Well said, kids today as so disconnected to reality, I think you are doing an amazing thing for the past where thing just started for out kids who didn’t appreciate it
What a joy to see what you are up to. Being a retired auto shop teacher I'm thrilled to see you build a school that would also include living back in the day: water from a well, eating fruit off of the tree, building a wood fire in the stove, doing chores before going to school, and to get a feel of the days that built America. The engine that started my interest in mechanics was a single cylinder Fairbanks and Morse that would power the well when the wind died. We took apart the wood water tank by loosening the band that held the planks together and numbering each plank with spray paint. Hauled the whole thing to our farm in Nipomo California and put it back together. It is still there and working to this day. That single cylinder engine is in a home made tractor that my dad and I made from an old car. My dad was a welder in the Navy for 28 years so fabrication was a love of my life. I will watch and cheer you on in this new chapter of your life!
Steve,.have you ever met Eustace from the TV show Mountain Men? I think you'd get a kick out of visiting his place, if the tv show is at all accurate of the property's portrayal. I'll be here watching your project move forward, love this plan!

All the old home's where I live are being bulldozed, and they're not that old, in favour of new shoe boxes. The new one's really are a blight on the landscape compared to what you're looking at out there.

It's great to see your interest in bringing back some of the history of Goodsprings. It's such a cool little town. If you ever interested in exploring some of the old mines in the area, I'd be glad to take you through a couple of them that are close by. (Or I can send underground photos and videos of them.) The miners pulled a LOT of zinc & lead (and a bit of gold) out of the hills around town. They really are quite amazing. There was a narrow gauge railroad that hauled ore from the Yellowpine mine down to a railhead in Jean. Of course there was a mill just outside of town that processed ore from some of the other local mines. So much history in the area. 👍
I would appreciate hearing the history and knowledge you have of the area. If you would send this message off to my office info@welderup.com giving contact information. Thanks

I've always liked your projects , and I'm really digging this side of you coming out , back in the day , the word 'cool' didn't even exist , and you are going back in time and taking everything that they built out of necessity and putting a modern 'cool' twist on every part of it , which is beyond 'cool' , it's ' bad'acid ' man ...
Amazing Steve, I can't wait to see all the changes and ideas you have for your new adventure, and when it's all up and running, roll on part 3 😍👏💯🏴. Work hard and achieve what you set out to do only way to get things do, ❤👏💯🏴 .
LoL every time I roll through the desert I don't like it but you sir make me think it's a good idea. My wife has severe R. A. Thinking the climate at the end of ours lives my be good
This is first time I’ve seen any of your stuff since the television show which I believe was canceled, so I only know anymore than what you’re presenting in this video but I like the sound of it. I would’ve really liked to have done something similar myself but I don’t think I’m gonna get there in this lifetime. I pretty much lost everything taking care of a parent with ALZ for 10 years and than a foreclosure sale in the house I’ll I have is most of my tools and equipment and a tiny camper and Jeep that the bank owns. What that was my dream as well.
Our show, Vegas RatRods was canceled. We loved doing the show. Appreciate you following me on UA-cam. You made the ultimate sacrifice to make your parents life more comfortable. Hopefully things will get back on track.
Hey Steve great place I’m from Australia I would love to come up your way and be apart of your lovely property love to do your welding school and learn lots of other skills I’m 52 years old your never to old to learn new things in life I would love to be part of this awesome journey ❤

