"Why women aren't attracted to gamers" - If a woman can't find you attractive in spite of whatever your hobbies are, then she simply isn't worth your time. A man should never feel his worth is dependent on a woman's approval anyway.
I find it funny that women think men playing video games is childish and a waste of time, but them spending all day on Facebook uploading pics with dog ears isn't.
I’m a 40 y/o man. I have a wife, three kids, own my home, two masters degrees, 22 year active duty Naval Officer... and I play my PS4 whenever the heck I want to. I could care less what someone says about my hobbies. Life is really good when you have this perspective.
@kleo kleo I think just the ones who make gaming their entire life with no interests, hobbies, or career outside of gaming, which is a very small percentage of all those who play. Most of the guys I've known and worked with that are around 30 or younger game to some extent. However, for them it is a hobby. We chat about it, but they have other interests, just like I do. They have been highly professional guys, who just happen to enjoy gaming as a hobby and are happy to discuss them with anyone else who has the same hobby.
"Men don't care what women do as long as they're hot." Had a woman I was with once argue with my friends that ISIS were the good guys. Had to let that one go... quickly.

I'm 55 and i love gaming. That started a few years ago when i decided i needed to get closer to my teen age son. I thought it would be very health try to understand why he liked so much gaming. And i discovered a new world. We are pretty much closer since then. We build high end pcs, we enjoy talking about new gamings, new hardware (gpus, cpus etc). And i don't care what people think about it.
Got into gaming myself because of my dad (he'd be 63 now if he were still with us). He bought our NES back in 1987 when I was 5 years old and we only ever fought over stuff like whose turn it was to play. But I enjoyed watching him and we 100% Zelda and Dragon Warrior together and a few other games. Good times!
I'm a woman in her 50s. Pong came out when I was around 8. I've been a gamer all my life. I married a man who's a gamer. We often game together. Screw what anyone else thinks. ;)
I totally agree my friend!! But gaming shouldn´t be a reason for a woman to not like you, at least if you keep it at normal levels!! My wife doesn´t particularly like my gamer side butshe accepts it because it is a part of who I am!!
I am 35 and I love gaming, I love my man and we have the same hobbies so we are a match! Gaming is awesome, you can be a hero without physically hurting yourself! It's an amazing hobby for a stress outlet!
I wouldn't even say specific hobby, I'd just say "a certain form of entertainment." It's the same reason I don't call watching TV all the time a hobby.
My older sister who is in here 50's and grew up playing Atari 2600 and owned a GBA in early 2005 had the nerve to tell me last year that playing video games was for children and that I should grow up instead of wasting my time. Now while she said this to me, she was on her phone playing a Facebook game. I looked at her like she was stupid and then I told how stupid she sounded because she was playing a game too. Her reply was that it was an adult game and it is on Facebook not on a console. Some older people don't get that they are gaming, it doesn't matter what platform or what genre/type you are playing, gaming is gaming.
I'm also 37, and I remember having to hide my gaming magazines at school in folders and textbooks lol It was especially bad because at the time I thought I was the only female in the entire school that was into gaming, none of my female friends played. I still play games to this day, never ever "grew out of it". Of course I married a man who was just as obsessed as me, and we have 2 daughters 6,and 8 who fight over the PS4!! Me and my husband both have our own gaming PCs, it's a huge part of my life and I know if I ever get to age 70, I'm still gonna be playing :)
Them: "Games are a waste of time and childish." *Proceeds to binge watch Netflix for 4 hours straight, while browsing facebook and not even watching.* At least you can interact with thestory in a video game and engage, versus staring at a t.v. for hours.

@@geminifreestyle3697 , Women hit something called "the wall" at around the age of 26, their looks start to fade and their ability to have children decreases, no amount of cream can stop it either so good luck with that.
I married a gamer. Almost all of our gamer friends from high school are also married or getting married soon. They've all been in these relationships for years and at least half for almost 2 decades. SO, to say they're happily married is an underestimate. Our gaming nights tend to be excessively crowded and approaching standing room only. lol... Why would you want to be married to someone who looks down their nose at the things you enjoy when there are plenty of women out there who would be supportive and even game with you? You're just going to be miserable being married to someone who acts snooty toward you.
