You do not own that property. The govt owns 100% of land and you have no rights to land you do not own and never will own. Delusional people pay millions on land they dont even own and never will own. A property is only worth what it costs to build that house. The land has 0 value as per the govt owns 100% of the land and you will never own it. They only allow you to rent that land. The more desirable the land the higher your rent. Dont pay the govt and they will have you evicted and auction that property to pay your late rent
In the 70s in Lompoc Ca, my landlord had a house he purchased with the requirement that the property was to be vacant. But the old tenants would not leave. So as the new landlord, he first went and took the hot water heater out of the house for repairs. Next he took the doors for repair. The third time, after several bourbons, he got on his dozer drove to the house, told the people he decided to doze the house down and gave them 15 minutes to get out. He then rammed the corner of the house with the dozer and everyone ran.
What happens if you come home and after you enter the door somebody comes running at you from a room, and in fear thinking you have home invaders you defend yourself by using the 'castle doctrine' and fill the squatters full of lead.
This almost happened to a family member in New Mexico. We put up surveillance cameras inside and out with alarms and notifications on cell phone. This way you can move quickly catch them in the act before they move in the "furniture" and personal items. Always have your mortgage and Realtor paperwork in order. What's to stop the owner from breaking into your own house and changing the locks. Think how much damage these squatters do.
When will these laws change? This is absurd. It's getting to the point that you don't dare leave your house to do anything. It makes no sense that even though you have the deed/title and you've lived there for 30 years, everyone in the neighborhood knows you, and you show ID, and mail with your name, you still have to go through the whole process of a lawyer, court, costs etc.
Say dont mention going away. Where i live neighbors talk. Then we know our neighbor going away and we watch their house. We know they are not at home so if see anyone hangin around we chase them away. Love livin in a town where we know our neighbors and kinda friends. We always say hi as cross paths and have small talk. Try entering my neighbors home. There will be every neighbor out chasing them. Neighbors gotta be neighbors and watch eachothers back
As a professional pet sitter an dog trainer etc. I have set all the time and I am extremely reasonable. I would recommend people hire housesitors because this c*** will not happen if you hire a professional to be at your house watching over it. It would never happen if I was house sitting. Never not never not never.
Well I will go to America get myself a free house and nobody can make me leave .... Im being cynical of course, but, thats the truth in all of this house thieving
States that don't protect homeowners should not be able to collect property tax.

The laws are seriously flawed.

Protect yourself. Before investing in legal fees, try cameras, security systems, and automatic timers.

REMEMBER who’s the governor of California
Thats about right, you go to jail for defending your own property and the squatters are safe and sound. Grrrr!!!
