I made a Pixar animation with $0 in 60 days - Part 1

- Pixar is the master of animations. I wanted to see what it takes to create such an animation and if you could do it yourself. So I started creating my own.

Pls the link isn't working for me
marza is actaully the king of 3d animation they get it to look so realistic in the sonic unleashed intro nothing is wrong with the sonic unleashed opening it almost looks real
What about the cat
It's not Pixar quality, yet it looks impressive for a one-man product.
Extremely impressive. I believe some textures need more realism. for example, the dog bowl and the collar, have so much more stylized photorealism then the walls or the floors.
Yep true
in 25 days
This what I dont like, reducing your standers for one man's sake, it could obliviously be better, that's all, looks like he just did basic modelling of everything and only the characters are animated, in Pixar everything is animated,
@@GameDevAraz I didn't reduce my standards, I just haven't seen anything better created by one man in 60 days.
the fact that you did this all on your own is quite impressive
All free blender assets. He played animator with free assets no skill involved. This would have taken him half a year if he modeled everything himself. The only object that looked like his modeling work was the piece of cake/pie whatever it was.
@@Bak3DNormal sounds like a you problem. i dont have anything against him using pre-made assets. animation is already incredibly time consuming. there's no need to waste that precious time modelling and rigging when you have the choice not to.
True animation is incredibly hard to do properly and well, but this is nowhere near that. It's passable for a fairly beginner person in the field of animation but it's very rough. Theirs some serious understanding missing from this example and video that is very misleading to any viewers who don't understand the pipeline or workflow of having a real well-animated, textured, composed, lit, composited, sound-designed, and rendered product. Sure you can't cover that in 10 mins and wasn't his adjective, and yes technology is allowing good artists to pump out higher-quality work. But I'm just being realistic that this is bad and shouldn't be taken seriously in any way other than for inspiration and for people to gain interest in learning it properly. Although for 2 months of work, it's not bad for someone at his level.
Really? How so?
@@Bak3DNormalWtf, animators do not make their models on their own. They pay someone to do them or, as in this case, they get them for free. That's better anyway! Everyone says you should specialize on a part of the job and not to be involved to each part... Companies will hire one employee for one job, not all the work. Besides, animation is really difficult on its own
I need the second part ASAP
Hey bro i am the big fan of you

Hello there
That's a very cool result, like you said, the light help to make your scene alive, it's crazy !
I was shocked when I saw the before and after for the first time. :D
There are so many Blender tutorials focusing on technical stuff, how to do donuts etc, those are of course needed but very few videos actually is focusing on animation, styles, esthestics and film-creation. I think this video is quite unique, also due to that it requires a lot knowledge and hard work. There is nothing anymore that can stop film-creation more than our passion and hard work put into it
It's true bro without passion you will have to quit blender after few trial and errors
Yeah animation is not exactly a walk in the park, you have to like the procedure to animate and is not exactly as fun as is it seems
Aesthetics*
You said it. WE HAVE EVERY TOOL AVAILABLE TO MAKE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE. IT'S REALLY ABOUT, 'HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT IT?'
the transitions are so seamless, you did an amazing job on the editing process
Yeah considering it is a one man project
How does this not have more views? This was phenomenal man, great job! A true inspiration.
Because the title is disrespectful to the artist who have poured their life into their craft… and to assume that one person could do what a team of veted artist can do is … well as I said disrespectful to the artist
Its not.. @@amsrremix2239
the legends say that the pie still looks like a brick
🤣
The Pie better have some character development in the next part lol !! great vid as always Nog
Thanks! I'll make sure of it. :D
5:50 STORYTIME:
I graduated 3 months ago cinematography school, and at my final exam I had to draw two people, where one was holding the other bride-style, I was struggling, so I just got up, asked my lightest classmate if she was doing well and could give me a second, and when she said yes I got her, picked her up and used it for reference to see how my arms were positioned.
