@@EverTheFractal The mirror creature is most likely genderless. Riz probably just gave it a gender in the moment. I haven't gotten to the nightmare forest yet, but I presume its probably the same thing going on.

In sophomore year half his story was about overcoming the fear that all his friends would leave him for romantic partners, which is an incredibly common aro anxiety. he has not gone "I'm aroace" but tbh he's better rep than some characters who have

@@connorp3618 "off that alone"... my dude its like the majority of his character arc in s2. people claim characters are canonically straight or gay/bi/trans off way less evidence - and I'm not saying they're wrong, to be clear, but many people only have a problem with it when it comes to other identities. In terms of aro/ace headcanons, yes, often the basis is "this character never actually expresses interest in anyone." and that's fine if thin evidence, but as I said this is... not the case here anyway. riz is actively uncomfortable. and given I can count the number of 100% canonically aspec characters I know of on my hands... let aspec people declare whoever they want to lol, it's not hurting anyone. have a nice day
@@loricality not saying it's hurting anyone i just don't see why people always declare characters as this or that when it's not actually a thing like two male characters that are close "they must be gay" or a character that doesn't show intrest in any relationships in the short time they are on screen must be ace frankly i think it makes sense for his character ace or not to not really be bothering with relationships since he's really focused when it comes to solving mysteries. He seems like the type to put his head down and not bring it up untill the work is done now that's not saying he is ace but it's also not saying that he couldn't be ace my point is i'm not sure why people like to label things that are very clearly undefined nor bring sexual orientation into things for no reason (typed on mobile so ignore any typos and such)

It's fun watching the players react. Emily's shudder, Murph's going look of disgust. Siobhan upright horror face. Ally Beardsley's weird looks flipping between delight and disgust. And probably most disturbing Zac Oyama and Lou seeming to be mellow and enjoying, only to have those visceral physical reactions at the end.
What goes on in Brennan’s head? Dude goes from haha fun times to WTF 3000.

@@lesserr6 I think Brennan is clever enough to have taken the 'I have a girlfriend in the Baronese' which is this worlds version of 'I have a girlfriend in Canada.' and took it to its comedic extreme. The expression used to be code for confirmed bachelors back in the day as well.

Just saying, the first I watched this I was genuinely terrified, alone, in my office, working a little late and binging fantasy high and then this piece of eldritch horror just drops out of Brennan's mouth and into my consciousness. I was just like, nope, peace out y'all *chucks dueces* I'm done

Wouldn't there be an easy way to overcome this nightmare being (never saw fantasy high so im not sure but based on what baron and riz said i think this would work)? Telling more lies to make baron more real and grounded in riz's favor. It is what baron wants, so work it in your favor. When prompted to do whatever he wants couldn't riz ask to make a call? "Hey Fabian, its the ball. Im leaving the clue on my desk. I just caught up with my romance partner Baron and may not be avaliable for a while. He is so sweet and kind always going out of his way to protect me and keep me safe. we are going to get ice cream maybe do some dancing after. Oh don't worry Fabian, baron's a loving being, a great spellcaster, and would never purposely hurt me. How about you grab your romance partner and we have a double date. I really want to show off my man... sorry romance partner" Boom. Party knows Riz is in danger, well Fabian but he can let the others know. Baron has more lies that he (and dm Brendan) must abide by. And even if brendan improvs danger for riz, baron must try to help riz and keep him safe without harming him. Also Baron gets to go get ice cream and the others could catch up and do a "double date" to ensure riz's safety.
Fair points, except that Baron isn't just a manifestation of Riz's lies, but a manifestation of his worst fears of being forever alone. The next time Riz meets Baron he's forced to confront those fears. That would happen either way, whether Baron is constrained to the lies Riz tells or not

How do you get these really clean recordings? There’s a part of the series I want to clip but i don’t want the progress bar or other stuff popping up
For this one I used the Clipgrab app on my computer, and downloaded the whole source video, and then I edited it down to this clip in Adobe Premiere.
For free mobile editing (with potentially slightly less high quality, may not look as good on big screens), you can also use AZ screen recorder to record on mobile/tablet, or your phones/tablets native screen recorder, if it has one, with do not disturb mode on while recording, and then edit and export the screen recording file using the CapCut app. Here's a vid I made using the mobile way (CapCut also has cool caption options for accessibility): ua-cam.com/video/pa33zWvSe3M/v-deo.html. Murph hadn’t been there for the previous episode, where Brennan narrated some things that had happened to Riz. This scene is Murph actually rp-ing those scenes, and therefore had to act as if he didn’t know the danger within the mirror.