It's either low self esteem or people being impatient feeling like marriage is an obligation and gives off that "I made it" status without fully considering whom they're slapping a ring on. In short, emotional insecurities make people stupid.

@@doomguy255 But mentally she is more of a typical boomer mentality! Or id even say early Gen-Xer, as many people from my generation looked down on Videogames as well. Though, i am at the very tail end of GenX born 1980! Year of the EMPIRE STRIKES BACK :D !!! Man i loved that era!
It's not even all boomer women, it's one woman who is biased because of a bad personal experience. You do realize the woman who wrote and directed some of the most successful games on PS3 -> the Uncharted series (Amy Hennig is an American video game director and script writer, formerly for the video game company Naughty Dog) is a boomer herself.
I refuse to pretend to be something I am not, I never once hid the fact I loved gaming and collected rooms full of it. Then I got married to someone that also loved gaming. I am who I choose to be.
Callum this is where is come and say I agree if she doesn’t have respect for you and what you enjoy and the same goes with if the man doesn’t respect the woman and what she likes then maybe they aren’t meant to be together no matter how they look if respect isn’t there then there isn’t love

This is absolutely true. Most hobbies are not productive, they're generally used to de-stress or get away from the other aspects of their lives. Generally, the people who are the most critical are the ones that see nothing wrong with playing candy crush for hours.
@@merlinparache1681 I wouldn't say 'any', but I agree. Plus you can find productivity in other forms of entertainment like comics, movies and video games. Thankfully it's not so black and white. If only more people understood that...
Gaming is no different in that sense from any other leisure activity (but of course we gamers do know there is more to gaming in terms of depth and value than most other entertainment choices, IMO it's on par with reading a good book), playing a game like Assassin's Creed Origin or Odyssey could enrich anybody and teach them a lot about life during those periods even with all the fantastical elements, it's like a vitual guided tour through those eras, to many better than any book or museum which might bore some people who aren't experts in the field, there is reason Origin had a tour mode added to it which explains and showcases a lot of things about Ancient Egypt and it is being used as an additional tool to teach history in some places.
Somewhat related topic: No guy I have ever dated thought it was crazy that I have an INSANELY HUGE Star Wars collection, even a few have liked that about me even though I didn't tell them that right off the bat.
I can't believe there's still stigma like this in 2019. People don't call movie fans "filmers" or TV fans "televisioners". I always play games WITH my girlfriends and if some woman was gonna make snap judgments about one of my interests then she's too narrow minded to even pay any attention to!
ducknet can’t believe it either man, pretty much everyone I know plays games to some degree. Gta came out and everyone was playing it guys and girls. Granted I’m 24, not 40 but still. Feel like he made this video bringing his sister on as if she speaks for all women, when in reality she speaks for not even 50%.
ducknet rich is taking about gamers in their late thirties and early forties. They don’t apply to the newest gen unless they live in a very old school place.
desperate virigin gamer men would date any women if they acted like they cared about him no matter waht they look like... Most would probably give up gaming for good too if they were given an ultimatum.
Michael Angst did that happen? Gamers don’t reach that low... I don’t know where you got that idea from, but even if people like that exist, then I don’t expect the relationship to go well. If a person has to give up a hobby because the other partner hated it? Then I would think that they don’t have much in common anyway.
@Cowboy Dan if you think it's just as childish then i feel severely sorry for you. and it's pretty obvious that you aren't an athletic guy judging from how hard you're trying to appear that way.
exactly like my old man, when i was younger he always used to get pissed off whenever i was playing games but they just sat there watching tv all day or on their phone
I rarely play games now, I get bored easily now I'm older, and when I get the chance to play a game now, my father will flip out and saying things like "You are always playing videogames". I'm like, yeah dude, that's right. It doesn't matter how much you play the game, you'll always get haters.

