    God bless you for saving all of them I did stuff like this a Couple time we had a pond near my house and people where digging it up and I ask the people that where digging it up if I could take all the animals in it and relocate them it was sad but if I did not they
    Would all die

    Tbh, i would get a tub full of water and use my hands to scoop them, along with some of the mud they are on, and or use a shovel to scoop them up from under them. I learned you need atlest some remenance of the environment they were born in. I have learn that the hard way by seeing a tadpole looking like it was bloating from the well water, but when adding the water from the creek it was from, it was back to normal.

    Frogs and toads survive droughts by burrowing into soil.

    • @isabellajohansson8405
      @isabellajohansson8405 3 роки тому

      Did you watch the video? There were already so many dead because the soil/mudd was all dried up. With how hot it was, that pond would dry up completely before the next rain and you can't expect one rain to just make do

    • @michellemichelle5158
      @michellemichelle5158 3 роки тому +1

      @@isabellajohansson8405 of course I watched it. Have you ever watched National Geographic documentary? Google hasn't scrubbed the information pertaining to this subject yet. Do some easy google research. "Nature doesn't support failure" there is a reason there were millions of them. It is an optimal breeding area. Some will die but nature selects the strongest to survive through droughts. Nature is awesome like that. 👍

    That's awesome you've rescued as many tadpoles as you have! You have a good heart & it must have been sooo distressing to have to leave some of them behind. Just remember, even if you can't get them all, you have saved a ton of them, which is more than most people would have done!

  • @dallasnull765
    @dallasnull765 2 роки тому

    Those are Cricket Frog Tadpoles. I had a couple hundred of them myself, however they do take awhile to grow legs and turn into frogs unlike bullfrog tadpoles. I'm not too sure if they are the Northern, southern, or Eastern species but they are definitely cricket frog tadpoles. when they turn into frogs they will be about the size of a full grown cricket,, no bigger.
