ground like a tripod

    I never thought to contract the lat during dumbbell rows, I can't really feel my lat at all, it's just all lower back after I'm done with the exercise.. not sure I can even squeeze my lat, I guess I need to work on that mind muscle connection

    I have tried these so many times and I feel like I just can’t feel them working like they do for a lot of people. I just don’t feel it. But I do feel his other back exercises like the meadows row, one arm cable pull down, but these ones I don’t feel. I’ll keep workin at it. Anyone else have a problem with these still?
