My PT111 saved my life in an attempted carjacking . So I bought a second one ! You couldn’t say anything otherwise to ever change my mind . Thanks for a good unbiased review !!
Random randomness 😟 glad you are here and well
That's awesome.
Glad your okay, i want to know more of the story!!! Did you shoot?
Same I want to know more
Nice job covering your asp 😉
I wish this was a joke, but here are some facts... Purchased a Taurus G2C and after 2000 rounds, not one issue of any kind and this is straight out of the box!... Ate everything I feed it including reloads... The BAD, my Kahr cw380 has return to battery issues, my Sig P365 has stovepiping issues and occasional light strikes, my Glock G42 has feeding issues and only likes certain ammo... My Glock 43 is perfect, my Glock 19 is perfect, my Springfield XDS is perfect... Paid much more for each of those guns than the Taurus... I would trust the Taurus over the Kahr, Sig, or Glock 42... Paid 189.00 for the new Taurus!... Quit all the hating and give a new Taurus a try...
Trash trigger. No thanks. Also HS XD in Europe sold as cheap as G2C so there is no reason to buy one in the first place. Springfield is just robbing you folks..
thanks for the info seems like a great little gun
@@Dave.S.TT600 if you like trigger travel measured in miles. Than its great.
@@240pixel there's a commenter below who says he 'adapt and overcome' he says it took him three mags to figure out the trigger; he says the trigger is good. Most everyone says they are very reliable. Is the HS XD smaller or lighter etc?
@@Dave.S.TT600 I don't know why you would pick a gun that you have to adopt to. There is no other way of saying it but the trigger is crap!. HS XD/XDm is sold in US as Springfield XD/XDm for a much higher price than Taurus. If you want reliable compact gun I would recommend Ruger EC9 or LC9.
Bought a G2C this spring and after 1200 rounds down range not one hiccup. Great gun for the money; my wife and daughter enjoy shooting it also.
This is my EDC carry pistol. I've been carrying it for about three years. It's not too heavy, carries 12 rounds and fires every time I pull the trigger. Can't ask for more than that. This is the pistol I recommend to all new LTC's. Some don't like the trigger, but you'll not be accidentally firing a round, you have to mean it.
That's my thing Atwell I hate hair triggers.w
PT111 is awesome pistol. No jams, and fills good in the hand. Love the way it breaks down similar to Glock. Adjustable rear sight and will fire round without the mag in. So many good features for a $200 gun.
Had mine for years. Never fails, accurate enough and easy carry.
I have one. Great gun. Fits nicely in the hand. It's accurate and controllable. Good capacity. Zero malfunctions. Gotta be one of the best ccw guns out there.
I from Brasil, I Have a Taurus in Brasil and here, I like my Taurus very much! Good job! God bless you!
Awww ☺️ yayyyy taurus 🙄
Personally to me it doesn’t depends on the price of a gun being either cheap or expensive but it depends on how reliable the design of the gun is.
Well said I agree
Go to a range and test one. My issue is the trigger definitely feels weird I thought I ran out of ammo but when I saw the slide wasn't locked back I squeezed further and sure enough their was 1 more round. It also feeds like a champ of all ammo including fmjhp and soft lead nose rounds. I dumped 200 in a range day through it and no hickups other than the long draw and new mags being super stiff like trying to push 40lbs with your thumb. Take down is so simple I was able to teach a 14yr old how to do it in 2 minutes followed by reassembly under my supervision of course which brings up the other great point they can train young shooter's without going oh no if they drop it it ruins an expensive gun not here though it's under $215 everywhere I see them.
At my local store they are $269.99 :-( so I bought a Ruger EC9s but WILL go to another store to buy the G2C very soon
@@justinw523 try the gun ranges. Shoot point blank by me had a holiday sale.
They was $229 but went back and they raised the price to $269 for the G2C so definitely going to try another place that sells them, might order from buds gun shop and delivered to my local FFL dealer
You don’t need a $600 hand gun,when you have a Taurus,thank you for a great video,God Bless America ✌️
Love my Taurus G2C ...I have 500 rounds down range...no problems at all...great gun... shots as well as my Glock 23 at half the price.
