Animating a Logo Reveal with Blender | Tutorial

- Kenny Phases returns with a fun Blender project about forming a logo with rigid body simulation. By attracting hundreds of particles toward an invisible logo object, the negative space reveals the logo in a clever way. This is a great technique to add to your motion graphics tool belt.

that means a lot coming from you, sir - thanks!
Simple het so awesome 🔥
Very very cool. Thanks!!!
awesome❤
Amazing 😊
Thanks for this one😊
Thank you ☺️
What happens if i use alt + d instead of shift + d will it work with instances?
Yes it should work fine with ALT + D (linked duplicates). Likely some resource efficiency to gain - good idea!
Haven’t done 1 minute of the video and I’m subscribed 😂
Could you use the array modifier to duplicate the spheres and then apply? Newbie asking :)
You could do that. I would not recommend it necessarily but here's how:
apply the array modifier(s) but now all the spheres are one object. You have to separate them by Edit Mode > select all (a) > press P > separate by loose parts. And the center their origins by Object > origin > center of mass.
This separation can be somewhat heavy on Blender, so you might want to copy manually and use Shift R to repeat :)
YES, BUT you would have to apply the modifier, and then separate the parts in edit mode. But yes this is possible! The other explanation comment under your comment is EXACTLY how to do this!
Noob question: why not use particles instead of duplicating the sphere?
Particles don’t have physically accurate collision rotations, if they are just floating around randomly this wont matter but when they have interactions with each other rigid body is the best. Also particle collisions calculate on point basis so non spherical object wont look accurate while colliding

@cg_cookie no more live tutorials?
We will do more live tutorials! Kenny has been busier than usual lately but he'll be back :)