Steve Darnell, I think this is an awesome project. I guarantee I'll stop out in Goodsprings and check it out. I'm gonna enjoy this channel. My daughter and I bought a house here in Flint Michigan that was built in 1843 and she wants to restore and walk through the house, just takes you back in time
Super neat! I love old mining towns and the history in them! One of my favorite places to go in Arizona was a little mining town up in the Bradshaw mountains north of Phoenix called Crown King! It’s totally the Wild West!
IM ON DISABILITY AND I RENT FROM MY FRIEND IN HIS BASEMENT. AND 85% I BUILT MY KIT AND ROOM WITH IS RECLIMED STUFF AND ITS COOL AS FUCK!!! I GOING LOVE THIS SHIT YOUR GOING BE DOING DUDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steve, great vid! If you want to save the willow tree you have to occasionally " top it " because they have a tendency to overgrow from the top killing the tree below .Also keep it away from septic systems ,their roots will go 599 feet searching for H2O .
I'm not sure if Goodsprings counts a being in the desert, but the landscape there looks amazing. And steeped in so much history, it must be such a cool property to own. Good luck with it all.
Steve, your vision is amazing. And I couldn't agree with u more on how everything has and is changing for the worst. There's no work ethic or pride anymore, disgusting. We all have to do more to bring it back and this is your way. Thank you so much for sharing this project, and being you, sharing your vision. 👍👏
I believe that all this is the answer that some of us find to get into a simpler time and life style that is very much needed in our country now. The values that have been set aside is really shameful but not forgotten by a few that are willing and able to re start again. Blessings ya'll from a very jealous patriot.😂
I’m 52 and live in the mountains of NC,but have been thinking about a change. Do you need a ranch hand. I have 5 or 6 cool cars and a wife of 33 years. I think every thing your doing there is going to be bad ass. I love old towns. Atlanta Asheville and Greenville is my city’s and pigeon forge TN is our rod run town. But Steve every thing these days are going sideways. I work mobile mechanic and landscaping. Road house 66 was always a movie favorite of mine and I’ve always wanted to come see your state. Can’t wait to see your town. I need your welding school. I’ve never got good at it mainly because I’ve self taught. Well if you ever come to the Carolinas I will show you around!!! Bye
I sure will, I would love to see your part of the US. If your interested in the welding course leave your information at info@welderup.com. Our part of Nevada is completely different from yours, but Las Vegas is a must see. Pass the strip and 20 miles out South, you will find me.
Supercool ❤ nothing like a good change, change is healthy…it’s all apart of growth and development my friend. Sure would love to stop by a few days in the town and check it out, learn the history and enjoy the experience.
I've been considering a move to Goodsprings for over a year now, I've been on the fence since the nearest hardware, auto parts stores and major shopping is over 25 miles away, that would get old quick I think. On the other hand it's close proximity to Vegas makes it kinda desirable still.
Very cool I was in New Brunswick years ago and they gathered up all the old buildings around the Provence and made an old Acadia town. Some of those buildings went back to the 17 hundreds. To go into the town we had to park outside the gate and take a horse drawn wagon in. The town had shops and all of the town was ran like it was back in the 17/18 hundreds. It was very cool. Your vision for such a town would sure be a blast from the past.
Very cool Steve can’t wait maybe me and my girl will stop by sometime and check it out and if your theater will say hello but on ow we are behind you on this historic journey!😎👍🏻🇺🇸🦅🙏😇🇺🇸
so cool. i just helped getting a 1935 1 1/2 ton ford running and driving after being parked for 70 year.i got to drive it in a 4 of july parade,it now lives at william s hart part in newhall ca, so iam all in on this channel, good luck
Very cool what you're doing. It must be something to do with getting older because I'm reverting back to a minimalist lifestyle. I'm processing the apples from my orchard for the first time since I bought my place 10 years ago.
The day you stop dreaming is the day to pack it up in my view! You definitely have a great sense of direction and it will be great once you get just a little done so then you can see the bigger picture. We are the same age and I still dream big. I know my body isn't that of a 25 year old but I accept that. 3 years ago I sold up and moved from the town where I grew up in and moved to the edge the Lake District in England which is my dream. Just an old land settlement cottage with a little land and garage so now just making it ours. It's also on my list to come and visit you! Take care.
I designed and built over 50 homes and countless remodeling jobs and additions and now at 62 started a business restoring classic cars, never too late to reset.