Nice review. I own two of the G2’s that my family loves to shoot. I use them primarily as a vehicle guns, but my daughter open carries when out on the trail with her horse or when we are up in the high desert. I’ve found the guns to be both reliable and accurate. This is a great little gun for the price. Long live the Republic!
These guns are so underrated it's sad, but they will surprise you, I own two Taurus the 92 and the 111, and I'm a happy man.
Just bought this as my first owned pistol. I love it so much. Got it on sale too!
Dakota Cole Banks same here man this is my first consealed carry pistol and it shoots really well for its price
I have all kinds of pistols. Glocks, Sigs, Kimbers, S&W.
I shoot this cheapo gun better than any (except my Kimber 1911)
Taurus really got this right
I'm thinking about getting one got a Ruger security 9 it's also a good gun
Same with me I have more expensive guns but this has become my everyday carry I completely blow out the bullseye with this thing it's super accurate.. the only gun that is more accurate is my Steyr 9 mm. And that gun will not cycle 115 grain.. and my Taurus is more reliable LOL
Scootch00..... I bought the G2C last month and I love it. There is nothing wrong with this weapon, as far as I am concerned. Thank you for your honest and non biased reviews.
Is nice 👍 right
I've owned and sold a sig p365, m&p shield, hellcat, Glock 48 and 43x. I also own a Taurus g2c, along with my trusty 1911. The g2c is a sweet pistol that I'd bet my life on! Taurus made an effective and reliable weapon that is not as expensive as Glocks or sig. I don't see it as cheap. It's a smart choice
Very competent, solid review! Changed my mind about a lot of things I thought about Taurus. Keep up the good work.
I own the old version the PT-111 G2 since 2015 practically same gun and I have to tell its so reliable. I took this gun to the range right after I purchased just out of the box, fired 200 rounds with no malfunctions it ran flawlessly and still running like that and still in service with me today. Also some aftermarket Glock 26 metal guiderods fits in this gun perfectly if you want to replace the factory polymer guiderod this its a good option.
hmiranda71 I got my g2 in 2016 of course I paid like 260.00 for it back then. I love this gun and I carry it 75% of the time it’s lasted all these years and I can’t get myself to trade it for the g2c lol I bought the Galloway steel guide rod just as a precaution as you know when they occasionally fail it’s usually the guiderod. But love my Taurus ♉️
I own the G2c and love it. Taurus has updated there quality control and this firearm is 100% reliable with all ammunition. Fit and finish is of good quality. In the past Taurus has had a lot of quality issues and I feel they have come a long way to correct these issues.
Yes, it is a mid priced 200.00 gun but if it was stamped Glock or Sig you would pay $500.00
It is worth every penny for the G2c and if purchased via Gallery of Guns it has a full lifetime warranty so you never have to deal with any issues.
bikeracerdude don’t know, mine has a lifetime warranty from Davidson’s. Why don’t you ask Taurus.
Improve quality? Poor kid. Taurus only invested in marketing. Here in Brazil they NEVER admitted the problems in their weapons. More than 150 police officers died because of defects in their taurus guns. Taurusvonly survive because they have the market monopoly in Brazil and sell their junk at a low price there in the USA. Do me a favor, you live in a free country with affordable price weapons: buy a pistol that you can trust. Your life is worth more than $ 200! Here in Brazil I need to pay $ 2200 to buy a glock.
Fantastic review. Thanks for doing it!
bikeracerdude I could have got a lifetime from Buds with the pistol but I have never sent a gun back to a manufacturer. If I have a problem I cannot fix myself I take it to a local qualified licensed gunsmith and let the gunsmith fix it. If it has a warranty great, the gunsmith can determine if to send it back and deal with the warranty hassle or just fix it right there. In all likelihood I get the gun back faster. Either way I have no hassles. I have also talked to Taurus about the pistol and its parts even ordering some spares or extras that might be prone to wear over time and have had no problems with their customer service. Again, this is a $200 pistol and not my $400 Bersa carry pistol but for what it is I have no complaints. I would never let a warranty keep me from getting a gun I wanted and know to be a good one. Lots of guns don't have warranties. Use a gunsmith if you have to.
My guess is, even if Taurus has really improved their quality, they've taken such a beating having to repair past mistakes over the years that they simply can't afford the old lifetime warranty anymore. Company lawyers likely told them to drop it.
