Pond Tip:: The Orange In Your Pond Is Mainly Caused By Dying Leaves,, It Kinda Works Like When You Make Tea & It Colors The Water,, So Try To Keep Out As Many Leaves As Possible

I came across this video and he reminded me so much of my son I was hooked,saw flipper and saw clown night fish and few others on there .my son would have loved to have done this .thank u Bobby .
I can just imagine that one kid who comes with his dad to the store. Just to show up and see no fish. That seams like something that would happen to me!

The underwater shot look amazing in the afternoon light. Have you ever thought of setting up permanent underwater cameras in your ponds and then just network them to a comp and you can watch them 24/7 at home or just do a live stream with the fish ponds for your subscribers.

This is a really cool concept but the only reason I would not do this myself is because cameras cost a lot!

Trouble with buying from a pet store is disease. I just bought a pleco and it died 4 days later. Three days after I placed it in the tank, I noticed red splotches on the rest of my fish. Two days after the pleco was dead, all the other fish in the tank had also died.
Pet shops should be financially liable for selling diseased fish. The store refunded my money for the pleco purchase, but what about the other 5 fish which I've had for years that died?
TLDR: Be careful purchasing fish from pet stores. There is a chance you are introducing disease into your pond.
Sorry. FYI I only buy from independent fish stores who know where the fish came from and quarantine before selling.
Oh, I love your video so much whenever I need a break from the drama and everything and the adult videos I watch I just come over here screaming excitement when you catch a blue lobster and be cool like that. It’s just amazing how you do it.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Looks awesome! If I were you, I'd set up a quarantine pond/tub to make sure you protect those fish you just bought from potential issues with wild caught!

@@jeffdaigle5487 both need quarantine but wild would need much much longer as they are exposed to 1000s of different parisites and diseases that just dont exist in a captive breeding
@@brendanhall9346 yeah i agree but being that there wild the already have the immunity to certain diseases. Ick or fin rot or any other diseases. Survival of the fittest. Theres a reason there alive in the wild. There strong and can handle the water and environment they live in. The fish you get from a store the ppl really dont care about that. They just want to make a buck. Especially when you spend 639 dollars on fish. I truly hope none of them die. Because its probably because of disease or water quality. Hope they didn't dump the water from the bags into the pond. Thats just going to spread every thing around. Just my experience from owning fish for the last 35 years, but hey it also depends on were you buy your fish. Have a wonderful day and take care my friend. Peace

Careful with the birds eating your fish, specially bought fish. Do you have any kind of defense to protect your fish from birds?

Do you have a water test kit? Keep up with the ammonia, nitrates and nitrites. Let the pond acclimate to the fish and the fish to the pond before adding anything else.

Nice idea!... wish I could have an African cyclid pond. full of many sizes of rocks for them to thrive amongst. Couple of of thoughts and questions (as an experienced African cyclid aquarium keeper that has been able to breed hundreds over five generations without even using a breeding tank. Thought 1) it's dangerous to casually throw different types cyclids of together in a community tan, as they have differing aggressivity levels. Could be a big mistake to buy so many without considering whether they are level 1 aggressive (least) or level 4 aggressive (most). Most of your purchase does seem to be similar aggressivity level 2. But if you suddenly have lots dying with strike marks, you likely mixed a lvl4 in there that is killing the others. This especially happens when they're breeding/nesting. (more piles of smaller rocks will give more territorial space protection. Thought 2) For future reference. When you acclimated the fish, you did so by floating the bags for temperature change. But you didn't acclimate for PH difference between the shop's aquarium water and your pond. Next time, don't take them out of the bag and put them in a net. Just open the plastic bags so the pond water starts mixing in gradually with the water in the bag. Let the fish swim out on their own. Much less stress on the fish. 3) funny how you picked your fish on the basis of visuals with no consideration for community tank/territorial needs/compatability. Question: Are you concerned about overstocking this pond before you've cycled through ammonia and nitrate builds? You mentioned early that you hand shrimp and some other life in the pond. But later you said there was nothing in there yet. Please explain your thinking and method on cycling this pond so that you felt safe enough to stock it with $639 worth of fish all at the same time... rather than the safer method of stocking it gradually in several waves so you don't have a massive ammonia kill two weeks after you stocked it. Thanks! Nice channel.

Your pond is going to be so sick(already is)! I love African cichlids. By far my favorite aquarium fish! I've had several tanks throughout the last 20+ years and every one of them were Africans but with a few oddballs mixed in too. Love your videos. I wish I could see those canals with all those exotics! Where are located? Pretty sure you were at the same fish store that I go to but I don't know about anything those canals. I also have a few fish that are starting to outgrow the tank(55gal) and I'd like them to go to a good home. Hit me up if you're interested and want more info.

I'd love to be able to do something like this. I'm on a fixed income. I recently woke up to another animal just left on my door. 2 box turtles. They were left in a box on my porch. They're doing so well now though.
