    Number of ways,
    1. the natural depth of the snare
    2. a loose batter head
    3. loose snare wires, means you get more shell sound.
    4. D "All The Above"

Sorry to say, but If you're going to assault the senses, something that the modern rock format was designed to do, the least you can offer is some insights, or show your audience something OTHER than all the time you spent practicing your instruments. Unless it's all about inputs of time and labor and easily quantifiable results and little else. So here's a small insight for you, know what an opamp is right? The little component in amplifiers that boosts voltage of your musical instrument? Works by electromagnetic windings right? Always prone to electromagnetic or radio frequency interference (that means through the air), especially if not properly SHIELDED, or if deliberately targeted in some way. A real handy device in all sorts of ways, like affecting blowouts on stage maybe? A Godsend for the wide range of interest groups who have a stake in the club circuit and entertainment industry, and society at large really. From trade unions, to business conglomerates, to special interest groups (like religious orgs), to law enforcement and government regulators interested in enforcing certain social and economic codes. Especially relevant because of the wide range of activities that have always been known, or have been speculated to revolve around these venues. From money laundering, to drug activity and other forms of vice allegedly, to inter-racial mingling and trans-cultural, class-free socializing. So that tiny little device inside every little amplifier is really not anything you want to take for granted. Not when it's capable of affecting everything from businesses going under, to stalled shows, to insurance payouts, to maybe even a little riot or two! Once you've congregated a large group together and things don't go their way right? As pretext anyway, although such mob activity would probably have political as well as economic implications/applications (like consequence of one group moving into another's territory). Although even if such things have happened in the past, and remain a fact of life in certain parts, such malicious acts would be impossible to trace when virtually every level of society would have some set of interests to forward or protect, and the only question becomes how far each group is willing to go. More so when the collusion is large scale, across multiple sectors within a market place. from credit companies to importers and dealerships maybe. Then it becomes as easy, or as willy, as sending out just the right piece of equipment to just the right business premises, like a microwave oven with a dodgy transformer that's going to interfere with that opamp remember? One neat little trick that heavy hitters were known for, is singling out individuals from the musician crowd (maybe someone without the proper credentials or affiliations, MOUs between nations) and them blackballing them. I.e. Getting them on stage with a contract and then affecting the kind of blowout I talked about, so that the organizers can lean on the person for compensation. Placing them in debt and forcing them to work without pay, or else offering to have them work off the debt by delivering a parcel or two, with airplane tickets and hotel stay thrown in for free, if you know what I mean. Is that really how societies and market places operate? Ours? You tell me