I personally really enjoy the long trigger pull it sort of almost acts like a second safety especially in concealed carry situations like a "are you sure you want to shoot this gun"
@Inconvenient Truths so that's why cops draw guns before an imminent threat huh?
Inconvenient Truths you are 100% right you have to make that decision long before your finger is pressing the trigger
Randy Monger the real question is why you have your finger on the trigger? It’s not going to fire unless you pull the trigger. So there shouldn’t be any reason too have that worry in mind.
The others are right @randy monger. If you're drawing your concealed carry pistol, it's to pull the trigger. Any other reason isn't a good reason, and it should've stayed holstered.
a. That’s not exactly accurate. Your line of thinking is why people get sued in self-defense situations and also why some people accidentally kill family members getting a drink of water at 2am. Your draw your weapon to deter a threat not necessarily to pull the trigger. If you’re in imminent danger of course that’s different but to say you plan to pull your trigger when you draw your weapon shows a level of premeditation.
I own this gun. EXCELLENT in my opinion. Nice to carry on you. Great for the money!
Thank you so much for this review and commentary. I just purchased this weapon today and am forward to picking it up on Wednesday and heading to the range. I think that this will be a perfect first side arm.
Just bought a g2c and found your vid very helpful right up to the outtake part. Then i had to laugh. Great vid. Thanks
Just ordered one of these. Thank you for the review!
Sootch00.....I've had my G2c for over a year now and have about 500 rounds through it with no problems. When looking for my first handgun price was important and watching your review while researching helped me make the decision on this gun. The trigger definitely takes some getting used to. I was just the range this week and the long trigger pull still fools me a bit.
Love your videos!
Just went to my local gun shop and purchased this gun yesterday, thanks for the good review sootch your video definitely helped pull the trigger on getting the g2c
I've owned many Taurus never have I field stripped one before until watching this video. What a thrill it was. Thanks for the knowledge and video sir! ♉
The G2 series of guns are excellent I'm glad to see you review the gun without any bias it took nutnfancy forever to review the Taurus 809 which when he finally did was quite surprised and unlike Tim from the Military Arms Channel he just won't review Taurus some people may call that being a gun snob
One of the best videos on this Taurus. Semper-fi brother
From the get go, it's a good looking firearm. Nice to see an in depth review. Rock on.
Purchased this gun about 2 weeks ago. Cleaned it, oiled it. Took it out to the range yesterday. Not a single issue. My buddy has a smith and wesson....his kept jamming. My husband has a ruger security 9.....kept jamming. Our friend had a glock 23 and it kept jamming because he hasnt taken the time to clean it. His AK-47 fired perfect. I absolutely love this gun. It performs very well for a budget gun.
+++Taurus just brung back the lifetime warranty. Good for Them' was a huge selling point, Own the pt111 g2 and just upgraded the Wife's edc to the g2c in SS, Took off the ridiculous safety system' added more aggressive texturing on grip also they beefed up the trigger blade which was a problem on some. Went with SS due to blueing wearing off to easy. But can't expect to much on a $200 pistol. Love both of em. And i trust it enough for my wife to carry it everywhere. Super reliable and that's what counts "Period"
G2c stands for "Glocks too costly" 😛
Carlos Trevino
That’s Perfect 👌
Or it's a Glock 2.... C! Lol
Oh that's true lol
Sorry to hear about your life bro. I hope one day you will be financially able to get a Glock or SIG *Carlos Trevino.*
"There goes I but by the grace of God."
@Rich Mc I carry a SIG bro., are we on the same page here??
Anyway, still get the performance with a $200 USD gun compared to a $550 USD gun??
Nice try but please, please just because you are poor don't lie to yourself & others. One day (hopefully) you
will be able to afford a high-end firearm.
Good luck & if you need a job I know someone. Just ask friend *Rich Mc.*
BTW: S&W.40 is not a Taurus and most police dept. (65%) use Glocks. Learn the facts before commenting, please.
It has been a while since I have seen your vids. I am pleased having seen this presentation sir! Semper Fi
I bought my taurus pt111 millennium g2c used. Have put a few hundred rounds through it personally and absolutely love. Great for the budget
I own this. Is my everyday carry. I have other high dollar guns but just love this one
Another great review video. But I have to say the outtakes were pure gold 🤣. I spit my beer when you said the PIG instead of SIG 😂.
