Both young ladies clearly have incredible talent, spending years perfecting their craft, without question. Not to diminish or demean Faith at all; I have to say Paulina "Pau Pau" is simply on an entirely different level. There's just something about her style. She packs a powerful punch within that tiny frame. Sent shivers down my spine. I understand now why they call her the "Shredder": having seen her calmly reach for a new stick, after demolishing one, without missing a beat. Without a doubt perhaps they upset her, or slighted her in some minor fashion; whatever the case may be, those drums certainly deserved a good beating! Pau I understand also composes most of The Warnings tunes and sings lead on a number of songs? I love that raw, raspy, rock n roll voice of hers when she wants. You can't imagine how difficult it is to sing while keeping accurate time. That's just astounding! It's so rare. An amazing talent indeed that comes along once in a generation. Still it was quite a pleasure to watch both young ladies' performance.
So many comments here from non-drummers making judgments on these two wonderful drummers. No, Paulina is not sloppy. No, the vid is not sped up. No, they are not competing against each other. Each drummer plays in a band each with different roles within their bands, so their styles are very different, so how can anyone make a proper comparison and judge who did better here? Faith takes a different approach, she’s compact and neat, like a jazz drummer. Pau is a consummate rockstar and her style demands that you look at her in awe, case in point: check the sequence starting at 1:23; would anyone here like to replicate what Paulina did, at her speed and power?
Crimson apple chose to be more poppy and faith can definitely pull off a rock drummer .Pau shakes the earth with her hitting but this was 5 years ago and she has perfected her drum skills .
I have stood 25 feet in front of Pau playing with The Warning. She's a force of nature, with more complicated elements put just where they need to be to support her songs. She and Ale caved my head in. Faith seems to play more in the fusion style - lots of syncopations between the beats. I admire this style for the skills and execution required, but prefer the heavy rock sound of Pau.
I agree, I saw open for Three Days Grace in Laval and I couldn’t believe how loud the girls were (even louder and more powerful than 3DG which is rare for an opener)
I am thoroughly impressed ,these two are the epitome of enthusiasm and passion, I have to get back to the drawing board and learn how to hit like a girl.Cheers.

Damn! Very good collaboration. I’m not familiar with either of them, so I was interested in checking out both of their playing styles. Both are fun to watch. Not sure who’s who, but the one on our left not only plays well, but I dig her hard hitting energy too. But the part that I repeated around 10 times was the fill and beat that the girl on the right came in with at 3:49 . It was slick, funky and fit the part brilliantly. They complimented each other well here.

Faith had won the previous year in the 18 and under, i believe. But, checkout Paulina's band. It is a 3 piece Hard rock power trio called The Warning!! They are incredible
It's funny how they are both so different in their reaction on how they play... Pau is so into it with the mouth open, tongue, tight lips and body all over...Faith is more like calm and relax..Yea I am in the zone enjoying this.
If anyones watched Pau with The Warning,then you know there is no comparison.Originally saw this video several months back,and its still good to see Pau play something a little out of her comfort zone (thats if she has one). Hey,there may be technically more proficient female drummers out,but NONE can compare to the ferocity,and eye appeal of watching Pau play...in my opinion,there's no female drummers out there (and a lot of male drummers)who can compare to Pau.Hell,she's only 18,and can only get better.

I remember a story Neil Peart told about something a mentor told him. It was along the lines of, you can learn the technical side of drumming but to be a great drummer you have to develop your style of playing. Here we see two technically great drummers but each with their own style.

Please don't compare Faith and Paulina. Pau was a jury there and Faith's won the competition. It's like comparing a professor and the best student... even though they may be the same age... Still, Pau is on a different level. Talent one in a million .
I don’t know why fans of either drummer can make any differences between their drumming. Faith has a very elegant more like jazz style, and PAU has a real rock style. But it doesn’t mean that either can’t play the others style.
If you look at the recent videos of The Warning, you’ll see that Pau has only gotten better. It’s even more impressive that she can play the way she does and sing at the same time. I wish I had her level or drive, determination, and dedication to the amount of practice it takes to do what she does as well as she does.
I understand that it wasn’t a competition but, although both girls were great, Pau was the clear winner. And who said she was sloppy? Looked really clean and precise to me.
Love the work and craft these two are putting on here - also love the Cobham-like polyrhythms; Hope Billy has a chance to check both musicians out sometime...

Two talentive young drumers
Both are talented drummers. I only pick Pau because I am a Warning fan. Faith is a fantastic drummer in her own right.
