I use this bag as my go to carry on bag when I fly. It can hold everything ! I went on a 4 day trip and was able to take everything I needed using the military roll of course to pack my clothes. The organization this bag has is second to none. It has a pocket for everything and it’s built to last forever. I only take a carry on when I fly if I can’t put it in the overhead bin it fits under the seat. Highly recommended

What do you use as a rain cover for the bag?
I looked in their website and they dont sell any rain cover for it

    • @Porter4213

@@DarkestKnight2424 I don’t use a rain cover the bag is water resistant but not water proof. I don’t see myself getting stuck in any downpours long enough for the bag to be drenched. I don’t go hiking or anything like that it’s just used as a travel carry on bag for when I go to Florida which I visit about 4 times a year

It's recommended indeed. I own one. It can carry lot of things and still doesn't make the overall look of the bag too bulky, even for an Asian like me. I travel alot, with motorcycle across cities, or by airplane, or by ship across the islands.. this bag is just so good. I can also put morale patch on it, so the room for personalizations is plenty.
The side buckle can be adjusted to allow the bag to be thinner and can be used for daily activities (for work, hangout, etc).
Though, in my country, it's a bit overpriced.

Will the bag fit underneath the front seat on an airplane flight or do you have to put it in the overhead compartment?

When you put a water bottle in the side pouch, does it push in and take up space in the main compartment or is the side pouch sewed on to and sticking out from the side of the pack, adding volume to the main part of the bag?

Used this bag years ago daily. I actually used to put my laptop in the framesheet compartment and worked very well. Having the laptop in the main compartment makes it hard to get out if you have other things in front of it.

I own the rush 12 myself and I find it a little. Small so I'm looking for larger bags for travel and camping.
But I'd just like to say something about the "air channels" on the back of the bag, they do not work.. No airflow whatsoever and simply does not work.. I preassume that's the same for all the rush bags since they all have the same design

I ended up selling mine on and replaced it with a Blackhawk Cyclone pack, it's miles better and comes with a bladder and chunky waistbelt if you need to add serious weight in it, and the back of the pack has a memory foam sort of back panel that is breathable unlike the 5.11 rush 12. Also an admin panel in one of the pockets on the outer of the bag is totally removable via hook and loop and frees up more space should you need it, it's a much better pack all round.

if you are a tall person, and strong, this size may be a good option, if you are small person and not so strong :))) with things inside, it is a heavy pack, for town but especially for camping and also it is expensive one, From my experience with this pack i can say that yes, it is a quality one for materials, but the acces it is not so simple, the ziipers are quality. For a small person in city, it is a big pack, are a lot of others veersions of backpacks in Decathlon for example, cheapper, also quality and more practical and a lot easier.

if you're going through a drizzle or running through rain to get to say a parking lot it's fine. But the material itself isn't that water resistant and from my use seems to absorb water if there's a lot. I would suggest getting some form of rain cover if you really wanna be safe.

Great pack, but I don't like those "draining" holes. I'd rather have a waterproof material on the bottom, since nobody intends to let so much water get in their pack anyway as to need draining holes. That would mean all your stuff is completely wet and probably ruined anyway. A rain cover is much more useful.

Couple things why would you want to tuck your straps on a tactical pack its not designed to be carried on a armor carrier
Shoulder strap release points are for ditching the pack no need to. Clip them into something else take a look at first tactical for that tactix pack
The compression straps are multi purpose made to squeeze gear down
Also to allow you to partial open the pack for weapons etc
It takes a 15” not larger lap top
This pack was designed for responders not for travel
When influencers do reviews keep that it mind when adding the product to a category place it correctly and do a video on what it ia designed for because you are reducing its designed rating .
Also you mentioned lower compression straps just get the $9 tag along 511 straps for that and get yourself a hip belt as well
If you are not a warrior please do not do reviews on gear that you do not know its true function it makes your video cringe