Love my G2C, especially with the tridium night sights and the Tallon rubberized grips I've installed!
I really enjoy you channel and content. It has helped me tremendously. I’m in ga close to sc. God Bless!
I’ve got the PT111 G1. Excellent grip on it. Probably the top 3 comfortable pistols in my collection. Only the CZ P01 and Tristar P100 are more comfortable. Never had an issue with my Taurus and I have 750 rounds thru it. 12 round mags and perfect size. I like the trigger too.
I have a G2c and a Glock 19 gen4. Love them both. Can’t complain about either one!
Just got a good deal on one that’s has never been fired, went to look it up after purchase, sure enough my guy had a review on it, thanks ALOT for the content, love how you cover the whole spectrum and not just a brand that pays you thanks! And we value your option greatly so that why I feel lucky to have a guy like you on here. I feel like he is a gun buddy I can ask for advise lol
Picked one up for $239 yesterday. Got 25 hollows and a holster, $294 OTD. Love it! Going to make a great Jeep gun
Got mine on Black Friday for $158.48 out of the door after mail in rebate. Since yesterday is now on my rotation edc, and look forward to put at least 100 rounds next weekend. The G3 also it’s on my wish list and hope to have it soon. Nice job Taurus after so many years of frustration with you guys.
WOW!!! That's the best price I've ever heard!!!
I carry the PT111 every day in a smart carry style holster (Don't Tread on Me brand, much better and cheaper) and I also carry a spare mag in the secondary pouch. It's very comfortable and I work with it, exercise, shop, jog, lay on the beach, etc and never find it to be cumbersome. I'm a Glock guy and own three of them as well as a Ruger LCP but the Taurus is what I grab every day. I love it.
Just bought one, at home checking mine out now. Can't wait to learn about it
That is a good option if you are on a budget. Thanks for the heads up about the Olight P-Mini weapons lights in FDE. I bought one on their flash sale you told me about yesterday. Thanks Sootch00 and long live the republic bro.
Picked up one yesterday and took it to the range to break it in. Love it. Paid $233 for it. Felt comfortable in my hands. Comes with two magazines and a lock. Hell of a deal. Put 50 rounds down range with no fte or ftf at 15 and 25 yards.
It's a Damn good gun.. The trigger still surprises me sometimes. And I've put over 1500 rounds through mine.I noticed though that my trigger reset is way shorter than the one in this video. I can long draw the first shot but the rest.. The trigger resets alot shorter..almost non existent.. As soon as a millimeter I swear. And. It's ready to go.
I got the stainless steel one and I love it. Thank you, my friend, for your great videos.
I bought this as my first ever gun and plan to carry it daily. I am absolutely in love with it because of the quality for money, accuracy, and ease of disassembly for cleaning. It's my baby
a long trigger pull is not a terribly high price to pay for "second strike" option.... IMHO , Taurus provides an option for some folks to defend themselves who may not be able to own 700 handguns like Sootch! Taurus used to have a standing deal to purchase all of S&W's Lathes, Mill's and CnC equip when they went into a Refit.... share the word avoid Dick's Sprtg goods !! THX SOOTCH
Thanks Matt! My thoughts exactly.
I've heard many people talking about that long trigger. The solution to that is to replace it with KEEP TINKERING triggers, sold at ebay for only $30. Install Keep Tinkering trigger into your gun and it will give a your gun very nice smooth trigger.
@Ricky Ricardo I bought a Mossberg 500 in 2007 at Dick's for $189. Great gun, but never going back now. LOL
Long trigger pull.. nice for iwb carry..
This will be one of your most watched videos. I've got two of them pistols and love them
Thanks Brother!
Thinking about getting another one myself. Great gun.
@@sootch00 are the sccy any good. Looking at those or one of these. In green for the wife. Which would you suggest. Like sccy s warranty.
Video was very helpful thank you so much. You taught me how to take it apart and clean it.
Great review as always!! Thanks for the comparisons.
I've owned a Taurus Millennium G2 for years, and you're right, it is an excellent edc pistol. This is the first I've heard of the new "C" variant. Was glad to hear it is the same pistol with the exception of no built in trigger lock. I never use that anyway. The long first shot trigger pull is a safety feature, and I don't mind it. That may be because I carried a DA/SA Smith & Wesson for 25 years.
