Welcome to another episode of our web-series, Where It Was Made, in which we revisit the actual filming locations for some of the most popular films ever made and see how they're holding up today, all while examining just how these locations were used in the finished film. Our latest episode heads to Bean Town USA, aka Boston, Massachusetts to revisit the locales from Martin Scorsese's The Departed.

I was there that day on Charles St when they filmed the scene. They made the front of the cleaners look like a bar. The crew spent the whole day for that short scene where Leo walks outside and talks to the 2 guys. Then he goes around the corner and talks on his cell phone.
They made us back up because the crowd could be seen in the reflection of the window. After that Leo was sitting in a chair on that side street and some lady was doing his hair or something.
Beacon St was full of trucks and cables and trailers. Martin S. was walking around Charles St in that brown suit. Then Leo got in a black SUV and waved and the crowd was all like - Yay Leo. All that crew and vehicles and cameras for about 1 minute of footage.
There is a store next to the cleaners called DeLucas, I was in that store earlier that day picking out vegetables and I looked out the front window and Leo D. was sitting in a chair outside the store on the sidewalk.

Where is the exact location of where quennan and dignam confront Frank? Does anyone know
is that Matt Damon narrating the video
Homey said, "I never wanted to become a product of my environment. I wanted my environment to become a product of ME!"- That's a line only an Alpha male will overstand.
The Departed is right up there with Training Day, TIED for my favorite cop flick. And THAT'S SAYING something cause I'm a Black man who's never been to Boston & Training Day HAD to be Denzel's 3 way tie for his best performance
Glory,
John Q,
Training Day TIED!
They're his BEST.
And still?
The Departed TIES with Training Day.

In Korea...where Scorsese stole it.
He didn't steal it, everyone attached to the movie at one point or another mentions the unfortunately titled, "Infernal Affairs." Besides, Nicholson does act one whole hell of a lot like our infamous gangster, Whitey Bulger.
