When Murph takes off his glasses and puts his head in his hands when another party member makes a batshit decision

Gilear becoming the chosen one actually gives a really nice moral to a story about a group of teenagers:
You don't have to be young when you find greatness - be patient and your time will come.
Unfortunately if you get it old, that greatness will be quickly undermined and you’ll wind up worse than ever.
Fig's realization that she killed her dad and her losing her mind as everyone else is talking is glorious.

I really hope he is the chosen one. But as a DM myself...I know what it's like when your players decide to do something like... kidnap a goblin and force them to join the party.
Or when they decide to adopt an axe beak egg and make plans to train and ride it
Or when they seduce the rising sun and roll a nat 20 so now the sun goddess is dtf
Or when they save a random rat and then somehow it becomes the God of honour killings.
This happened with my first character pick pocket went wrong and I end up as a slave to a party member
I tried to "kidnap" (just forcibly drag along to ensure they didn't get back on a death machine) a gnome. I was solidly admonished by the rest of my party. That gnome proceeded to die from a mimic, and I make sure to rub that in my partys face frequently