Great review as always. You are the first person I started watching 7 years ago when I first started shooting/carrying a pistol. I was naive and fell for the Magtech 9mm bullet as being a quality bench mark. I have learned a lot. I disagree on that one now. CCI is my quality bench mark, and have learned how to get them cheaper. Never the less, I still think you are a great reviewer.
Still have my fathers old Taurus 32 revolver and after 48 years it still works flawlessly. Might get one of these newer polymer guns.
I've had a PT140 pro since 2007 and it's had thousands of rounds through it, never has it failed to fire or jammed. Not even after hundreds of rounds at a time. It's my EDC and really one the very few pistols I bet my life on over and over again.
I'm definitely picking this up, especially for the price!!! Great choice for my first handgun 🇺🇲
Just bought me 1 after watching the reviews...good investment, nice price...ready to send some rounds thought it now!!
I have the regular sized G2 and it has been good to go. I did replace the plastic recoil spring because of early blog comments that it would bind after a few thousand rounds although I never had that problem.
You are great at these videos! Thank you. Very nicely done. Keep it up.
Hands down Buget gun for the money and for the job. Shoots well and great for conceal carry. Thanks for sharing
Thanks CP!
Ruger 9e or S&W sd9 are my picks for best budget gun
G2 all the way. I carry it more then my Glock 29.
Sonny Dryer I carry my g2 more than my smith and Wesson
Went looking for my first (real) handgun a week ago. Held eight different handguns, had no idea about half of the gun manufacturers at all, since I haven't been into guns (money) for over two decades now. Held several sigs, several glocks, smith&wessons, berettas, and had zero idea about prices. I assumed 450+. And then this little concealed carry-friendly gun was handed to me. It felt amazing. Had features the others didn't. Put the money down on a G2C, and can't wait to own it.
I have a bunch of different compact firearms & this is actually my edc. I replace the guide rod spring with Lakeline LLC & added a crimson trace rail master, perfect little EDC carry IMO
One of my favorite weapons I have pistols that cost much more but I really enjoy this taurus .
I'v done tons of research for the past week of Taurus and this G2C to make a decision on what gun to get for a all around carry and home defense and I have to say i hardly hear or read anything bad on this gun, all has been very good! Thanks for sharing I made my decision and can't wait to go pick it up the new G2C
Me too
Shoots better than my G26. Carries better than my G19.
Lmao my 26 is the best shooting gun I have ever owed. Don’t blame the gun it is your shooting ability that needs improvement
Thanks for doing this review sootch I've been hoping you d do one I love mine have over 1800 rounds through it.
Thanks for sharing your experience Jonathan!
I have A Taurus 45 and I've had it about three years and I've never had any issues at this point been very reliable gun
Thanks for doing the video. I have that pistol and love it! I have around 800 rds of brass through it and know problem steel Tulammo is a different story just a failure to feed sometimes. I also have a Taurus pt809 and it is the easiest gun to rack and shoots very nice and very accurate. Thanks again for the video I’ve been waiting on this one and as always very informative 👍🏻👍🏻. Glad you liked it.
Thanks Jeff! I appreciate the Feedback brother!
I've owned some of the best handguns ever made. I just bought this and it has become one of my favorites! How can you go wrong with the price, accuracy and dependability? I like it so much I'm going to get another just to have in my fanny pack or bug out bag.
Great review Schooch. I’ve had mine for over 3 years. The trigger gets smoother with use, I love the way it shoots off the short reset!
Sorry if I spelled your name wrong, I wasn’t an English major!😬
Great review. Thanks for the overview. I have this waiting at my FFL here in NJ (can only claim one every 31 days 😖). Looking fwd to breaking it in and using as a bedside home defense pistol. Great blooper reel at the end as well! Be safe.
I seen this gun for sale 170$ brand new with your review im going to get it thanks
From where??? the cheapest i seen it is for $249.00
Zonarevolorio palmetto state armory $179
You can get a stainless steel striker guide from lakeline LLC that will clean up the trigger and it cost less than $20 as well as other parts for this wonderful handgun.
I had this gun and I carried it for my ccw and its light weight and slim, I carry this and my glock 19...the trigger is a lil long but not bad, it's a great gun
I just picked the new up today. After numerous videos and other research ( online reading) material, I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchased it today.