It was really fun, the exam went super well I got one of the highest scores! And my classmate got a nice one too😂
Ахахха, хорош
which school do u went? and what subject u graduatet?
@@kevin.rippitsch in Italy schools are divided by field, you have science school, you have language, you have art, and some of them are decided by branches, I went to art school, took the branch of (literal translation) “audiovisual and multimedia” basically we made photos and videos and studied cinema’s history.
The final exam consisted in planning a short video, which is what we’ve mostly learnt throughout the years.. they gave us a topic and we had to make a title, a subject, a shooting script, a storyboard, an animatic and a recap of all the things we’ve done and the choices we’ve made.
Quite cool if you ask me, if everything was as fun as that final exam was I’d probably do it again
Is no one gonna mention how good these transitions are?
Very Cool!
First reply you have 4 million woah
Pixar's true skills lie in their storytelling ability, at least it used to
I feel that lighting can really make or break ur scene. Absolutely loved this vid and I'm eventually gonna try these steps for my workflow as well!
The end made my heart drop
I really like how this video emphasizes the way that large studios workflows can be broken down and used for any smaller project. It's very ambitious to try something like this and I'm impressed.
Dude, as a fellow creator who's created animations, I love see this process. It requires HIGH INTENT, SINCERE EFFORT, AND FAITH in the dream to make it reality! Keep it up, bro!!
Basic poses, refining, final animation.
That seems like a very good animation workflow, thank you. I struggled so much with animation in the past but this might help me a lot in the future.
How could you end it there! I literally has tears swelling up in my eyes. 😭
it's scare me a lot that how talented people out their who are still unrecognized, and you are one of them, heads off to you bro
This is so inspiring to watch! Just seeing someone do the actual process step by step makes it seem less daunting
Dude you have the literal best editing style for a Blender artist that I've ever seen.
The people turned out very well. But the dog moves like a robot in dog skin. In any case, a very worthy result.
Man, I need to go back and start making my own animations again. This is pretty good!
it's looking great so far, one piece of advice tho
the guy's expressions are looking a little uncanny, one of the reasons for that is the eyes
they're too wide open
if u could close the eyelids a little in all the shots then it'll make a big difference
plus don't forget to add sound design at the end it takes ur work from 50% to 90%
Might I suggest adding more squash and stretch, it’ll help with some of the stiffness that happens when translating human movement to animation.
DON'T KILL THE DOG PLEASE
This is looking pretty good! I would have wished you worked on designing your own custom characters too, since that in of itself is a huge amount of work, but the actual animation process was very interesting and helps me break down the barriers to my own project, so thank you! Can’t wait for the next part! ❤
Adding that process of sculpting/adding bone dynamics on top of everything else he’s already doing by himself AND creating/editing this youtube video is so much, I’m already happy he broke down the whole process without it looking too overwhelming to pay attention to. Good luck on your project! ❤
That cliffhanger in the end caught me by surprise, combining that with the sudden switch in music was the cherry on top. Excellent work!!
Great video Noggi!
I am pretty much doing the same! I am in the rendering process! LOVED it man, great work! Even I did that video of myself placing a pen in a holder 🤣
Very nice, Noggi! Really cool end result! Looking forward to more :)
Man, your work is great. You gave me a good motivation to start
Awesome! Can't wait for the second part.
my favourite part was the bone without smoothing groups applied
Dude! you literally can make movie with your skills.
watching this gives me MAJOR respect for animators.
i cant believe the plot twist of the ending ! it was at a OG pixar level , it's an excellent job
That’s incredible work! Thank you for the encouragement I feel like I can make my short film now
Whenever I feel like giving up blender, UA-cam recommends to me the works of indie developers and you know what this powers me up
Epic video, hope to see part 2 soon. Nobody is talking about the last scene tho D:
That editing is hot! im hooked
What really make this scene so good is the cake. Didn't disappoint, is the best!