Thank you so much, means a lot to hear that!
I've always liked your projects , and I'm really digging this side of you coming out , back in the day , the word 'cool' didn't even exist , and you are going back in time and taking everything that they built out of necessity and putting a modern 'cool' twist on every part of it ,
which is beyond 'cool' ,
it's ' bad'acid ' man ...
Thank you so much, I appreciate your comment! Cool and bad acid. I like it!
The old ways of doing things Amazes me Keep on getting on
Dude you are one of a kind. Love following you. Can’t wait to see it. You definitely are very talented in what you do. Thanks for sharing this
I appreciate that! Thanks for following along!!
You ARE living the dream. Really happy for you - love your vision and the plans you have all worked out in your head...
I look forward to seeing your progress!
Amazing Steve, I can't wait to see all the changes and ideas you have for your new adventure, and when it's all up and running, roll on part 3 😍👏💯🏴.
Work hard and achieve what you set out to do only way to get things do, ❤👏💯🏴 .
Awesome Steve what you going to do I am sure it will be something spectacular.
LoL every time I roll through the desert I don't like it but you sir make me think it's a good idea. My wife has severe R. A. Thinking the climate at the end of ours lives my be good
Come for a couple of weeks, see if it can help her.
I can’t wait to see it rebuilt, I lov your vision 👍🏻 blessings!!
Keep up with your good work in Good Spring,NV.
I love you brother. Keep up the good work.
Going back in time, awesome.
Hey Steve great place I’m from Australia I would love to come up your way and be apart of your lovely property love to do your welding school and learn lots of other skills I’m 52 years old your never to old to learn new things in life I would love to be part of this awesome journey ❤
That's right! Never too old to learn, when your ready contact my office at into@welderup.com They will give you the information you need. Thanks so much for following along. Love Australia but you must see Vegas.
Up here in Washington we have quail they are so neat to watch how the male gets on the high ground to watch over the flock.
Man I'm jealous that is paradise if you need workers I'll move there.
That sounds so cool! Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks for watching!
Lifetime 50 years in Vegas and I haven’t been to Goodsprings but you know I’m gonna get out there once Steve gets established
I hope you do. It is an easy drive, and the Pioneer has great Hamburger's. It is going to take me a couple of years. Hope to see you then.
Very cool Steve, I see your vision. I just wish I lived nearby to help you restore this area rich in history.
Steve Darnell, I think this is an awesome project. I guarantee I'll stop out in Goodsprings and check it out. I'm gonna enjoy this channel. My daughter and I bought a house here in Flint Michigan that was built in 1843 and she wants to restore and walk through the house, just takes you back in time
That is something I would enjoy. Lots of satisfaction when completed.
Looking forward to this......
Everybody and anybody can find a little peace and a little fun out there. Don't forget the baseball diamond.....
Super neat! I love old mining towns and the history in them! One of my favorite places to go in Arizona was a little mining town up in the Bradshaw mountains north of Phoenix called Crown King! It’s totally the Wild West!
Oh, hell yes, this is gonna be a blast!😆
Great project can’t wait too see the progress.
From the uk
Good to know, Thanks!
I'm not sure if Goodsprings counts a being in the desert, but the landscape there looks amazing. And steeped in so much history, it must be such a cool property to own. Good luck with it all.
Thanks, appreciate you following along.
Goodsprings looks like a beautiful oasis in the desert. Amazing property
Steve, your vision is amazing. And I couldn't agree with u more on how everything has and is changing for the worst. There's no work ethic or pride anymore, disgusting. We all have to do more to bring it back and this is your way. Thank you so much for sharing this project, and being you, sharing your vision. 👍👏
You're Welcome and thank you!
Dang man, this is so cool. I am happy for you, and good luck.
""RIGHT ON "" !!!! Is your Boys gona HELP with their future living ?? Lots to look & learn for sure !!! Hope ALL works out for you & Family !! 👍👍👍👍👍
Supercool ❤ nothing like a good change, change is healthy…it’s all apart of growth and development my friend. Sure would love to stop by a few days in the town and check it out, learn the history and enjoy the experience.
Absolutely!! Give me a couple of years and I should be up and running. Thanks for following along.
I've been considering a move to Goodsprings for over a year now, I've been on the fence since the nearest hardware, auto parts stores and major shopping is over 25 miles away, that would get old quick I think. On the other hand it's close proximity to Vegas makes it kinda desirable still.
My thoughts exactly!
It’s definitely a lot of work. But the right guy is going to make it happen. Good luck Steve . Wife and I will come visit when it’s done.
Please do!
Very cool
I was in New Brunswick years ago and they gathered up all the old buildings around the Provence and made an old Acadia town.
That I would love to see and experience. It could take me a lifetime but hope to leave some history behind me.
Looking forward to this series! 💪👍🏼 very cool.
Very cool Steve can’t wait maybe me and my girl will stop by sometime and check it out and if your theater will say hello but on ow we are behind you on this historic journey!😎👍🏻🇺🇸🦅🙏😇🇺🇸
Thanks much!
so cool. i just helped getting a 1935 1 1/2 ton ford running and driving after being parked for 70 year.i got to drive it in a 4 of july parade,it now lives at william s hart part in newhall ca, so iam all in on this channel, good luck
It is a great feeling isn't it? Pure satisfaction!
@@WelderUpVegas i really think that older cars have souls
Some great work you do, will be following from Oklahoma
You got a lot of work to do! My God Bless You
Check out the Okie Windmiller to get your windmills restored.
Very cool what you're doing. It must be something to do with getting older because I'm reverting back to a minimalist lifestyle. I'm processing the apples from my orchard for the first time since I bought my place 10 years ago.
I think you could be right!
Awesome, please keep the old cars and trucks original they are getting so hard to come by. Cant wait to see what you do in goodsprings.
Thanks for coming along Larry!
Take care.
Sounds like your dreams come true, it also sounds wonderful. In a couple of years, I hope to be ready for you to come see my dream.
Years ago I was true Goodsprings. Love those old towns towns. Might have to stop by and see what you got going on!
I'll be there!
