Just got back from the range. After putting 1200+ rounds through my new G2c over a period of 3 weeks the only thing I had was one FTE. Most likely due to a feed ramp that needs a good cleaning.
My friend, who owns both a Glock and a Sig 9mm has had to send both back for minor repairs after less than a 1000 rounds between the 2.
Taurus G2c's are AWSOME pistols! Get one today!

I’m thinking second or third, s&w shield is probably gonna be first, and then either sig p365 or g43 will be second I bet, and then this as third. Maybe this will edge into second.

You should probably watch the video all of the comments section that you're in.. proven 10,000 rounds no malfunctions I bought mine just because of the price in case the zombie apocalypse happened I can give one to my neighbors and it's become my favorite gun.. and I have to admit I was skeptical at first, I took it to the range and intentionally put a lot of rounds through it trying to make it fail. I even bought really shity ammo to get it to fail, and it runs like a champ I have 1900 rounds through it without a single malfunction. it replaced my glock 26 as my everyday carry.. go out and shoot it you'll understand.. lol meanwhile Sig is currently having a lot of the issues that Taurus had 20 years ago and everybody keeps making excuses for them

I just recently changed the triggers out for KeepTinkering's triggers and it made all the difference in the world to me. It's was okay to shoot before, but it's much better now. I've been carrying my G2C now for over 2 1/2 years now every single day for conceal carry. And the only issues ive ever had with the gun with just under 2K rounds put through it is ive had to use the restrike 3 times because that striker failed to discharge the round. (could be the Blazer Ammo that cause that) And when reloading fast it can pinch the shit out of the meat of the palm of my hand between the mag well and the magazine.
Everything else on the gun has run flawlessly and i'm currently trying to find another conceal carry handgun for myself and about to give my son the gun for his first handgun for his 21st birthday but, its looking more and more like i'm just gonna replace it with another G2C or G3C. Its perfect to conceal size wise and it just works. And i have many other much more expensive much nicer handguns but, all of them are full size guns. Its just been an all round great carry gun that's yet to let me down. And ive worked with it a lot too so i know the gun well and am pretty comfortable with it and confident. Which i think helps too. About the other other gun ive found i may consider over it is a CZ p-10C. Those are really nice and i love CZ firearms personally.

I had a PT111 g2 and put 1300 rounds through it without an issue that wasn't caused by dirty cheap steel cased ammo, sold it to a friend and bought a TH9, put 1600 rounds through it flawlessly without non ammo related issues, sold it to a friend and bought another G2C, I currently have about 1800 rounds through it with only ammo related malfunctions, I'd without hesitation trust my life to the G2C, I know its reliable, cheap and for me exceptionally accurate. good to see other people appreciating this amazing little budget concealed carry piece.

Sounds like everyone had issues though... I have this gun and run into the same problems. After about 1500 rounds my F2Feed or FTE's are down to about 1%, and it's mostly just not fully seating the new round into the chamber, with a small tap or push quickly fixing the issue. Now I haven't cleaned the mags aside from the follower, so maybe that's my issue.

I have had my G2 for about 2 years. Terrific pistol for the money. I'm a gunsmith and decided to make a few mods after shooting 500 rounds through it. Put in a stainless striker sleeve for the sake of longevity and that disables the silly slide key lock as a side benefit. Put in a stainless recoil spring/guide rod assembly after seeing some wear on the polymer OEM unit. Again a longevity item. Put a set of fiber optic sights on as the OEM plastic sight are a breakage waiting to happen in normal use. Put a "Keep Tinkering" aftermarket trigger on the gun to get rid of the stupid glock trigger safety. The other parts are from LakeLine LLC. All told I have $310 in the gun and mods. Stellar bargain, any way you look at it. This gun sees a LOT OF CARRY TIME as it has earned its place in my carry rotation.
After reading in another forum, my last mod will be an upgraded magazine latch as recommended by a few folks. Going to get that from Taurus direct.

I've got a Ruger LCP that has been garbage since day one. It malfunctions constantly and I've thrown 3 extractors out of it in 1,500 rounds or so. But it only cost me $200 and it's not a gun I carry or use for self defense. So instead of sending it back to Ruger to get it fixed I've just been bringing it to the range every trip to practice clearing malfunctions and fixing broken parts quickly. I've gotten to the point where I can replace the extractor, extractor plunger, and extractor spring in under 4 minutes with just a pocket multi tool. To me it was worth the $200 plus the occasional $20 for spare parts just to practice malfunction clearing and quick on the spot fixes. If I didn't have a gun like that I would find another way to simulate malfunctions just because it's good practice.

Thank you for doing this. I am a gunsmith, and believe it or not, I do not work on that many Taurus guns. People have a lot of good things to say about them when they own them. My opinion is since the guns are so inexpensive, people automatically label them as junk. For people that can't afford the Glocks, Sigs, H&K, and so on, Taurus is a great alternative.

Definitely not in unpopular pistol, but certainly some snobbery, some of it earned, towards the brand. I was early on the trend curve with the G2, I loved it the moment I put my hands around the grip. Son-in-law thought I was nuts for buying a Taurus, but he's since changed his mind.

Teach your son to have a firm grip and not to limp wrist on the recoil. That will cause malfunctions. I suspect that is the problem. I don't know how old he is, but even I am guilty of getting relaxed and not using a firm grip. The only malfunctions I had were from limp wristing. What can I say? Shooting is relaxing.