10:01 I love how the ambient occlusion updates on the ear
This is really cool :D seeing how you move through blender gives me a lot of inspiration and motivation to try learning the 3d section of it myself! ^^
Congrats man this is going to look amazing when finished 🔥
Looks amazing Noggi
Keep going
Would love to see the final result
Soon. :)
Excellent job! 60 days is miraculous. Free Blender software is amazing.
Blender + AI + Unreal Engine 5: become your own animation/game studio :D
wow, that's mindblowing!! And the cake is makes it so sympathetic 😂
Nailed that range of emotions
oh my god i love it, i'm a 3D student to work for animation, that's so impressive but... BRO YOU KILLED THE DOG 😭😭😭😭
The editing of the start of this video with the music was on point!
Bro the moment that womans' silhouette literally flies towards the door looks so hilarious. It could be a good moment for a horror animation but it needs to be fixed asap c:. Overall I like the animation but I think you should play with lighting a bit more. It looks kinda dark inside. The outside scene feels a bit toyish especially on 8:56 ig it's because grass is moutionless. Try adding some minor details like more dog toys lying on the ground.
This need to be a pixar cartoon
This is amazing. You did a wonderful job I’m so excited to see Part 2. The dog looks so fluffy!!
Woow Actually, I never thought you would do this well. dude this is perfect
Excited to see where this goes...
Fantastic work! Im also in a proces of 2D animaton for uni soo i know how hard it is.. Finger crossed for the rest of the animation and dont give up! As my personal opinion i could say that ur lighting is a bit cold, maybe try to worm up a bit? Or if its your aestetic then nvm ^^
The first half looks incredible
I really love it! Couldn't have done this whole thing by myself, and I know it isn't finished, but as a fellow animator myself I'd suggest you arch those backs at 9:36. It feels very weird, unatural, and maybe it would fit more of a first date than a cozy home environment.
Excellent!! pixar has been a favourite since John Latimer created his original baby animation before they became famous
I've never seen that one. :o
those old pixar shorts were so good. i remember them rewatching them everyday when my mom bought me the toy story dvd that came with them
Wow.. This is quite a masterpiece. This is so inspiring for an up and coming 3D animator like me. Thanks !
the hug looks really well done, good luck on your project man :)
That was cool! I’m impressed what you where able to do in 60 day is impressive.
It's amazing for a single fighter.
That animation was marvelous! 👍
Looking forward for the next video! Really good job !
Congrats on your work 👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽
It may not be the greatest of quality today but over the last 30 days with the addition of tools like motion brush in Runway the quality has advanced 10x...Good Example...Brett
Still impressive ♥, can't wait for part 2. :) Good Job!
Not bad I’m glad you tried keep up the good work!
You're so talented...
Also, I recognized the music at 8:46 from a UA-camr I watch (is called Enough is Enough by Claude Signet, if I'm not wrong)
this actually really good I'ma subscribe for the update videos
Goat is back ❤
Now this is the real animation hard work. Impressive!
This is the best straight forward video of how to even start. I have been watching so many videos but this one is amazingly direct.
Well that one dark quickly...lol anyways I love this so much! Subbed so I can see part two can't wait!
I liked the animation feels realistic and the ambience/lighting and colors feels very cute cheerful and nice
A very interesting project with real efforts!
Pixar's human movement is extremely fluid and accurate. Yours not so much but still impressive.
This looks so tediously fun!
Looks great!
Nice job hope to see the next part
This is AMAZING! Thank you! *subscribed*
Well done! You did great!
Great concept, Crazy edit, Amazing video !!
Lovely man, I will follow the whole series
no joke, i felt the emotion
It looks so good so far !
I love this series please don't stop
That was Epic!!!! Keep it up!⭐
Finally, a decent competitor for Pixar!
All I need is a couple million dollars. :D
Fr
Amazing stuff! Top effort
Youre really talented at 3d modeling and animation.
Looks good so far 😊
You did an awesome job in 60 days. Great work
This is mind blowing and very inspiring!
That was so amazing, great job