@@thefilmdirector1 Hahaha, yeah that's how it goes now. I think I'm turning into my father. I see my two kids playing Roblox all day and I'm catching myself telling my kids, "you guys play videogames all the TIME!" I rarely get a chance to do anything now except maybe spend an hour or two playing something and going to bed to get ready for the next day of work.
The funny thing is that people think video games think are for kids, but yet those same people spend all day long playing mobile games or on Facebook .
It's not really that to be honest, its more about how addicting a game can be specially games like witcher 3 when u spent countless of hours and u isolate yourself from real life. The witcher 3 is not a game u can play 1 hours and pick up next day or after 1 week because u lose the sense of the story and do not remember not connect things up. This is the point not that games are for kids, but how they can go between you and your life.
Some thoughts on the matter: 1) Why would you, as a gamer, want to spend your time with someone who doesn't share an interest in the same hobbies as you? Being a gamer nowadays is not that rare, plenty of girls are gamers, I'm sure you can find someone that doesn't scoff at the hobby. 2) Judging someone based on the video games they enjoy is as sophomoric as judging someone for playing video games in the first place. 3) Collecting video game paraphernalia is no different than collecting for any other medium and should be treated as such. It's okay to collect hundreds of video games but god forbid you also like to collect statues and plushies for the hobby you enjoy as well!
I literally live in a town of 600. Not a lot of ppl are gamers. My highschool was full of girls who were so put off by the idea of a video game. My point is that you don't always get to choose to hang out with ppl who share your interests if you're just sick of being alone.
You don’t have to be with someone who shares the same interests as you to be in a happy relationship. It’s just a matter of them respecting the fact you enjoy that hobby, and are open to engage in those interests with you occasionally (though this is more a bonus than anything).
-DepthCharge That’s because sports are inherently masculine. You have to be physically strong, have good reaction time, strategy, and co-operation to win. It’s directly applicable to being a protective husband and father (or at least a reminder). It’s not the same as beating a boss in a video game, or even winning in a competitive video game.
I'm 37 as well, and nearly everyone I know in my age group STILL stigmatizes gaming. Despite the fact that the majority of my games are geared to adults, it's still "for the kids" and not a topic of conversation. Yeah, I really want to hear your conversations about home equity loans and PTA meetings. My generation really has become the cast of 'This Is Us' or 'The Slap'. Sad.
My mom just turned 40 and we got her an NES classic for her Birthmas present(she was born right before Christmas). She isn't even that big of a gamer but she loves it. My dad(in his 50s) also liked watching us play gears of war because " that chainsaw gun is sweet".
Bro I don't have time to worry about what women are attracted to!!! I'm trying to work out a speed run for Resident Evil 2!!! Gotta get that S rank son!!!
Idk man, I was born in 74 and when I went to an arcade for the 1st time I've been hooked on gaming ever since!!! Some folks just dont get it,and that's cool, but dont let a stigma force your view of a person, I'm a gamer but I'm a responsible father and husband just like I'm black and I'm not a thug or a deadbeat father.
I agree. I'm one of those people who don't understand the draw of gaming, but if you enjoy it then that's cool. Everyone is different. Not everyone understands why I like working on cars, but it doesnt matter because I enjoy it. As long as your hobby doesnt keep you from being a functional person, do your thing.
CCuppy Well Yeah obviously drugs and crimes should be the bottom BOTTOM of your to do list. Staying in school is good but isn’t the only way to success. Just stay away from crime and drugs, focus on your future with or without college, work hard and be passionate and you will succeed 😃
CCuppy Oh.. Well, I’m glad you find it inspirational :). These days school and college can be a waste of time since many of things we learn don’t pop up again in our lives unless we study to be Doctors or engineers. To succedd you just need goals, motivation, hard work and passion, that’s it.
@CCuppy Yeah, stay in school where only 25% of what you learn is actually relevant outside of the education system and 75% of nonsense that won't help you outside of the workforce.
Were we supposed to be ashamed of Gaming? I'm somewhat younger than him but I always just ignored any social stigma BS and talked about it openly. When you're up front and straight forward in talking about things you like, most people will respond positively to that energy.
