Hi Nene, I hope that the Notary didn't have a false witness. In most cases nothing ever happens because it's not often that the notary or their journal is audited.
I can't tell you what happens if the Notary has a false witness and has to prove it... because I've never experience this situation.☺️

I work for a mortgage company and I double check closing documents... I alwayssssss see missing signatures on the 1003 and the 92900. They did currently change to new formats so I think that’s why they’re being missed. But the new formats require more than one signature.
And YES the 1040 tax returns lol that’s another always missed 😄

On the new 1003 other than the initials and the signature pages are you saying there is an additional place that needs to be signed?
@@YouSaySoMobileNotary there is sometimes 2 places for signatures even if it’s only one borrower. Not counting the LO signature page. They are different page totals on the new ones. Also the 92900 HAS to get a signature on page 1. That’s another that’s also constantly missed.

Hi Michelle great video- Why on some docs you asked her not to date?
Hello, not all documents require dates.🙂 I remind them to date or not to date. For example the Note doesn't always require a date and if the signers add a date they will need to resign via a clean copy. (Notes and Deeds cannot have corrections made to them - other than the Venue)

Michelle...I am a new agent and was told to sign the Notary Journal each time I notarize a new page. Is that correct? Thank you!
Welcome and Congratulations. It really depends on the type of journal you have if you are talking about each new page in the loan package.
YOu didn't cover the other entries in your journal which is private info and not for everyone's eyes
Each page in the journal is for the specific signer... no need to cover anything.🤗
It would have been helpful if you announced the name of ALL of the documents while you're describing what the document is meant for.

Hi, You would need to read the Notary instructions. I never take them out of order with the exception of the Disbursement Form/voided check I return on top.

Do the lenders in your area you have signings require ID's be photoraphed? The trend I've heard these days as of 8/12/2021 is the some do not want or ask anymore.
I am required to send a copy of the ID with the packet or upload it to the Signing Service’s portal
I'm brand new and haven't received my commission as of yet but studying for LSA certification but do you need to perform a notarial act by sworning before you begin or is that not needed for refi etc

Looks like the CD- Closing Disclosure
The Settlement Statement is the 1st document that I introduce to the Borrower.
I don't know how you can explain all those documents like that. What do you recommend for someone who is not that comfortable with each document?
