I miss being able to do what you do. I've been unable to do it due to a work Related injury caused by another employee at a shop over 4 years.AGo, I enjoy your show and watch what you do. Sometimes it makes me mad because I'm not able to do it anymore. Thank you for your show.
Great vid !! I have a 51 international that Im finally going to start building on in the fall. Just trying to track down a Dodge Cummins donor truck , thanks for the motivation.
Great advice on the prep! So often overlooked. Just to clarify, when you stand on the loud pedal, the pinion goes UP, not down. Either way, shitty welds are a recupe for disaster...
This is the kind of video I've been wanting to see for you guys. I feel like you could easily do more long form content and get more views. It works for vic grip garage.
Steve Darnel. Giving the less than desireable a chance in the world. Truck looks great man! Personally, I've always liked International trucks. Eslecially the 70's pickups...
Great stuff Steve, those old International trucks were the cast offs that only the diehard IH guys like my dad and our family wanted, and your correct IH made some pretty good ones. We even had a IH round top icebox😁Keep em comin and keep crushin it🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
Awesome looking truck. You’ve already transformed this into something unique in a very short time. Your one very talented dude. Looking forward to seeing it completed. Great job Steve👌
Great job guy's. Love it. Can't wait to see it done. Miss watching you guy's build badass rides. Would love to have the skills you have to make something so nice from something so ugly. Love watching you stay safe and keep up the great work.
Bonjour Steve, It is always a great pleasure for me to see you building amazing trucks. As usual, too short video and surprized to see you with a tiny reasonable truck 😁 This airbag system seems easy to install and simple, is it common in USA or reserved for passionate mechanics like you ? Amicalement, Raphaël
Man Steve you have the coolest, may I say junk in the best of ways. That is looking so cool man, you are right about the ugly ones, dress them up and they are very good looking. Can't wait to see it finished. By the way miss the show. Thanks for sharing.
Yehh Mr "WelderUp" you create some works of "MetalArt" on wheels, I wish you had been open the day I was in Vegas and had time to have visited. I like to use a hacksaw from time to time on motorbikes but have never welded, I suppose I watch your show because I wish I. could have welded. Keep up the great "WelderArt" Mr "WelderUp". 😎👌
Great work lads 👍🏻. Most evenings in a city called Norwich In the UK lol I chill and watch the TV show u did most nights wishing my dream will come true one day be there in las Vegas and visit you û welderup just brings a good feeling to me to do what u guy's do is awesome. Will you ever be making anymore TV shows again if u do hopefully I get to watch them over in night
We enjoyed doing Vegas Rat Rods and was disappointed when Discovery Channel canceled us. At this time we have gone to UA-cam and hopefully bring you some of the same content. There are not any plans of returning to TV at this time. Thanks for following along!
Hell yeah Steve that thing looks bad to the bone! Nice fab work on that rear suspension too! I dig them old trucks they certainly don't make them the same these days. I'm stoked to see it finished up. Hell if I lived in Vegas I'd pay you to do some work on my van
This is gona je another great diesel truck built my favorite videos thanks Steve for the great video's hope to see more videos in the Future greetings from Belgium europe 👍💪👍

Question: Will anti-seize on lug nuts make it easy for them to loosen over time from vibrations and bending and twisting and beating rims get? I saw you put something on the lugs if im not mistaken. Anyone?
Yes, it's an Icy. I use it because the lug nuts are steel and the wheels are aluminum. If I don't put it on then it gets hot and melts to the aluminum and causes the metal to stick to the aluminum which then creates a big mess and it will not torque correctly.
i wish someone would do one like this build but it be 4WD and still sit pretty low everyone does them jacked up i know it can't go as low but could still be nice and have the advantage of 4WD
Those truck's are so cool , would love to do one with a V8 in it , but being injured it takes longer to do anything plus be starting a part time job but it's not easy on my body but it will give me the money to finsh some project's and hopefully get the one I want to keep 😊 and then just drive it around 😊👍🏽👊🏼🤙
Love it except I'm not a fan of rubber band tyres. I bought a Hilux ute with a set of 16s on it and it tramtracked on rough bitumen. I went back to 15s with slightly larger profile tyres and it drove perfectly.
Motor Trends channel carry the show here in the US. Depends on which channel in the UK owns the rights and if they decide to air it. Discovery Channel canceled Vegas Rat Rods. We are not in production at this time. Hope you enjoy my UA-cam.
@@WelderUpVegas it was called Sin City Motors, we had it in the UK for years, but then it disappeared. It will probably come back at some point if you're still filming (that's great news)
I love this little truck! It's just right. You don't have to turn everything into an overpowered monster. She's like an old lady who can still kick your ass if you give her shit.
Hey dude, I want to build a log hauling truck. Now, I want to use a 60 to 67 Chevy or GMC C60 but I wanta get rid of the dual speed rear axle and the inline or V6 and drop in a Duramax diesel and Allison 6 speed automatic trans. The rear axle I figured I'd use the rear end from a Topkick with automatic tranny. Anyone think this might work out?
Hi Daniel, When the Discovery Channel canceled our show, some of the crew went back to their jobs before Vegas Rat Rods. Then Covid came along. Now I have a couple of mechanics and fabricators working with me in the shop.
see why your workshops have waiting list...one of the best out there..
Thanks 👍
The drop is sick!!

Damn that’s sad hopefully you get some $ since it wasn’t your fault and maybe one day you can slowly start getting back into it! Best of luck

That's one mighty fine looking Corn Binder. International made some of the best workingman's trucks ever. Can't wait to see the final product.

When I was 9 years old in 60. My gpa taught me how to drive his 47 IH pickup. Kinda a old rusty color with green doors. Was a 6 banger with a 4 speed.

Steve you make old dirty rags to badass vehicles without doing much of anything but improving the ride.

Make sure it's clean and proper penetration is the same thing my wife said.
Very cool build! Have always enjoyed your work. Hard to see everything that you’re doing though. It’s very dark in your shop.
I think the white wheels would make it perfect
Be mint to get some clear roofing on that building, nice work.

Hello Steve, I have a question. What automatic transmission exactly did you use on the international?
Id love to have a service truck like that.

I got the number wrong steve it's 406 garage his name is Ben and he is up in Oregon and he has some awesome internationals
COOL Truck
How do you determine what vehicle frame will work on these older vehicles. I’ve seen people use mopar frames and s-10.
Yes, both of those will work.

exactly!

Ka nice!😊
Awesome
Are they Slam Specialties Bags? And what size air line? 1/2"?
3/8 inch airlines and the airbags are just an air ride.
I want it!
Where did you find those wheels? I'm putting a kb8 cab on a 96 Dodge chassis and the client is looking for some wheels just like those.
Sick af. Lucky you didn't have to notch the rear frame. Lol
HOW DO YOU SET RIDE HEIGHT? ARE YOU USING A HEIGHT CONTROLL OR IS IT JUST PRESSURE.
Do you still film for the TV show? I can't seem to find it in the UK anymore 😢

Hey Steve always good content, sorry for my ignorance but what happened to the rest of the crew? I'm obviously in the dark!
Hi Daniel, When the Discovery Channel canceled our show, some of the crew went back to their jobs before Vegas Rat Rods. Then Covid came along. Now I have a couple of mechanics and fabricators working with me in the shop.
Pinion goes up under throttle, not down
Shouldn't the rear axle housing have been sanded clean to properly weld the ladder bars on in the first place? Seems a waste of time to go backward.