Yea i'm only 23 most girls my age are casual gamers and even if they hated gaming they are going to have a hard time finding a man who does not play video games.
Sister: Playing games is for little kids and you should grow up... *Has a job and pays all the bills on time while keeping my hygiene great with activities to keep me busy.* My sister is unemployed and never keeps herself clean while wasting her time on Netflix and social media...
not exactly. Those are what you describe as un reasonable parasites. Most don't like it because it's looked down upon in society and considered unproductive. Yes it's a hobby but one that can take a lot of your time. There are better things you could do with your life but I guess each to their own because not everyone has the desire to go out and learn.
Games are competition. In fact, anything besides her is likely competition. But she’ll be happier if you used that gaming time to work, because you working means more money for her. Hypergamy.
Gaming isn't in the same level of time wasting as reality tv. It's been scientifically proven to improve hand eye coordination and depending on the game can be a brain workout in the same way as crosswords or sudoku. Reality tv just rots your brain.
I'm 35 and people around me (and in general) above 30 think games are for kids and teenangers. I always respond with a question "Don't you watch tv?... that time I prefer to be playing games." Games are an interactive entertaiment, and provably the best you'll get. Some people like to buy the new cellphone or clothes, I prefer games. Case closed.
but its more like this if you got a ft job a wifey/girlfriend and kid(s) then you probably wont game anymore cuz there is no time for it anymore.. and so if you still gaming at 35 you probably single nothing wrong with that but women are high maintenance and have high standards so you a gamer . no thanks you to short no thanks not enough money no thanks not good looking no thanks .. a brown eyes no thanks you got a mole on your left arm no thanks
40? Yeah, opinion dismissed right there lol. A 40 year old soccer mom isn't really able to represent most women gaming is related to. Most girls play games themselves now so I wouldn't worry too much.
Hungry Elf hot girls don't. I date a lot of model type girls and I can say for a fact that 90% of them don't like the fact I play videogames. The statement 'women are not attracted to gamers' goes for women that are actually hot. Not kinda cute, depressed, insecure or nerdy girls.
@CJ P. Turn that around: "Most guys are NOT playing games themselves... at least not the 8-10 on the hot scale ones. There’s no shortage of 5’s and below that like games, but nobody cares about them as dating prospects." Still think it's a fair statement? If you reject people because they're not hot enough for you, don't get mad when the same happens to you.
Words of wisdom from Papa Vergil xD, as a female gamer, I would go for someone that also games too, what's the point of being with someone who doesn't have any interests or things in common with you, it would be boring relationship to me, I rather be with someone who would have similar interests that we can have fun doing and enjoy together.
Worse. They aren’t getting any intilectual stimulation. Watching tv pits you in a trance state. You actually burn more caleries while sleeping than watching tv due to movements in sleep.
ScopeDog the motion control stuff like Kinect and wii and ps move are very interactive . Kinect especially with all those games kicking soccerballs. Star Wars is cool.
Double standards. If you're a gamer you are a forever unattractive hopeless nerd. But if you watch sports center, suddenly you're a stud. But I still think most women are more concerned about plain ol looks above anything else. When they get older while still single though, then the priority shifts to money and weather or not the potential mate has a fat paycheck, even if he might be fat himself.
I do not understand how my father can sit staring at a screen for as long as he does. I need to be interacting with what if on the screen. Otherwise I get restless.
If her ex played games from when he got home to when he went to bed, that means he was actively avoiding her. She must have been a "gem" to be around with. And by gem I mean a bad one.
Sure, but if a woman constantly wants you to spend your time with her and throws tantrums if you try to engage in your own interests/hobbies that gets old pretty quick.