The G2C is a great gun for the money. Well worth double what I paid for it. The trigger and reset is spot on.
If it said anything but Taurus you would pay as much as the rest of them and be very happy with your purchase.

Thank you Sootch for making this video. It is very good that we have honest people on here to tell us about these BEFORE we buy them. I have had this pistol in my hand and it felt very good. But watching this vid along with others have made me give Taurus a second look. The price is just astounding. I currently have a Ruger Security 9 and love it. But am seriously considering this gun as my go to CCW. Thanks to all who gave their opinion on this also.
I never could get past the trigger on all the Taurus pistols I’ve owned and shot. Good review, thanks for all your efforts. God bless.
Got one,600 + rounds,not a single hiccup,best for the money,199 in cabelas,good vid pal 👍
Thank you sir for being honest. I bought g2 3 years ago because of my income for safety. I understand the quality is not on the top shelf but if someone pointed it in my face quality is out the door and I would be begging for mercy
Thanks for the great review. This will be my first gun ever. I am on a tight budget but needed something for home defense now. Plan on exploring more elaborate options in the future but this looks pretty good!
2500 rounds through mine with zero malfunctions. I put 2750 through my PT709 with zero issues before I sold it. I only sold it when I saw the G2C has no key safety on it. Trigger is improving as I shoot it. It took about 500 rounds to truly smooth out. So...I love them.
I'm getting one tomorrow morning. Soon as rural king opens. I can't wait!!!
Get something else Misty. Get a Kimber Bel-Air ;-) Spoil Your!
not sure about the warranty but you may want to check the new warranty on all firearms they produce after Jan 1 2017. they have a 1 year warranty
This vid helped me decide to get the pistol. Thanks!
I love mine! It was my first CCW. It’s now a truck gun but still enjoy shooting it!
Great gun mine always works. Cant see how they make such a good gun for such a reasonable price.
They know what features work, and have taken a lot of features from other guns to make a really functional design on the cheap.
I have the PT-111 G2 which I have taken to the range and put several hundred rounds through with no problems at all. No failure to feed, failure to eject, stove pipe or anything and I love the gun. I like the feel, reliability and the fact that for a budget pistol it's accurate also. True, you get what you pay for but sometimes you actually come across something that really surprises you. The trigger takes some getting used to but it's not that bad, especially compared to something like CPX-2 which I recently owned. I own and carry glock but this still makes a very good pistol for the money. Would I buy another? Absolutely. I'd rather have this then a wrist rocket... Try the pistol for a while and come back with a follow up video with an honest review. I follow your channel and would like to see a few follow up. As always, keep up the good work. United we stand
Thanks for Sharing the experience Brother. Good to hear.
Thank you for the video sir, just bought my g2c as my first gun
These are surprisingly nice little pistols for what they cost. I've had mine for over 3 years. I carry it with confidence because I've tested it thoroughly. Never failed Once after 1800 rounds of mixed ammo. Steel, cheap gunshow reloads, everything I put in comes out of the barrel. And honestly I like the trigger and ergonomics. 12 round capacity. I know it's a Taurus and they get a bad rap, but I don't care what it says on the gun if it works for me. Good review
Great Pistol. Great review as always! Thank you sir.
After watching many reviews, I bought a PT 111 just before Christmas for $189.99 at Dunhams. I've own a couple Taursus .357's for over 25 years and put 1000's of rounds through them with no problems. I've put a bit over 2000 rounds through the PT 111 with 0 failures of any kind. Get used to the trigger and groups tighten up. Love the way it feels in the hand, and carry it often. Like the size and capacity. I do think it's a great choice and value for anyone.
I also have a PT 111G2, for about 3 years now. I have NEVER had any problems with it. It is 100 percent RELIABLE and one of the BEST values on the market. The only problem that I have with Taurus, is that they cancelled their "Lifetime Warranty," and replaced it with a ONE year warranty !!!!!! However, many people are oblivious to the FACT that Glock firearms are also warranted for ONLY one year !!!!!
Own the pt111 g2, ive put several thousand rounds through it over the past few years, not a single issue with it. I LOVE MY g2.
I'll hang wit my Kahr MK9 for ccw, but I got one a these for my nephews b-day, and itsa good lil shooter. Enjoy your Sunday bro Sootch, best wishes, MIKE.
