Hi Hannah! Congrats on the rebrand. I'm a designer who specializes in web accessibility and wanted to give you a heads up on something. I would strongly encourage you to revisit the color combos on your website. Just looking at the homepage, the white font on pink (podcast section), white font on orange (books section), and the orange font on pink (footer) are all failing WCAG contrast tests. That means for someone with a visual impairment/color blindness, it would be difficult to impossible to read. The font weight chosen is also light enough that it makes it even harder to read with these color combos. Not trying to be a downer at all, I just know inclusivity and accessibilty are important to you so I wanted to let you know. ❤
The fact that you've discussed your sex life, shown things like casts of your breasts and vulva, and can STILL be described more as a "cute friend" or "nerd" is a great case for the fact that sex Ed and sex health can be taught in a non sexual way honestly.
I feel like this is re-centering the experience of sexuality on the fun and joy, rather than a more harsh, transactional feel. (And away from what I perceive as the more male, cis, traditional power dynamic involved in sex and sexuality.)
Firstly, this video is absolutely incredible. I didn't realise how much work went into rebranding! And also, your hair and make up for the photoshoot is INSANE (and the clothes) - I need to see more of this photoshoot immediately!
I reaaly love when you make these videos that cover an extended period of time. It is really satisfying to see the start to finish or near finish in one video.
Since this is about a company rebrand I got the okay to count this as professional development/training at work. So get to watch at work without guilt. Very pleased.
I love you taking us on this behind the scenes adventure! I'm low key obsessed with all of your new branding, especially your new headshots. I giggled at you saying "It looks kind of chaotic but fun, I want to be involved in this brand!" about your own brand!! This video and last week's video have really inspired me to do a big sit down planning session and revamp my own portfolio website. (Also, I know I've already told you this, but your yellow jumpsuit is INCREDIBLE!!) 💛
I had no idea what a brand manager did and this has really taught me how much talent and skill goes into it! Thank you for giving me this insight I feel like I've gained a new appreciation for this element of business.
can I say, I LOVE the new rebrand! I was curious to your decision to do the new headshots with a full face of make-up, since I feel like lately you've been wearing none/minimal make-up in most of your content? I remember you talking about this in a video at some point, how you want to 'advocate' (not the right word probably) for more bare faces on the internet, so I was wondering if you thought about that at all for your headshots or not. You look absolutely stunning either way and I love seeing clothes that I recognise from your fashion videos in your headshots!!
yeah my same thoughts. Is a difficult decision to make because in deed, everyone looks better with makeup, even cis gender men look better. So, for professional photo it feels right to wear makeup. She looks put together. Her face is great either way but it definitely looks better with a nice even color that make up gives her.
omg as someone who enjoys your content a lot, but also works as a creative copywriter in a brand and content team in a big UK charity, this is a goldmine!! Loveee seeing people’s perspectives on brand and re-brands! Ty for this 😊
This is such a fascinating peek at all the choices. I'm o sessed with the idea of sunset theme for colours! That feels like it pulls the colours you love into something that all can flow together without being all shades of one tone.
This is definitely one of my favorite videos of yours! Your enthusiam is contagious and the behind the scenes footage is FASCINATING. Also seeing how intentional every decision is and how much work goes into it makes me appreciate it even more. Cheers on the rebranding, Hannah!
Not in the industry myself whatsoever but always feel like your videos (ie breaking down finances, scheduling, now branding ) are the Most helpful/informative for ppl who would benefit from understanding how these processes work 👍🏻🙂 (and fun for me just as a sticky beak 😋)