Um my girl and I play video games TOGETHER. We both played them alone, she saw my switch when she came over to my place, and we proceeded to play Mario Kart until 2 in the morning. I’m also a fan of more hardcore stuff, like Dark Souls, Witcher, Elder Scrolls, and Rainbow Six Seige. Did I have to pull back from those titles when I got into a relationship? Sure! Do other gamer friends I have have trouble doing that? 100%. I’m sure there are people out there who aren’t attracted to gamers in the slightest, but don’t make it a blanket statement that all women aren’t attracted to gamers, that’s just a childish overstatement
I still run into people who think that I do have a problem but don't say anything about it. They can't understand that I have no problem with my husband playing video games. He plays with his brother who lives in another state. We have also met a lot of people playing games and have met some of them in person and they are some of our closest friends. I think as generations come and go and how gaming in general becomes more the norm in society, these types of women will be few and in between. Most women and men I think as time goes along, meaningful relationships would be easily had while playing. Especially if you find yourself playing multiplayer games in where you have conversations with people online. I've read several instances on Reddit and other forms of media in where the couple that got married, met up simply by playing a game together online. I know one in particular where they were both playing Halo together online and I think they ended up deciding to meet in person, and now they're married. So I think like you said, older generations growing up in the Atari, Nintendo, and Sega days will always see gaming as childish because of the style of those games and how they appeared in those times can make someone think that those things are childish. Those types of people who think that way will eventually be a thing of the past. If anything, I think in the future if you don't game, you'll be the weirdo...LOL
As a female myself, I've enjoyed playing video games. I love playing my Nintendo 64. Yes it still works after all these years. Recently bought a Super Nintendo so I could play Super Mario World. My favorite game of all. Depending on who you're attracted to. Everyone is different.
Why would you even want to be with someone who looks down on the stuff you enjoy That's not gonna be a happy relationship By this point there are plenty of people in general who will be fine with it and even game with you. All you need is to find the right person.
The problem with guys like u is that u see some girl who ells would have done webcam strip, playing some games on twtich and u crate this false hope to find someone like her lmfao. Life is not like that at all.

I grew up gaming all the time, in elementary/junior high school my friends played games and in High school my friends played games as well, however, some didn't and the ones that didn't play would look at it as a kiddy thing. Now as I reached 12 grade and after High School, I noticed some of my friends that use to game began to slowly stop gaming or quit because they didn't have time because of life's responsibilities. I always use to say to myself and to other people as a child that I would be a gamer for life and I will be hardcore gaming until the day I die. Now that I'm older, I have a lot of responsibilities and when I have free time I just want to sleep or relax and listen to a documentary, don't get me wrong I still game, but not like I want to or use to when I was younger. To be honest it kind of pisses the inner child off in me because growing up I couldn't afford a lot of these games or consoles and now as an adult I have a huge collection of consoles and games, but I don't enjoy them like I should.
Do you feel Gaming is more an obligation now? Since you are a Gamer and would betray yourself if you don't? I think reducing your Game Time is a good counter for that, but also something else: Don't buy too much. in discussions the argument that is most often heard is that they don't have time to get good at a Videogame anymore, so they hate when Videogames waste their time. But this is nonsensical, of course you have the time. Nothing prevents you to spend Months or even Years at a single game, but you feel an obligation to buy all these new Games in fear of missing out, and because of that Gaming is stressful. You didn't have a Backlog back as a Kid. So this would be my Advise: only buy Games you really want to play, not because they are the new hot thing, everyone needs to play,
Sefie Ezephiel that's how I do it. After high school and during my college years I stopped playing games for about 3-4 years. No time work and college. After graduating and just working now I have time and started buying games I missed and might like. Right now I'm getting back into it because my friends also play the same games. They pretty much got me back into it and I forgot how much I enjoyed it.
@@sefieezephiel9851 I do feel sometimes obligated to play my games because I want to live up to my promise that I made myself as a kid, but I actually like playing games as well. I remember in college I would go to volunteer and then go to work, come home and game for a few hours (if had some free time) and I was good. Now I'm to tired after handling my daily activities and responsibilities so it feels like I don't have the energy to play. As for buying games I slowed down on buying games as of last year because of the fact that I had to many games in my collection, I have games that I have bought brand new for the PS2 and Xbox 360 2 years ago and I haven't even had the chance to open them yet and play them. On PC I get tons of promotional games for free and I just add them to my gaming library in hopes of checking them out and sadly I don't always get to. I now see that having to many games makes it hard to choose what to play when you have an hour or two to play before bed and you are indecisive on what to play.
