My mom had to kidnap us out of that country.Because the man has the right to the kids. But she did. This mom needs to take action. The kids have no one. By not reacting, the kids think mom is OK with it.
My fleet of daugters were all raised to turn and walk away at the Very First Sign of disrespect. If a boy/man so much as 'takes a tone' with you, THAT is the time to leave. This doesn't mean couples won't or can't disagree but it needs to be done respectfully or we can always count on it just getting worse. And anyone who tries to separate you from your loved ones? That's flat out abusive AND dangerous.

Maybe her son feels like he looks at him like an idiot in part because of his own behavior, which isn't excusable, but also because she's actively driving a wedge between her husband and children to satisfy her own anger. I think men have an unequal burden. Dr. Phil was always more of a liberal but episodes like this are truly frustrating. He didn't correct this woman at all.