I looooved seeing this so much! I'm also working in Design & am usually on the other side of it all so it was super interesting to see it from your perspective 💛 love love love the new colour palette / font choices and always love the moment clients realize how important the basic ground work is!
I loooove being able to see behind the process with branding. I work on both branding and illustration so it's so fun to see how other people work with clients. Thanks for letting us in Hannah, and props to your designer on doing a great job! (dunno if it's a big deal for you guys...but typically book spines read from top to bottom. It is a bit strange having them from bottom up.)
I'm a current patron and I'm obsessed with a couple of the new wallpapers, but this made me realize I hadn't downloaded the old ones either, and so it feels like a belated treat because I'm loving those too! Tampon rocket for the win
Loved seeing this behind the scenes! I make this type of video about my own work as a Creative Director and I love that you brought us along the branding journey from a client perspective! The new brand looks great 🙌
I looove these kinds of videos, it's fascinating seeing how much work goes into something that many people wouldn't even think about but has a huge impact!
I love this video. I love your channels and as an autistic person rebanding doesn't always agree with me but going through a step by step process of it changing then seeing it helped so much such as good video thank you.
Wow it's amazing to see the process behind a whole re-brand! Your designer Kate did an amazing job!! As an illustrator myself this honestly looks like a dream project to me! Congrats to everyone involved ❤
I love hearing about all the aspects! The UA-cam channels, podcast, social media accounts, website, newsletter, existing books, needing fonts, photos, designs and colours for it all and putting it all together as an image that fits your current branding and favourites and just levels it up in a way that the casual observer would probably not feel too strongly about other than inexplicably feeling like it's nicer now: It is a huge undertaking, so congratulations for achieving it. Now the only question remaining is: Do I start my own brand or do I become a designer after watching this?😂
This was an awesome process to watch! I'm excited to see what's coming up! I didn't know you could get someone to look into all this stuff to make sure you rebrand in the "right" way!
Congrats on the successful rebrand! It looks absolutely amazing! Eventhough you showed all the aspect in the video I just had to check it out for myself and had a look on all platforms :D I especially love the incorporation of the doodbles and the purple.
The wink heart face is such a cute doodle for your brand! I feel like when you wink though your cheek bunches on the side of your face where the wink is?? Maybe the winky eye and the open eye should swap!
I am a chronic multitasker, but i actually sat down and just enjoyed this entire video. I love the behind the scenes view of your rebrand and the result. So well done.
Absolutely love this video! The palette you landed on is great - it makes me want to completely redo my website colour palette which is currently red, black and white which is not me at all (I'm a soft summer)! So excited to start working on it, thank you for the inspiration!
I wondered what the teeeenie tiny logo was ..I noticed it and was tryin to wipe it off my screen as it’s SO tiny I can hardly see and thought it was a mark on my screen lol
Sooo interesting to see! Love the colours and vibes so much. I have to only say I'm a bit unsure about the makeup. It feels very different from how you look in most or all of your video's. It looks super pretty! But it is very different
like the toy you settled on, the spurting one was confusing (or I haven't been shopping in a while). was surprised that the thumbnail page she sent was 6 (w/1 dupe) stoma/IBS focused out of 20. that didn't seem very current, although I suppose history is important, too
I think your content is much more sophisticated than you are giving it credit. The style of the illustrations might be in your personal style, however, it is not representative of the themes and execution of the videos in my personal opinion. The photos are great and are much more in line with what I am trying to describe above.😊