As a woman who games, I do get where you're coming from. I've gotten all of these arguments from my parents. I think gaming has made great strides towards becoming more mainstream, but there are still plenty of people see them that way. Both men and women. I think the best thing we can do for gaming in general is to be more open about who all plays. I've met so many people who are shocked that I game because I don't fit the "gamer stereotype" you mentioned. However, I have met a lot of people who game and not one of them fit into that stereotype. The general public focuses on a few outliers and assume all of us are like that because those outliers are the most visible. They're the one talked about in the news. I think, as a community, we need to show non-gamers that we are just like everyone else. We just happen to like spending our free time as an Assassin, or The Inquisitor, or the Master Chief, etc for whatever your favorite games are. Anyway, just my two cents. Also Witcher 3 is AWESOME!!!! Anyone who doesn't think that hasn't played the whole thing. I was in tears when Geralt thought Ciri was dead!
bro you got this! My friend was almost 400 lbs and now he's about 190. IN ONE YEAR! I keep my weight in check too, and I owe it to intermittent fasting AND ketogenic diet. Look into it. Intermittent means I only eat within 5 hours AT 5pm. And Ketogenic just means I cut out carbs. NO SUGAR. Or at least eat very little. I substitute rice with steamed broccoli and mushroom. HAPPY NEW YEAR MAN!
Married 3 children. Love gaming, and still make sure to maintain well. I also a faster plus BJJ 4 or 5 times a week keeps me nice and kept for gaming lol I wanna stay as Healty as possible so I can game for as long as I can
In June I started losing weight. I dropped soda, fried foods and started to exercise everyday and eat better. I was 185 and now I'm about 158. I wasn't big to begin with but still happy I did it. It's winter now so it's making me lazy lol.
Yes Richie, there are losers who are gamers. But doesn't every hobby have its crazies? Why do we only judge gaming by its most extreme? Not to mention, why do men constantly have to prove themselves in a relationship anyways? I wouldn't ask my girlfriend to stop doing something she loves just because I don't like it. If your significant other demands you change your lifestyle (unless it's something illegal or harmful), then they're not worth it.
I agree with a lot of points made here. I've known people who have quit their jobs because of a game addiction, and I've known people who barely have time for games due to life's responsibilities. So I have seen the extremes and in betweens. I think most people in general when they really think about what is actually important, are more attracted to competent, responsible people. I think most women tend to hit that level of maturity earlier then most men which is why they begin identifying the qualities they are looking for in a partner at an earlier age. Attracting someone is going to be difficult for people who can't grow out of gaming or any hobby addiction (keyword is addiction), shows a lack of responsibility, lack of respect for themselves and their partner, and a disregard for using their time in effective and meaningful ways. These are the people like you mentioned in your example who prioritize gaming or whatever hobby over almost everything else in their life. Why would any rational person be attracted to someone when they perceive warning signs that this person may neglect important responsibilities and people now and later in life? It makes sense to me. Would any rational person be attracted to lazy, unproductive, and unhealthy (physically and mentally in some cases) individuals? All that being said, it's also easy to find people who are overly critical of their partners hobbies. When they do address their duties at work and at home first, and then use a little free time for what they enjoy, sometimes people still catch grief for that, and that is a sign of controlling behavior which is totally undesirable. So i think its important to realize its a complicated social equation, not the oversimplified mental trap people can fall into on both sides. "Girls don't like me because I'm into videogames" or "I don't like gamers because they're all fat and lazy". Both of these points are intellectually dishonest. Do girls not like you because of gaming? Or do girls not like you because you show zero quality regarding time management, maturity and responsibility? And for the other side, do you really not like gamers? Or are you more concerned with the issues associated with the stereotype? A lot of these positions become more rational when you break them down a little, and I would like to think people could meet somewhere in the middle and be more tolerant, and tolerable in their own right. No matter which side you're on, try some self criticism first before assuming the other side is totally in the wrong.
