By far the hardest part is reconnecting the cable for the flashbulb. Serg has clearly done it many times. Also, removing the lower inside cover (the one containing the speaker) is unnecessary. You can even see in the video it is not impeding the battery's removal. Thank you for the video, Serg.
I laid mine on a heating pad on high, covered with a microfiber towel and a small weight on top. I used the guitar pick type separators (like his) and it came off with no problems and no breakage.
Thank you for a great tutorial. I realize this was a brand new phone, so can you tell me if I should remove my Sim & SD cards before heating it up to change the battery? Doing mine tomorrow, hopefully I can get a reply quickly!!
I bought my S8+ brand new and put it in an otterbox on day 1. Here we are 5 years later, the phone has been great but the battery swelled up and separated the rear cover. Since the battery swelled, I cannot seal the back cover it just pivots on the swollen battery like a teeter-totter. I know it's time for a new phone but damn, what a silly way to go.
A person did a video on Samsung phones and on one battery he showed the govt was taking pictures and recording what you are saying. He showed how to peel it off t he battery. Have you experienced this or seen it?

Thank you my friend very good advice,
What is the size of the screw driver
How much is a battery and a new back ?
I agree...looks like they screwed us again, gotta buy another $900 phone over a battery
So, there is a need of a new back cover too?!
If you careful enough with the adhesive and the glass then there is no need

You dont need to buy a heat gun, I used my furnace/owen plates :)
Oh I can see this operation go to disaster really quick.

yep. mine shorted the second i tried to lift it
Not really lmao, if you're replacing the battery, the phone's practically a goner if you don't succeed anyhow lol
My screen went to shit when I put force to lift the battery like that.

It would be a huge help if the music in the demo wasn’t SO MUCH LOUDER THAN THE SPEECH IT BLASTS YOU OUT EVERY TIME. Just saying.
Is s8 and s8+ battery same size?

Music is bad…
Music is WAY too loud. In fact, it's unnecessary. Everything else is great.
Well this sux
What a pain in the ass? Why would samsung make getting the battery in and out such a PITA???????????