I really think that the stylist you saw for your colour analysis did a bad job, and it's unfortunate to see that bleeding over into decisions you made about your rebrand colours, even though the ones you ended up going with are good. The 4 seasons colour pallets were the starting point for colour analysis, and they're a good starting point, but they really don't capture the full variation that people can have. Insisting on only 4 seasons at this point is old fashioned and most colour stylists use a more complex system with sub-season categories, or just describe what tones of colour work best for their client. You are a warm spring/bright autum, somewhere in between the spring and autumn colour pallets. You are naturally drawn to the bright autumn colours and the more muted spring colours because they are the best colours for you. Your stylist really did you a diservice by pushing you towards the cooler clearer parts of the spring pallet when you don't really like them and they're not your best colours.

I think it's a reflection of the fact that Hannah's brand has evolved from having a drink and a yarn with mates into a business with employees producing high quality media. We've had a lot of insight over the years into the story of that evolution and those decisions. I agree that at a few points this video felt kinda corporate but that does kinda make sense- this is a business! I really don't think it comes across as privileged or contradicts what we love about Hannah. Personally Im really enjoying the new direction but if it's not your cup of tea fair enough!

UX designer here - absolutely agree, thanks for calling this out. Accessibility is so important
That's really interesting, thank you!
TBH even without a disability, it's not the most readable !

You have no idea how much a long Hannah Witton video brightens up my day!
Hannah frantically shoveling fries while showing all the newly designed stuff was glorious 😂❤ please never change!

22:09 did anyone else pick up on the misspelling of ‘subsribe’? 😂 hope that got fixed up!
It’s so cool to see how your business works!
Saw the rebrand and was hoping for a behind the scenes look. Excited to watch this when I can!
Wow it's amazing to see the process behind a whole re-brand! Your designer Kate did an amazing job!! As an illustrator myself this honestly looks like a dream project to me! Congrats to everyone involved ❤
38:03 It's so satisfying how cohesive it all is!
Wow, what an involved process. But you can really tell the effort in the results. Good job!
LOVED this behind the scenes video!! It was so cool to see the new branding come together and it all looks SO GOOD!!

Haha why thank you 🦉
Love to see the colour palette being thought out. Looks so good!
Love the behind the scenes! Great rebrand and photos. :)
Thanks for sharing this! It was super interesting to see all the steps of the branding process. And I love the end products!
This is really cool! You and your team seem very motivated by the rebranding and I'm very excited for all things coming 🤩
Such an interesting BTS!
Love, love, love this behind the scenes and how excited you are about the rebrand finally launching 🎉
What a great rebrand! Just wondering, is there a way of making the sunflower logo a little bigger on the videos? I love this little guy 🌻
I love getting the behind the scenes and just up and personal!! This is so nice ☺️💕
Loooooove this! I appreciated the lunch on the go. Life is fast and it's nice to see.
This video is soooo interesting ! The new branding and the new photos are absolutely beautiful 🤩🤩🤩
Loved this video, super interesting! Thanks you for bringing us along the prosess 😊

Fascinating such an interesting watch. Loved it, but it’s you so always love 😍
both channels look so great! i'm so happy for you
LOVE
BRILLIANT 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
This is so interesting topic! Looking so good!
Really cool video!! I love behind the scenes content
Amazing video 🎉🎉 how come the teal blue didn't make the final colour pallete even though it's still really prominent (love that colour to bits) x
Congratulations ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
How accessible is this to someone blind?
Love it all 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤❤
Loved seeing the whole journey! Also loving the L&Y boilersuit, is that spring yellow I see?
I LOVED this video ❤ (even if I didn't realise you rebrand your channels and changed your picture 😅)
Fascinating video love it
Thanks
Sooo interesting to see! Love the colours and vibes so much.
I have to only say I'm a bit unsure about the makeup. It feels very different from how you look in most or all of your video's. It looks super pretty! But it is very different
great video !!!
Where was the other website hosted?
The smiley heart does look a lot like the comme des garçons logo just so you know!

not the "subsribe" button with the hansel and gretel finger, omg. this is a some 4-year-old could do this situation, isn't it?
Leaving a comment for the algorithm
I wish a stoma or something (idk how that would work like visually) was visible somewhere in there. Other than that, love it!

Sometimes you remind me of Natalie Portman. This video is one of them.
Esta mujer me ha robado a mi tengo pruebas de todo el dinero que yo le envié para invertir y me estafó ñ 11:09
this was such a great video and I loved seeing the behind the scenes stuff for the business-y side of the brand. but the eating and chewing was too much for me and I had to stop watching 😫
As a graphic designer this video was porn to me!!
Fun video to see, but am I the only one that found the eating bit discusting? (I just know that I can't handle that stuff)
This all seems a bit much and very corporate. I think bringing in costly branding/color consultants conflicts with your authentic, ordinary person persona, and risks highlighting the “privileged white girl” aspects of your brand. Or perhaps my reactions are just to the “peek behind the curtains” aspects of this video, which I appreciate and find really interesting. Something like “you don’t actually want to see how the sausage is made” :-).

believe me, this doesn't look like it was done by a costly branding expert... looks quite unfinished, but it was fun to watch anyway!