Why women aren't attracted to fat guys... Why women aren't attracted to skinny guys... Why women aren't attracted to mechanics... Etc, etc, etc. Did this video really need to be made?
I personally think the video should have been titled, "Why MOST women aren't attracted to male gamers". And even then, I bet you a lot more women would be attracted to casual gamers vs the classic couch potatoes. Lol
@@aikou2886 I just say most because when you (not you specifically, but a person) says "some"... "some" in this day and age kind of means "just a few". And "most" doesn't have to be the overwhelming majority; 51% is still most. But, as far as I know, there isn't a known percentage of women who are attracted/unattracted to gamers. But once again, the term "gamer" is too broad; as presented in the video, there is a massive difference between a casual gamer and a couch potato. Admittedly, I'm very much a couch potato (yet somehow I'm still thin... somehow?), but that's only because of deficiencies in social skills and because I live in a small town where jobs are seasonal and very limited, and basically no one my age lives here.
Any time someone tries to say that gaming is for children, I fire back that interactive entertainment like gaming is a lot better for the mind than being a passive couch potato in front of the TV. Not that that argument actually works against my set in their way elderly relatives.
I usually fire back that watching any male sport is mindless as you stated but also has severe homosexual undertones. I in all honestly don’t care but sport guys being homophobic always take it as a massive insult. If they argue the point just point out how he’s infatuated with watching men. He has another mans name branding him as property on his back and he does all of this in front of while encouraging his kids to worship these same men as himself. Also sports were invented to keep children away from drugs and underage sex. People watch grown men play children games while worshiping them and usually getting drunk. I’ve never had a decent response back because it’s all so obvious when thought about for even a minute.
My boyfriend and I are pretty much best friends, we're into the same games, and it's so much fun playing them together. I often lose in a game of mario kart or smash ultimate, but it's fun playing together and having fun. I grew up playing video games and since I'm a girl my mom tried to persuade me into doing more "girly" things, which I didn't really care about and went right back to pokemon. I wouldn't consider my boyfriend to be a "man child" despite him playing fortnite, he's just a guy who plays video games, and there's nothing wrong with that. The people who fit the stereotypes of not showering (aka the melee community) and being fat assholes are what's unattractive. It's just a hobby, so playing vidya shouldn't matter
Damn, shots fired. Im in the melee community. We're a bunch of sweaty people crammed into a stuffy room with no space. It happens lol. I don't see smash 4 (now probably ultimate) as that much better or worse, just saying. No need to paint us with the same brush. Then you're not much better than what rich was saying.
Put another way, it's almost like people who don't take care of themselves or treat people like crap aren't very attractive. Which isn't unique to gaming.
@@littenfire3563 No, sadly, its not a stereotype. Any man in or have been a relationship will tell you that. Anything done to WHAT SHE VIEWS as an excessive amount will make her question your priorities. And it could be anything: gaming, work, studying, exercising, even chilling with other friends, pretty much anything that can be or has to be done without her. Even if she has her own hobbies and interests, if she FEELS that you prefer or enjoy those activities more than her company, the person they're in or considering to be in a relationship with, they will question it, They will belittle it, Shame it, Demean it, Try to make him question its importance, or all of the above. Thats how jealousy works.
Yessss exactly. You sir hit the needle on the head. I thought I was the only one. Women seek attention and validation. When there's no opportunity for attention, women tend to stay away. Most women stay away from gamers because it has nothing to do with the guy, it has to do with fueling their own ego. Unfortunately, that can't happen through the gamers. 👏🏾
Rise up by being better. If you're a game3 make sure your credit score is good. Shower. SHOWER. Have a job. You can be a gamer, heck an Otaku and still do that.

Thank you. It's honestly just a dumb stereotype for games to be called "losers" They're really not.
Some thoughts on the matter:
1) Why would you, as a gamer, want to spend your time with someone who doesn't share an interest in the same hobbies as you?
And yet it is considered manly to have a room in your house dedicated to decor with your favorite sports team logo on it.
