On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a 1969 spy film and the sixth in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions. It is based on the 1963 novel by Ian Fleming. Following Sean Connery's decision to retire from the role after You Only Live Twice, Eon Productions selected George Lazenby, a model with no prior acting credits, to play the part of James Bond. During the making of the film, Lazenby announced that he would play the role of Bond only once.

In the film, Bond faces Blofeld (Telly Savalas), who is planning to hold the world to ransom by a threat to render all food plants and livestock infertile through the actions of a group of brainwashed "angels of death". Along the way Bond meets, falls in love with, and eventually marries Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo (Diana Rigg).

James Bond is a fictional character created by British novelist Ian Fleming in 1953. A British secret agent working for MI6 under the codename 007, Bond has been portrayed on film in twenty-seven productions by actors Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig. Eon Productions, which now holds the adaptation rights to all of Fleming's Bond novels, made all but two films in the film series. In 1961, producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman purchased the filming rights to Fleming's novels. They founded Eon Productions and, with financial backing by United Artists, produced Dr. No, directed by Terence Young and featuring Connery as Bond. Following its release in 1962, Broccoli and Saltzman created the holding company Danjaq to ensure future productions in the James Bond film series. The Eon series currently has twenty-five films, with the most recent, No Time to Die, released in September 2021.

I was born in the summer of 1969, so it was the British t.v. premiere of OHMSS in the late seventies that i first saw it, as a kid i had already been to the cinema to see The Spy Who Loved Me BUT this movie got to me in a personal way, it had something special. It was then and still is my favourite Bond movie. God bless you George, you're the oldest living Bond now so look after yourself

My Favourite Bond Film! This trailer is different to some of the others and it doesnt mention the actors names in voiceover, One of the other UK ones says the names Lazenby, George Lazenby.

I miss those previews from when I was a kid in the movies way back when. They were so well done compared to the bad taste and loudly obnoxious previews nowadays.

I prefer the U.S. Trailer Narration for this great Bond film over the U.K. Narration.
At least here, they don't try to tell us that he's a different 007 ala Codename Theory.

"Somebody's rearranging a few bodies... And a few bodies... Are arranging themselves... For HIM!"
In today's climate, this feels even more priceless.

@@MichaelMcCormackMusic The new Doomcock video came out yesterday ; I'm a little weary about watching it.
I think I've just resigned myself to Jones V being a potential shit-show. I have such little faith in it, that I'm probably gonna go out of my way to have the film spoiled for me, just before release and if the worst is true... I just won't see it. I don't know if I can take all that crap, after what they did to the legacy Star Wars characters. I know a lot of people hated No Time to Die for similar reasons, but it made a bit more sense with Craig's Bond.

Yep, I saw that Doomcock video. It just sounds horrible! I can’t believe how little I care for Lucasfilm properties now. I hate that they killed Bond too. Thank God for old movies!

I miss trailers that don't tell the whole story. Watching this I only know there are good guys, bad guys, girls and action.

Had they brought back Telly Savalas, as Blofeld in diamonds are forever and made the movie more serious instead of comical, and campy, Then I think it would’ve been better, especially given the fact that Sean Connery agreed to come back for diamonds or forever.