@@CheezMonsterCrazy lol exactly... gtfo lol
Sad.

Double standards. If you're a gamer you are a forever unattractive hopeless nerd. But if you watch sports center, suddenly you're a stud. But I still think most women are more concerned about plain ol looks above anything else.

UntamedPandaSweg ... The MGTOW?
UntamedPandaSweg A lot of those games you mentioned are genuinely pieces of high art, like This War of Mine. I don’t see how that’s a waste of time.
I'm already a millionaire, I'm allowed to use my free time to do something that gives me entertainment

Cough... gol... cough... diggers... cough.
At least the video games wont leave me and waste my money
Ikr video games and consoles cost nothing
The AAA industry and console manufacturers say hello.
Unless it’s an EA or an Activision game
Sounds like a pre-"Early release" format gamer.
Just make sure you're not playing an MMO or any Activision/Bethesda/EA game😅
I know that feeling however. I got that feeling back lol
The same . I play one game per year , when I was younger I couldn't wait to start making money to buy games , pc or consoles.
So some dried up 30-40 year old women wont date gamers. That's a loss how?
Ha

bro you got this!
Fasting is definitely the way to go when you're first starting dieting
Married 3 children.
Love gaming, and still make sure to maintain well.
I also a faster plus BJJ 4 or 5 times a week keeps me nice and kept for gaming lol
I wanna stay as Healty as possible so I can game for as long as I can
In June I started losing weight. I dropped soda, fried foods and started to exercise everyday and eat better.
I was 185 and now I'm about 158. I wasn't big to begin with but still happy I did it. It's winter now so it's making me lazy lol.
I do intermittent with 8 hours of eating, it seems better for me and I don't need to stuff myself with calories in less time.
People tell me I'm crazy for doing Intermittent fasting and then go down a Big Mac at McDonald's.
"After the kids are put down" Wait...
I had the same thought
You let them live???
If ya dont wanna put em down later then just spawn camp. When the kids pop out *BOOM* shotgun spawn kill.

Why women aren't attracted to skinny guys...
Why women aren't attracted to mechanics...
Etc, etc, etc.
Did this video really need to be made?
@@pauliravioli7580 That's kind of the point...
I personally think the video should have been titled, "Why MOST women aren't attracted to male gamers". And even then, I bet you a lot more women would be attracted to casual gamers vs the classic couch potatoes. Lol
@@DarkSunGameplay I would say "some" instead of "MOST" because as you said, a lot of them would either be attracted or don't mind it at all.
@@aikou2886 I just say most because when you (not you specifically, but a person) says "some"... "some" in this day and age kind of means "just a few". And
"most" doesn't have to be the overwhelming majority; 51% is still most.
You are the point u didnt understand, they say, games are for kids or something like that, they dont say that with mechanics only with gamers,
Any time someone tries to say that gaming is for children, I fire back that interactive entertainment like gaming is a lot better for the mind than being a passive couch potato in front of the TV.
@@jaymanly8018 Same here. It's pretty satisfying to catch them up in this. We can all use stereotypes. Lol
Looking back on this video, wow Rich the change is huge. We're real proud of you brother good on you for making a change in your lifestyle👏🏼
@Shaman X shut up idiot
Damn, shots fired. Im in the melee community. We're a bunch of sweaty people crammed into a stuffy room with no space. It happens lol. I don't see smash 4 (now probably ultimate) as that much better or worse, just saying. No need to paint us with the same brush. Then you're not much better than what rich was saying.
fasagalag exactly the melee community is the most attractive im gaming hands down
Put another way, it's almost like people who don't take care of themselves or treat people like crap aren't very attractive. Which isn't unique to gaming.
@@fasagalag i was joking. I just see it brought up often, don't take it so seriously.
Women do not like anything that takes attention away from them... that's the truth
How dare you imply that there are differences between men and women. This heresy will not go unpunished.
+1 win to this comment
No that's a stereotype. I'm a girl who plays video games and don't cry out for attention
I think a good woman will support the things her man loves. I personally love that my husband's a gamer, because we can indulge together.
